Satellite A200-211 - toshiba common module for Win7

Hello

If I understand the common module from toshiba and toshiba logical device added value are the same. and I tried to google the two of them to download for my Satellite A200-211, which works on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit, but I CAN'T find at all.

Do any help to get it? Thank you

Hello

> toshiba value-added peripheral logic and toshiba common module is the same

No, the common modules are designed only for Win XP and this software is used by other tools and software from Toshiba, so in many cases the common Modules must be installed in order to get other software treatments of Toshiba by using Win XP OS.

The VAP (value added package) is available for Windows 7 and Vista.
It controls the FN keys and multimedia, buttons and adds an extension of Toshiba to Win 7 power management.

If you are using Win 7, then you must install VAP.
Check the VAP Win 7 64 bit which is released for other series laptop Toshiba L500, A660, or new models of laptops

  • Satellite A300D - where can I find common modules for XP?

I got my 300 d satellite with no model no PSAK4E for Windows XP earlier. The only problem is that I can't install the energy saver. The message error «a fatal error has occutred, code 0 x 2» I discovered that this has something to do with the common modules, which I do not think that I have installed.

However, the problem is that I can't find the common Modules on drivers Toshiba's Web site. Is there another name for the common modules, or are they simply not there?

I want to reinstall Windows in order to install the common modules first. However, it is a little difficult without this having the installation package. I already tried to do some research on the subject but can't find the right information on my model. I found a few 3rd party software but I don't know if it's a good idea.

Could someone help me, or indicate where I can find the common modules for my model?

    Hi Keri,

When you have installed your own version of XP Pro, you must install the drivers and tools in good order or they do not work properly!

In Europe, every Toshiba laptop comes with a 'tools and utilities Toshiba', this CD contains a file html with the order of installation! When you also had a such CD please search such a html file!

I know that Toshiba common Modules is an important tool to be installed as one of the first, because it is a base for other tools!

    Then go to http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/ln_byModel.htm

and searc you suitabl drvers and tools!

    Hello Viorel

You can install the original Microsoft OS on your device. All Toshiba drivers you need, you can find the Toshiba site.
    Visit this link: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

I m not 100% sure, but I think that you don t need the common Modules of your module, as there is not on the Web site.
In addition if you want to buy an original recovery CD utility, contact the service partner.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L350 - 146 PSLD0E - common modul with XP does not work

My problem is exactly the same as Gigels, except my Toshiba is not model Canadian but TOSHIBA EUROPE GMBH.

    My Toshiba is
    L350-146
    PSLD0E-00V00TF3

The diver of common Modules does not work.
How it does not work is because when I try to install Toshiba controls it tells me that "TOSHIBA common Modules is not installed on your computer. I can go on, but it does not (obviously). I've tried versions 1.00.05, 1.00.08 (both of which are on the European driver from Toshiba site) and none of them work.
After you have installed one of them I get this message from PowerSaver: 'TOSHIBA common Modules does not run correctly. You can use TOSHIBA Power Saver. »

    * Please help me, it is obvious that a lot of people have same problem.*

    Hello

If so many people have the same problem, I wonder why your assignment is almost 5 days without any comment about it.

In any case, I put t know what is the problem but the fact is that all the drivers, tools and utilities must be installed in a specific order.

After installing Windows XP SP2 home edition, you must install stuff like this:
    WINDOWS XP HOME SP2
    Driver Chipset
    Display driver
    Audio driver
    Driver modem
    Flash media driver
    Common modules
    LAN driver
    Touchpad driver
    Enabling/disabling the touchpad utility

    And so on.

Common modules must be installed before you install any other Toshiba tool or utility. Common modules is something as a basis for all other tools and utilities.

Energy-saving install almost to the end.

  • Equium A60-157 PSA67E: where to find the Toshiba common module

Slowly work his problems but can someone tell me what is the "Toshiba common module" as one of the programs will not because he can't find it.

Also the Intervideo windvd v5.0b11.288 - srs has been modified to Toshiba systems and it's around anywhere?

    Thank you very much David

    Hello

I checked the Equium A60 driver download area and there is no common module for download.
In General, the common Module is a tool for Win XP that is required for the execution of other tools of Toshiba correctly.

I guess that common Modules are not necessary for this model of laptop.

With regard to the windvd: WinDVD can be downloaded from the Toshiba page, because it is not a tool of Toshiba and this tool has been a part of the recovery disk

  • Toshiba common modules does not work properly

Whenever I connect to the laptop, I get a message: Tfncky: Toshiba common modules does not work properly.

