  I think that after that the problem needs to be solved.

  Maybe someone else can explain, why they have this error or has another idea.

  There are some drivers 64 bit Vista published for these series, the sound chip seems to be Conexant and you will find the audio conexant driver as well.

  I think the problem is that you are looking for on the site of Toshiba wrong because on the site of Toshiba Asia, your model is listed and drivers available for download:

  Just search by Satellite M300. You won't find any Windows 7 drivers but drivers for Vista are available and usually most Vista drivers work also on Windows 7.

  But Windows 7 are not available at the moment. :(

  I think that they will be released after the official release of Windows 7. If you find a few weeks later and maybe the Satellite M300 will not support Windows 7. Who knows

  What you can do is to install the Vista drivers. Most of them are also work on Windows 7, so I think it's worth a try!

  Restore disc can't be used because the use of the disc, you can reinstall the whole OS only. It is not possible to use it for some drivers to install.

  I have a laptop Sat Pro U400 - 142 (PSU45E). My computer scientist he wiped Vista (against my will) and stuck on XP. He even gave me a XP Recovery disk! I have now removed XP and stuck on Vista. Unfortunately for Vista Business readers seem not to be on the Toshiba site (only XP). Anyone know where I can get readers or can provide.

• Satellite L355D - some drivers are missing for Win 64 bit

  I received this L355D in a trade for a unit of the computer.

  Supposedly, he had a virus on it and don't run so the previous owner wiped the drive and installed an operating system Linux on it before offering to me in a job and I didn't have the password for Linux and the owner previous couldn't be contacted, so I cleaned the disk and installed XP Professional 64 that I purchased and had installed on the Tower I exchanged (I kept the hard drive).   I downloaded the drivers from Toshiba which are provided for are the Vista 64 platform (I use XP 64-bit, as much, I hate Vista) some had to have a second attempt, but I managed to install almost all of them, and they work!

  This cured the wireless Altheros and it works well but is not the ethernet Altheros
  This cured the issue with Realtek ethernet and it works well and is now in use
  The Realtek multimedia works with all others.

  Also, I use MS Essentials for security (no particular reason) and if you decide to use, select Vista 64 as your operating system XP 64 is not supported and will not not install, but if you lie and say you're a Vista 64 will be, sometimes it don't dΘmarre so a simple 'restart' solves the problem.

  Windows XP 64-bit drivers were never published by Toshiba.
  The 32-bit Windows has been used in the past and the 64-bit Windows versions are popular since Vista and Win 7.

  However, the ACPI\TOS1901 seems to be Uitility password or the supervisor password utility.
  Maybe the 32-bit version would work.

  The VEN_1002 & DEV_4385 SM bus controller appears to be from a controller from ATI
