  As suggested above, you can try to restart the installation but I guess that you will not be able to install the graphics driver of ATI origin on the manufacturing site.

  Anyway, the ATI MOBILITY RADEON X 1600 is not a memory sheared graphics card and this is why this card does not use the part of the main memory. It supports a 256 MB own memory.

  I can't install sound pretty boring - ATI catalyst control center. To be honest, everything works fine without it, but in a few days, I'll get HDTV, so I thought why not install now to check the options in it.   Your machine will work fine with the Catalyst.

  You will not have access to some of the optional features\adjustments it provides however.

  There is a new version of catalyst to win 8 available at AMD\ATI that may or may not work, depending on the model of your graphics chip. If the model is 6 * or higher, it should work.

  I have not personally tried yet.

  My laptop is the dv7t-6 c 00 Quad and I just installed the version of Windows8 Pro (I am a member of MSDN Developer).

  Everything went fine EXCEPT the ATI Catalyst Control Center does NOT work.  I tried to reinstall the graphics driver (sp55098.exe), but it won't work because it does not "meet the minimum requirements" (which I assume means that it has not been updated to handle Windows8.

  The result is that my system has become unstable. I guess that's because the control center would deal with switching between low power and high power/performance chipsets.  I noticed that this change can occur on the fly and seems to have with a web browser (Internet Explorer).

  It's REALLY BAD, because it crashes my system.

  Please respond and tell me that there is a SOLUTION NOW!

  * Notes: I tried to launch Catalyst Control Center and get this message, "Catalyst Control Center cannot be started.  There are currently no parameters that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center".  AAARGH!

  It's the definitive answer to AMD.  HP must deliver the updated for my portable operarting under Windows8 Catalyst drivers.  I hope it will be soon.  In fact, I'd be happy to beta test.

  And the AMD Catalyst Control Center depends on .NET 3.5 installed first, otherwise it will not install.

  Launch Control Panel, select programs, click programs and features, and then click on "Turn Windows features on or off".

  Check the first box - .NET Framework 3.5 (included .NET 2.0 and 3.0)

  Make sure you are connected to the internet, because you may have to download files from Ms.

  Once this is done install your driver AMD should be fine

  So Im STILL, try to install windows 7, but honestly I am beginning to have some sort of fear. Its asking me to uninstall the ATI catalyst Manager and ATI catalyst control center. I was able to uninstall ATI catalyst not Manager control centering forest. I was wondering that if I have to reinstall them back and if so, how to do this. How to do this and is it drivers of mobility may be able to get the update? Please help me! and if not why isn't HP releasing new updates for these ati cards

  I understand that you want to update your AMD drivers.

  It seems that the t can be absent from g6-2014tx.  What is your laptop?  In General, the AMD driver can be placed on the provided HP driver.  It should work with switchable graphics systems and for systems that have no switchable graphics.

  An important note about updating the driver and graphic systems switchable.  If your laptop comes with switchable graphics, do NOT uninstall any HP video card driver.  This could lead to the switchable graphics system become corrupted, requiring a full recovery to solve the problem.  Drivers can be installed the driver from HP.

  A second note is to make sure that .NET Framework 4.0 is installed.  This can be checked in programs and features, or by installing it manually to be sure, it is installed.  If you need this, it can be found here.

  Instead of download the portable version of the driver, don't forget to download the desktop version of the driver.  The pilot will include desktop and mobile versions in a single package.  The latest version as of today can be found here.

  During the installation of the driver, be sure to choose custom install instead of car or express.  If you choose custom, you will be able to see a list of all the drivers and software that will be installed.  If display driver and Catalyst Control Center is listed, then you should be good to proceed with the installation.

  I have a Dell XPS 8300 with Windows 7. My computer has been infected by several Trojan horses, yesterday. Whenever I've scanned with different software, I'd find more Trojans. My computer works well then I hope it's clean now, but will continue to monitor.

  However, when I boot, I now have a dialog box stating:

  I went to my device manager and nothing seems abnormal. Why I get this alert, and what I can do to fix the problem?

  By mistake, I uninstalled something and kept getting the error message from host to ATI CCC.  I then installed AMD CCC, and now I can't install and Save Big Game Fish or other things, where - as before my error I might play with a small screen size.  I tried to expand margins, without success, to remove a former owner, had the warning that some 10 000 + item would be deleted which include functions of the window and can affect my computer!  It's annoying and frustrating, I think that I don't HAVE CONTROL OF MY COMPUTER BOUGHT AND PAID FOR, dread the thought and my action will be ending upward with it costs me more money to put right.  What is the cheapest and the best option?