    Anyone know what this means?
I wonder if that has something to do with my windows media player does not properly. If I open the application, it is not to maximize the screen shows the taskbar
Finally, it simply says "not responding" and I have to close the application. Tried to remove and reload that a new copy of WMP but it does not help.

I don't know what laptop mode you but the first thing to do is to reinstall the Toshiba common modules.
Please visit Toshiba support and download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com go to the download section, choose your phone model and download common modules.

Please let us know if everything works well again.

  • Satellite A205-S7464: how to install for XP Pro SP2 Toshiba common Modules

    Hi all.

I have a new laptop computer that is preinstalled with Windows Vista Home Premium because they tend to.
Vista will not run a number of programs I need to run, I found, and I really don't like that much anyway...
I decided to install Windows XP.

I partitioned the HD and ran the installation program to a new partition on the disk with all the drivers that I have collected for sleepstreamed XP on my XP Professional Retail drive. There is no problem. I got everything up and going very well. My only problem now (well, except for some residual issues with the original partition to Vista), is I can't get utilities Toshiba owners going so that I can use for example the keys FN + commands, options power management, etc.

I've experimented with a couple of different versions of the Modules around common drivers and other utilities, but have some still been unable to get things moving in the direction I want to go.

Essentially, it's really control FN + F6 and F7 (brightness adjustment), as the monitor on this beast kills a battery.
I tried the support from Toshiba, but without success.
I know that the Vista to XP downgrade is a fairly common gesture, so if someone has been there and could give me some guidance step by step in getting things market I would be forever indebted.

The model is Toshiba Satellite A205-S7464, Réf. PSAF3U-07300V.
Let me know if any other information is needed.

    Thanks in advance, Jacob

There seems to be a series of laptops that have been delivered only in the USA and therefore all Toshiba drivers and utilities must be installed from the US site.

It is a Toshiba driver page we:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_sc_modSel.jsp

Where did you find this driver of common modules?

    > I've experimented with a couple of different versions of the Modules around common drivers and other utilities, but have some still been unable to get things moving in the direction I want to go.
I assume that you are not able to install these common modules because you used the wrong version that does not and is not compatible with your laptop.

  • Satellite A210 - cannot install common module and driver display

Just down to XP, downloaded drivers from toshiba and the installation was completed with an error not saying no driver found for my hardware. That's happened with the common Module and ATI Display Driver.

I mean, I need em both!

    Help!

    Hello

I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and it seems that XP drivers have not been to this A210 series!

I think that you just tired to install common Modules is not supported on this laptop.
That is one reason why you can not install it.

With regard to the display driver.
Try to install the drivers for the laptop models:
    PSAEJE satellite A210
    Equium A300D PSAK2E
    Equium L350D PSLE2E
    Satellite P200 PSPBLE
    Satellite L350D PSLE0E
    Satrellite L300D PSLC0E

In my opinion, one of the pilots freed from these series should run.

  • Satellite A200 - 10W PSAECE - BIOS need for Vista 64-bit

    Hello

I'm having problems trying to update my BIOS under Vista 64-bit of the system. The plashnt.sys driver generates an error when loading.
On the update of the BIOS page I can't find no 64-bit BIOS update for my laptop Satellite A200-10W (PSAECE). Also I've seen most of the computers portable ETA is updates of BIOS of 2009 and my update to the newest BIOS comes from 2007 (version 1.80 for Windows Vista)!

The reason why I'm trying to update my BIOS:
I have recently installed 4 GB of RAM on my laptop, the screen of the BIOS reports 4 GB but during POST, there are only 3! Vista reports also only 3 GB of physical memory total. I ran a series of landmarks and notes I got using 4 GB are well below the marks using only 2.
Memory modules have been tested on another laptop and none of these problems has occurred (another laptop of the manufacturer).

So I really need a sollution to update my BIOS and prefferably a BIOS update of 2009 available for download.

On the other hand, I was looking for specifications of my laptop on the Toshiba site and I couldn't find my model on the current models, or models discotinued page. In 2007, when I bought the laptop, it was listed as new on the current page of models, so I expect at least to see it in the abandoned list.

    Thank you for your time!

    > 1. Why there is no updated BIOS newer than that of 2007 and
There is no update of the most recent BIOS as Toshiba didn t release new updates.
Why? Who knows maybe a new update is not necessary.

    > . Why my laptop is not listed in the discontinuous model (Satellite a200 - 10w psaece)
Why should it be included as a discontinued model? The A200 series is not very old... so I n t think that this series could be abandoned
