Satellite L650-S5096 - error when installing recovery

My brother ordered me this laptop online from Best Buy for my Christmas present in Dec.2010. After I opened and he started upward, I did then the system backup disc as it was told to do. I showed that I needed to 4 discs for back to the top after the fourth disc, he said that it was over. OK, so now I know that I've saved it in addition to the recovery partition also.

So, last month, I wanted to do a restore of the system on this laptop. So I pulled out the 4 disks and put in the first and he did his thing and then asked for the 2nd and so on. Then after the fourth was done he said to put in the next disc, but I don't have a fifth backup drive. He had me only use 4 when I got it to save.

And then abandoned on the problem of disk and restarted and I got to the recovery partition. So after that I started the process by clicking ok for all the warnings about everything will be deleated I arrived at the first installation process, then after five minutes, he went to the next process where it says "Copy files" and after 30 seconds or so, a box appears asking to insert the next disc.

So I called Toshiba and talked about using technology, and they told me to unplug everything on the laptop and then turn it over and remove the battery for a minute. And then reconnect the power cord and then put the battery in and turn on the computer.
So after she started upward he went to the BIG WARNING page on everything will be lost and deleated so I cliked next and next through the next coupld of no, then it poped an error message that says (error: F3-F200-0002).

After repeating the process a few times the same thing continues to be. So when I talked to Jasmine on 11/06/2011 from technical support, she told me I can call Monday 13 and ask for the case manager and that she would approve that they send me a recovery disk free presence that is the disk does not copy at the moment where I followed it there Backup Wizard and he recovery partition is messed up. So I called the case manager today, and Doug told me that I have to pay to get the recovery disk.

In my view, it's very bad customer service and I will never buy another thing from Toshiba again. And I will make all my colleagues and friends know that I went thru with this laptop...

In my case, I was able to create the successfully recovery disk and everything was ok I ve also recovered the laptop once using the recovery of HARD drive and it worked too

    I am looking to re - install Windows using the Toshiba HDD Recovery software on my hard drive to restore the computer to factory settings.
    I followed the procedure to do this in the System Recovery Options, but received the following message is displayed:

    I think that this could happen due to HARD drive failure if you get an error during reading of data from the HARD drive then the first device that should e tested is the HARD drive.

    If you n t want to buy a new disk only to run tests, then you could contact the mobile technician who could check the HARD disk and could eventually replace them.

    I have the Satellite L650 - 10H and I want to format it to install WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE.
    So I tried to format and do a new partition on my hard drive and I used acronis Disk Director 11 and may not see the hard drive!
    Same magic 8 partition or server paragon 10 and no software can see the hard drive!

    In the same way, I tried to make an image on my hard drive and acronis true image 2010 do not.

    Hmmm... Also, I use the paragon 10 Server to create partitions. But why are you trying to create a startup disk? Install the server paragon 10 on your computer, and then make the best partition size.

    Made a new installation disc integrated with all updated sata drivers, I still get the message. I'm not sure about how I would install drivers of third party on the F6 function because it has not a diskette and cany to find how to do the same thing in a CD anywere.

    I appreciate that we should all try to use the vista OS that came with it, but it is a problem of compatibility with older software that I use.

    I think that there is something wrong with the SATA drivers. My Satellite L300 works with XP without problems or BSOD when installing.

    The SATA drivers are in this package, and the Intel Storage Manager you can download on the Toshiba site.
    You can create your own installation with nLite (http://www.nliteos.com/) disc.
