  If you crash the system why you back up all important data and install the OS by using delivered Toshiba recovery CD facilities?
  After doing this you will own preinstalled OS and everything works well again.

  I know it's a solution more radical but maybe one that suits.

Is it possible to get the common Modules on the laptop without having to re - install from the beginning again?
