  I bought my used satellite s1800-364e ago days to install windows xp pro sp3 and downloaded all the drivers I could find here.   They have installed the drivers from Toshiba for some things, but not "Toshiba Power Saver'.
  I downloaded and extracted the exe 'Toshiba power saver' for the M30 and it will not be implemented.

  Then, I downloaded "Toshiba common modules" and "Toshiba Utilities" and have the same problem with those.

  In my opinion it s for a problem with your system and not with the Toshiba tools and utilities the fact is that the other might install.

  So the problem could be your SP3.
  It is only a hypothesis, but you should check this.
  Install only the operating system Win XP, SP2 and then try to install the drivers of Toshiba, tools and utilities in the right order!

  Check if the latter won't work.

  I have exactly the same problem with a Satellite M30 604! I have 2x1GB sticks and screen stays black. It works if I use one of the 1 GB sticks and one the old 256 KB stick but not the 2x1GB sticks as it should be (according to the specifications of my model manual).

  In addition, computer does not work with the single 1x1Gb stick, mandatory I have to combine a new (1 GB) with an old (256Kb), or just stay on the two old sticks...

  Satellite M30 can be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM, but you must use compatible RAM modules.
  As far as I know, you can use the modules of PC2700 and PC - 2100 DDR SODIMM 200 pin.

  I've upgraded to Windows 8 on an Asus U43Jc and I can't install Windows 8.1 on the store or iso (DXC1900101 - 0 x 20017 error), so I want to downgrade to 7. In addition, WIndows 8 crash with a Driver_Power_State_Failure. This is another reason why I want to downgrade. Whenever I try to downgrade, I get the blue screen of Windows 8 for a second then it resets. I even tried to use Hiren Boot CD to boot Windows 7 and still get the same results. This individual has Asus with Windows 7 not pre-installed so no boot UEFI or Secure Boot settings in the BIOS. Anyway, I don't want to be stuck on Windows 8 with it crashing every second. How can I downgrade to Windows 7?

  I think that service pack 2 pre-installed XP could be the reason for this problem.
  On the Toshiba page, you will find an updated Microsoft Windows XP SP2 information! Read the entire document.
  Seems that you must update some applications if you want to run the operating system correctly!

  The EHCI controller must be updated and many others! Check it!

  Please don t forget to install display drivers! To my knowledge, it also includes the chipset driver.

  Well, I think that's why it doesn't work, this support of the Satellite A350 doesn t XP. On the Toshiba, you can get only Vista 32 bit and Vista 64-bit drivers.

  For what model of laptop have you downloaded the tools?
  In your case, I would try the utilities for Satellite A300. It is similar to yours, and there you can get all of the XP utilities.

  In the worst case, you can use the special keys on XP. :(

  You do not find the common Modules because the common modules Hasna t been released for this series of laptop.
  Moreover, Toshiba driver page doesn't provide all the XP drivers for this series and this means that you will not be able to use all the keys FN under Win XP.

  I have an A210 with Win XP too and not all FN keys work.

  If you want you can try to install the common Modules released for other A210 series but I doubt that this application is compatible. In my case it didn't work.

  Please extract stuff all listed in the new folder created on the desktop. After doing this click with the right button on setup.exe and select OPEN. After this Toshiba common Modules, the installation program will start.

  Common modules driver is not installed and so you cannot install the Hotkey utility.

  The common Modules is a crucial driver to be installed at the beginning!

  Therefore, you should visit the European driver of Toshiba. Need to select your model laptop and download this common Modules.
  Install it and then repeat the installation of the Hotkey utility.

  I have a problem really strang after upgrade my C855 Satellite of Windows 8 to 10 of windows. After the upgrade, I can't boot my system of battery only. With the adapter, I had no poblem.

  I bought a new battery, but it still had the same problem. Cannot start system battery only.

  The following steps, I was

  • Got the latest Bios Update
  • Used a new battery
  • Do the powerless laptop (detach battery and adapter) and hold the power button for 15-20 seonds. After that return battery and adapter
  • Do seals in my power, parameters of balanced energy vice versa

  Is there anyone who has had the same problem or can advise me?

  You are not alone. I currently have a C50 Sat with exactly the same problem, with the exception of the upgrade. My problem started before I upgraded to 10. Like you, I can start with the battery and using taking current, but which is rubbish for a laptop.
  I didn't upgrade the bios but the laptop does not recognize when the battery is connected and the bios update tool continues to ask for it (VERY annoying ToshIba if you already read your forums).
  I was trawl through these forums looking for a solution, but there are 0 replies on the vast majority of positions. Not even ToshIba engineers seem to have a presence.

  In any case, did you ever solved the problem, and if so can you please share?
