Satellite L750D-14R - keyboard missing letters when you type

I recently bought a laptop L750D-14R and he has problems with the keyboard completely ignoring letters when you type.

If I type any faster than the pace of 1 finger of each hand, and then I can abandon typing altogether.
If anyone else has had a similar problem and if so is there a solution?

Hello

Yes, I know that this question.
As far as I know that this has been fixed by the updated BIOS

See the European driver of Toshiba page and download the latest BIOS for your laptop model.
Update the BIOS and check how it works.

The same thing happened to me. I use an old notebook and the problem has been resolved by the BIOS updated.
It seems you laptop computer A200 is a series of very new and not very long on the market.
That's why I put t think that new BIOS is already available.

Take a look at the Toshiba page from time to time, and perhaps the new BIOS will be available.

  • Satellite P300-22R - missing letters when you type too fast

    Hello!

I found a lot of articles about my problem in the internet, but I have not found a solution

My keyboard on my P300-22R ist no longer works. If I write a little too fast, there are a few missing letters or they come twice.

I already read the http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB1103370000R02.htm of Toshiba, that I should install a BIOS update to fix the problem. The update of the Bios was a success, the inexplicable laptop properly. But it doesn't seem to work so far. Still a few letters are missing.

Do you have any other ideas? It's really boring, write a text like this: Pei

    Do you need information more?

    Thanks for your help!

    >... ist no longer works
How to understand this? And in the past, everything was OK?
What operating system do you use?
When you type a little slower is there a difference?

To be honest this problem on P300 is not known to me because I've installed on my Win7 32 bit a year ago and so far all brothers works perfectly.

  • Missing letters when you type on Satellite M105

I use a Satellite M105-S3084 (Windows XP MCE) and fighting in vain with a keyboard problem since I bought it first. I tend to type fast, especially the double letters and find that very often a single of double letters appears on the screen. For example, 'kk' translate to 'k' only and the similar missing letters even if not doubled. This causes a lot of waste of time correcting what I type.

I know that there are parameters under control Panel\Keyboard ("repeat delay" and "repeat rate") which allow the adjustment of speeds, but I found the frustrating to use. I tried both with different settings and still have a problem with the missing letters. Maybe I don't know how to define that, and I just get frustrated, or there is another bet in another place which I do not know.

Others have had this problem with the mising letters while typing and found a solution?

    Thank you.

    Hello, Jeff

If I'm remembering right, there was a similar problem with the Satellite L10 and L20, I don't remember. This problem has been fixed with the new version of the BIOS. US models of laptops are not known to me, but if you have time you can check IRIS ask on the page we Toshiba. You will find many interesting documents.

Check it out under the http://askiris.toshiba.com/ToshibaSupportSite/supportcentral/supportcentral.do?id=m1

Maybe you will be lucky and find something on your problem with the keyboard.

  • Sam L20: Missing characters when you type

    Hi all!
I have a problem with my brand new L20 miss a lot of characters when I type. After searching in the forums, it seems that a few people also have this problem. I was wondering if anyone has had any chance to fix this problem yet.

As far as I know, the problem seems to be in Windows XP, (I dual-boot with Linux Slackware 10.2 and do not notice the problem here) and I * think * it might have something to do with the internet. I say this because it is really noticeable for me when I'm online, writing emails etc... (Written on this forum takes a lot of error correction) :)

Has anyone else has been able to isolate when this problem is at its worst?

Also, is it possible to group all those who encounter this same issue in a thread? I think that there are about 3 separate threads here where people have mentioned this problem, it would be nice to get everyone together to see if we can solve.

I brought this laptop for programming, and as you can imagine I dare not try try any coding while what is happening, because it would cause too many problems :)
So please, any help, advice, tips, advice or solutions would be welcome.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lee

This problem only appears when you type :)))

  • Satellite L670-1J0 - keyboard missing letters guard

    Hello.

It started to happen a few days ago and I recently bought this laptop about 4 weeks ago. Anyway, whenever I type, keyboard guard running out of letters, symbols, and spaces. It doesn't seem to be a pattern whose lettters etc. are left out. It looks like a delay between each letter while typing / keyboard is slow to respond.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hey,.

I think that in this case why you use an older version of BIOS. On the Toshiba Web site, there is an update to resolve this problem:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

But I m wondering about your question. Have you done a search forum before? I found a lot of discussions with the same behavior and update the BIOS has always been the solution for this problem:

This problem usually comes from the flattening of contacts tiny keyboard metal inside or corrosion from moisture. It is probably time to replace the unit.

