    1. your iMac end 2013 supports the facilities of BIOS/MBR and GPT/EFI.

    2. the legacy BIOS/MBR method requires a hybrid MBR.

3 EFI/GPT is recommended for your specific model.

    4. you can use the GPT Fdisk steps in your link to make your drive a GPT disk only. It is not enough.

    5. you will need to convert the FAT32 partition space using the following OS X Terminal

    diskutil eraseVolume free disk0s4 FREE

This will return an error, because free space is not associated with disk slices.

    6. at this point, use the USB installer created by the wizard of BC, boot from it and hold down the Alt/Option key and select Boot EFI (not Windows). Point to the portion of the free space that you see after the + 620 MB Recovery HD. It will separate into a small (128 MB) MSR and the rest as MSD (NTFS).

    7. do not install W7 in Boot EFI, because it has some difficulties.

    8. when Windows is installed, and BC drivers are not installed, run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder.

    9. If csrutil is not found, you are in the recovery of the Internet, because your local Recovery HD is corrupted. The rescue of the failure of the local recovery is restoration of Internet. Your must be on El Capitan. There is no csrutil (or SIP) before El Capitan.

    Hello

I suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the computer to change the BIOS settings and check if it is has updated the BIOS.

Important: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Most laptops have two power circuits separated when on AC, one to charge the battery and the other to run on the system board. It seems rather that the second circuit has failed, if the laptop power PIN is multi pole so it could be the power supply but it is rare.

Check the label of the PSU manufacturers, if he makes mention of both voltages or two nominal currents, it is perhaps interesting to try a different PSU.

  • My xp upgrade window window error 7 "Windows cannot be installed to this disk pahrd space.

Original title: update my Windows xp to Windows 7.

Edit: Switched from Windows XP to Windows 7.

Hi, I'm installing ion window 7 my laptop which is a window XP, when I install on a partition, it says: Windows cannot be installed to this disk pahrd space. Windows must be installed on a partition formatted in NTFS. What does that mean?

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for the details.

The error message indicates that you need convert a Partition to the NTFS file system. Because Windows XP supports two disk file systems: the table of allocation of file (FAT) file system and the file system NTFS and Windows 7 supports NTFS only if you need to convert the partition to NTFS first to start the installation.

You can take the help of the article next to use Convert.exe to convert a Partition to the NTFS file system, and then try to upgrade or install Windows 7.

  • Error: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk.

I do a custom installation of Windows 7 64-bit and am boot from upgrade retail DVD. Motherboard is an Intel D975XBX . I have the latest version of the BIOS from Intel. I do not use the integrated RAID SATA Silicon Image controller and hear my SATA to emulate IDE mode in the BIOS. During the startup of Windows 7 DVD, it always tells me that he needs additional drivers, so I point to the latest drivers from Silicon Image Vista 64-bit Intel, and he proceeds to the next screen.

Then I get the screen that shows me the list of my disks and partitions that asks where I want to install Windows. On every single disc I click on, at the bottom of the dialog box, I see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark and the message "what Windows can not be installed on the disk ...". "When I click on the"View details"link next to it, I see a dialog box that says:"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Make sure that the drive controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu. "

I have four SATA drives, three that I use for several years with Windows XP. The fourth disc is a brand new Western Digital 750 GB that I bought just for Windows 7, so that I can dualboot. I can boot fine in XP, I see all four drives very well and I used the XP Disk Manager to format the new 750 GB drive.

To repeat: I get the "Windows cannot be installed to this disk" on all readers listed: a vacuum brand new, one that starts well in XP and the other two that I use to store data for the instance of my XP.

I searched on Microsoft Answers, as well as through the internet for a tip on how to solve this and found nothing.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you
    Bill

The only possible answer for you is to find Windows 7 compatible drivers for the Sata controller or get a new controller.

so, I format the OS partition but it always seems the same problem. ? What should I do, I can't delete or format the data partition because it just my backup data.

It is a problem with the way that you start from Installation

    Reboot and press F12
You should see 2 similar startup options on the installation disc you started with
Try both of them, one of them will work
This fixed it for me when I faced this problem

  • Satellite L755 - upgrade of Windows 8, sound problems

Recently, I upgraded my Satellite L755 (PSK2YE) of W7 Pro W8 and apart from the fact that all FN keys are passed from the screen (if all goes well they still work), the most notable problem is the noise.

When I opened a few apps suddenly the sound becomes too noisy, slow and is not sync with the picture. Then when I close the application, the problem insists, referring to the exodus when I open WMP I can't listen to my music correctly.

I contacted Microsoft and they told me that the problem is my card (Conexant HD SmartAudio) and to be more specific the driver. Then they told me to ask Toshiba for this problem...
I really need to find a solution!

PS: I've updated my driver sound card on the official website of Toshiba, but nothing has changed.

Do you have which driver installed? Driver for Win7 maybe?

Have you consulted the Win8 support page? Is your laptop (PSK2YE) supported or not?
