Satellite L755-1NX repair and warranty

Two months ago, I bought a new Toshiba Satellite L755-1NX.

After this short period of normal use, the connection between the charger and the computer was damaged from overheating problems. The laptop and the Charger AC/DC seem to be tonwork well outside this huge detail which prevents me from using the computer.

I contacted Toshiba Service customer and went to a repair center with my laptop. There, I was informed that since this model had no known connection problem (something that I have translated as not enough complaints) the warranty does not cover repair.

If I am to fix that I have to spend an additional 90, setting a new computer and there is no guarantee that this problem will happen again in the future.

I complained to the service the customer in Spain and they stated that the warranty includes no physical damage to the laptop. I do not accept this answer, since there is an obvious defect in the connection. Asides from that, the law says clearly that it is up to the seller to prove the wrong use of any electronic device and not the customer to prove a defect.

Any ideas on how to proceed outside to make a formal complaint to the defence of client and not recommend Toshiba to anyone?

I really put t know how something like this can happen. I mean if the temperature was so high in this respect damage what is with laptop parts and other components. Following my logic, your laptop should be more damaged than that.

Please don t get me wrong now, but anyway this is a strange question. You are also the first person who reported about it so I sure this is nothing else than to isolated reports of m.

Be cool and try to clarify this point with the service. They have their own rules as any other serous company.

I put t know what to say on this subject. For me, it sounds rather childish. When I read it, this looks like some sort of revenge and how to get satisfaction. Don t waste your time with something that won't help at all. You would do the same if you have problems with TV, VCR, phone, car... and and and... I don t think so. Where is the end?

In the past, I had several problems with different products in my house or my car. That s the life my friend. Sometimes, everything is OK, but sometimes, we just... .bad luck.

    I have a problem with the conector HDMI to my new laptop, I have bougth 2 weeks ago.
    The laptop detects no HDMI port. When I conect the laptop to a TV or monitor on a different pc, any of these detects anything.

    I tried to update a lot of drivers, old and new drivers Nvidia display drivers Intel... And I also do the 4 recovery DVDs, to restore the laptop to factory settings.

    All this without any solution. When I press Fn + F5, only there is the option of the LCD screen.

    I intend to use the guarantee to repair the laptop, because I think it's a hardware problem.

    I think you should use the recovery discs that you made in the past.
    Retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings and check if the HDMI would work again.

    And of course: it is possible that your HDMI cable is not correct.

    The Auguste user had the same problem with the Atheros WLan card and the driver update has solved this problem. You said you've already tried this, but maybe you didn t use the updated driver.

    Also try to disable the option: leave the laptop turn off the WIFI device in order to save the battery.
    This can be found in the device-> Wlan card Properties Manager

  • Satellite L755 after error - BIOS update service is not a warranty case

    3. I can refuse the repair, but in this case, I still have to pay 100 Swiss francs for diagnostics.
    Why the hell should I pay for the diagnosis, even if the laptop is still on warranty + it was pretty clear what the problem was, like many people in the face of that, and Toshiba service for sure shoud be aware of this problem.

    I just bought Satellite L755 - 1 M 0 a few weeks ago and put Windows 7 on it. I have problem when you look at youtube and listen to the radio online of the browser, while that download torrents with uTorrent.

    There is NO problem with slow internet, the connection is good, torrent download is slow, and others on the internet is functioning normally.     That s clear... all streaming video needs to cache first if the connection is overloaded, the flow would be loaded much more slowly and so you have a few interruptions while watching the youtube

    As you said above, everything works fine the torrent Torrent disabling is your problem
