Satellite M305D - built in microphone and headphone problem

Hello everyone...

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite M305D - S4830. It came with Vista Home Premium x 64. However, I reformatted and installed Vista Ultimate x 64 (commercial version). After you have installed all the drivers on the official website of Toshiba, I discovered two major issues:

1. the headphones do not work. When I plug in, the laptop speakers are always on, play the sound/music. So to connect any type of headphones makes no difference. I should mention that the headphones were working with pre-installed Vista Home Toshiba Premium x 64.

2. the microphone does not work now. However, he has worked with pre-installed Vista Home Toshiba Premium x 64.

I have to mention again once I installed all the official drivers from Toshiba Web site form. In addition, in Windows Device Manager does not list any problem. Windows seems to believe that everything works correctly.

Any help would be really appreciated, because I really want to use Vista Ultimate.

Thank you...

This model of laptop doesn't know me. Is - this model of laptop US?
If this notebook has a Realtek Audio card and Realtek audio settings in the Panel try to check all the settings there.

If I remember well there must be some option under Audio i/o. check it out.

By the way: try to find the solution on the Toshiba U.S. forum under http://community.compuserve.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ws-laptop&redirCnt=1

Good luck!

    Hi @gmurph52 ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv7-6c95dx Notebook and questions with the WebCam. Thank you for all the information about what you have tried and what you see in Device Manager. Very useful.

I would like to start by uninstalling the devices listed in your device under imaging devices Manager. Reboot the laptop.

Do you see something new in there?  Here's a document on how to fix the WebCam as the computer sees connected and recognizes it.

Are not, you may have to check the connections. Here is a link to your manual page 30 parts and page 84 of deletion for the location on your laptop.

  • L830 satellite - built-in microphone and webcam not working

    Computer: Toshiba Satellite L830-10N
    Platform: Windows 7

    Hi guys,.
I have problems with my integraed microphone and webcam. All of a sudden out of nowhere, it wouldn't work. I tried to restore the system to go to a previous point where I worked, I installed several anti-virus programs to clean up the computer just in case of virus and still nothing.

The recorder has also been verified, but when I try to save, an error message appears and says "an audio recording device is not found."

I also tried to go to control panel > sound > recording, but a message says that cannot recognize anything.

Also, the system tells me that I have a problem with the WD SES pilot seriously, I don't know what it is but just in case it could be linked.

He worked before without any problems and I did not download or some kind of action is suspected, but now it will not work.

I checked the above in relation to the subject, but none of them does not work for me.

    Thank you very much.

Webcam is listed in (imaging devices) Device Manager?

If you are using Win7 64 bit try reinstalling the webcam driver.

  • Problem of helmet T400s: one female connector for microphone and headphones

    Hello

would need information about the headphone jack on the left side of the laptop. Whereas, in my old X60s have been two connectors for Microphone and stereo headphones (separately), now in the T400s remains only one connector, combining these two functions. As I like to keep my helmet: what type of connector / adapter should be used? Is the new jack mono or stereo?

    Who can help me?

    Kind regards

    Lutz

Hi the masts (and all others).

problem solved here: I bought a Belkin adapter in 'Y' photo here

Works very well with a mono headset (1 x MIC) and 1 x headset, both with stereo jack.

The microphone uses the top of the connector, the headset uses the second port. Perfect.

    Have fun

  • Satellite M305D: No sound through the headphones but the speakers don't work

    Hey,.

I have a M305D I reformatted and installed Vista Ultimate. I installed all necessary drivers.

However, when I plug the headphones in the headphone jack I have no sound in headphones and the loudspeakers continue to play.

I don't know if the socket has worked before I refomrated.

    So I can't tell if it's a pre-existing condition.

Assistance on the issue of the helmet would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Have you tested with another helmet?

Maybe the little switch that is part of the headphone jack works not properly and doesn t switch between speakers and headphones.
In this case the question would be related to hardware

I m not very well if this problem could be related to a malfunction of the software, but it would be really interesting to know if the problem persists after installing the OS from the recovery DVD.

  • Sony Vaio-how disable built in microphone and start built in camera

Problems with microphone and camera after Windows 7 upgrade.

Since the upgrade to Windows 7 on my Sony Vaio, I can't turn off microphone, or turn on my built in camera. Does anyone have an idea how I can solve these two issues?