  • Very unusual behavior of Satellite L750D-14R

One of my kids has a portable Satellite L750D-14R and a couple of weeks complained that the laptop was slow. It * was * slow - it took 10 to 15 actual minutes just to load of minecraft, and then the game was unplayable because it was so slow. He already had 6 GB of RAM. To try to fix it, I reinstalled Windows 8 (when we bought, it came with windows 7 and I upgraded to 8.1 Windows), all system updates and the windows update 8.1.

He seemed to be okay, at this point, faster. But he began to blue screen regularly, as every time it has been used. I tried to reinstall another, this time by installing Windows 8.1 directly. I made all the system updates etc and he began to blue screen. At that time, I had already spent a lot of time trying to fix it. This time, I went for the nuclear option full-on and completely formatted the disk including the removal of all partitions. There are 3 partitions, a very small recovery partition and the system partition and data. I thought I wouldn't need recovery - if there were any problems I could format and reinstall again. So I amazed all the scores and grouped into a single partition on the disk.

The laptop is now completely unusable. With the HDD Toshiba original (freshly formatted) installed the laptop starts just directly to a blue screen that says:

"Recovery, your PC needs to be repaired. The application or the operating system could not be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors. File: \WINDOWS\System32\winload.exe
    Error code: 0xc000000f

You will need to use the tools of recovery on your installation media. If you do not have the installation media contact your system administrator to the manufacturer.

    Press ENTER to try again
    Press F8 for startup parameters.

Pressing enter or F8 is simply the screen flashes for less than a second, then it goes back to the same message again. It tries to start, it shows not the BIOS or normal startup messages, or the Toshiba logo or anything like that.

With a drive HARD new, freshly formatted, the laptop does nothing when I turn it on - entirely black screen with a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen. It does not boot to the BIOS, there is no system messages or logos, I can't type in the location of the cursor, it is just flashing indefinitely.

It's as if there was something on the "valorisation" partition which stops users to upgrade the HARD drive or something - any player who does not have this 'special' recovery partition do not work, thus ensuring that consumers buy a new laptop when it grinds to stop instead of the upgrade. This may sound cynical, but I saw anti-mise at material level similar solutions in the past - Compaq PC used to have special notches plastic cast on optical drives, so that readers could be used in the frame of Compaq.

Just to put things in context, I'm not a computer expert, qualified or not, or whatever it is, * but * I was an engineer office support for a very large company for a long time, a few years ago. I have built, repaired and updated hundreds of computers over a period of about 20 years, and in all this time, I've never seen a problem like this. What I mean is, I'm not a total computer novice! Usually a full format and reinstall everything except material patches broke, and it does not feel like a broken hardware problem.

The laptop is 1 to 2 years. I'm sure laptops should last longer than that. I really don't want it's bin again. Is there something I can do? I can recreate this special anti-mise to partition somehow level?

With a drive HARD new, freshly formatted, the laptop does nothing when I turn it on - entirely black screen with a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen

The cursor blinking in the upper left corner is a typical sign of HARD drive / partition problems or memory problem.
But HARD DISK must be check at the first stage.

According to your message, you could reinstall Win 8 on this HARD drive...

I recommend you install Windows system once more after the HARD drive has been formatted.
The best choice would be the use of the support of recovery Toshiba (disk) which allows you to reset the phone to factory settings, but I guess that you have not created this record in the past. Right?

Well, if you need this disk, you can always order the middle of Toshiba Arvato serice.
More I would recommend checking the HARD drive using some 3rd party software such as
Drive Fitness Test (google for free download)

As mentioned, next to the potential problem of HARD drive, the RAM might be the troublemaker...
Then you should also consider the RAM check or replacement of RAM...

  • Re: Satellite A60-106 - deleting characters when you type

Hi, hoping someone here can help me...

Toshiba Satellite A60 106 running Windows XP missing characters when I type. If I type very slowly every key works fine. Many letters are removed to normal typing speed. This happens in all applications and does not load. The key repeat rate is also slower that we should (I know how to define it, the problem is not with the setting but with the fact that the setting is not honored or recognized correctly).

Virus/spyware scanner reports clean. The problem started all of a sudden for no apparent reason and does not seem to be associated with any hardware or software changes. Tried to start in safe mode, try to disable all non-essential progams services started via msconfg but to no avail. problem still there.

Laptop has historically suffered badly from overheating, but this problem is not related of course it's the same thing that the machine is hot or cold.

    Any ideas?

Have you installed drivers for a keyboard or an external mouse? (for example, Logitech or Microsoft)

If you boot into MSDOS, it always falls of characters? You can download a boot BACK on www.bootdisk.com disk

What BIOS version? You have the latest version?