    Hello

    1. have you installed the audio drivers after the upgrade to Windows 7?
    2. what happens when you try to use the webcam?

    Method 1.
If your computer is having problems with a recently installed device or other hardware, try to use the hardware and peripheral troubleshooting tool to solve the problem. It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.
Refer to the article below for the procedure:
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

    Method 2.
I also ask you to install the latest drivers for your laptop from the Sony site and check.
For more information see the links below:
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite L650-1EQ - black screen and overheating problems

    Hello

I have a problem with my laptop Satellite L650-1EQ.
A few days ago my laptop was overheated quite often.
I would like to start playing a video game and the computer could actually turn off after 10 minutes of playing it.

I realized that this was getting serious so I stopped using my computer to play games and I decided that I need to clean it. However, I was looking for online on how to clean up my computer and then my screen turns white!

I didn't know what happened and was very scared.
    I turned off the computer.

The next day I turned on the computer to see if it was good, and the screen was black however the laptop power light comes on and I hear the vents work.

I turned on the computer and tried to start it again, and the computer started fine.
The image appeared and the problems disappeared.
But I knew that something bad was about to come so I took the laptop computer repair technician.

    I told her what happened.
He has used the vacuum to "clean" the dust of the computer and told me to go back if the computer kept a overheating.

I restarted the computer again when I came home, and after an hour and a half the computer screen turns white but I don't think that it overheated. : s

I tried to start the computer and the screen is black, no picture, the only light on is the power one and I hear the vents work. I tried of transformed market but now it just stays as if it were now.

I tried on another computer for solutions such as the battery and pressing the power button for 2 minutes and other things, but nothing has worked. I don't know what to do so I decided to create a thread to get answers: s

    Please help me, thank you!

PS: I'm sorry for my English, I know that's not the best

    Hello

This does not sound very good boyfriend. I'm afraid that there could be some sort of dysfunction material Mr. something like the problems of graphics card or motherboard issue.

You can try plugging the external monitor to the laptop just to see if something would be visible on 2nd screen.
But if nothing will appear on the 2nd monitor, I think that the chip of the graphics card died :(

Of course, this is just my personal opinion and a laptop computer technician must check the laptop to know what part of the laptop could be faulty.

  • Satellite L350 - built in microphone does not work after upgrade Win8

    Hi people,

I have this problem since I went from Vista to windows 8. my sound card seems to work ok. My webcam works also. I made sure I chose the right microphone on the Panel etc. so theoretically there is no reason why it shouldn't work... but it is not working.

im guessing it has to do with my laptop being old enough, so no compatible drivers? I have a Satellite L350.

    What should I do?
    falone buy headphones?

    best!
    Al

I understand that you want to use newer OS on this old piece of hardware, but it can be problematic to use it if certain model of laptop is not fully compatible.

I think you're the first person who reported thereon. Unfortunately, I can't help you with this but if possible ask a friend if you can get outputs audio headphones and test mic ports.
It will be interesting to know if you will be able to use the headset.

    Please post comments.

Any advice would be greatly apreciated please and thank you

    Hi sativa66,

Try these steps and check if you get the headphones:

    1. open the control panel. (Classic view)

NOTE: open the start menu and click on the menu button of the control panel.

    2. click on the audio icon.

    3. click on the recording tab.

NOTE: this also works on the reading tab, but there are usually no hidden audio devices there.

    4. right click on an empty area and click Show disabled devices.

    5. you will now see the audio devices disabled with the arrow pointing down on them.

NOTE: these audio devices may vary depending on the installed audio card or chip you have.

    6. right-click on each listed off audio device that you want to activate and click Activate.

    7. Once you activate the device, you will see the headset.

NOTE: you can now change the property settings on these audio devices in the way you want.

    8. click OK to close the sound window.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite C850D-107 - Sound speakers and headphones

    Hi all.

    I recently bought a Satellite C850D-107.

My question has probably been asked several times already, but when I put my headphones in the headphone I still get sound on the main speakers not great when you do not want to broadcast the sound everyone is close, but when I hit upgrade Mute speakers get off but I can still hear me through my headphones.

    Why is this?

(it is not a problem, it's just a weird thing)

    Thank you

    Hello

If this thread may be useful for you?
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=256895

Go to the dashboard-> Realtek HD audio manager
In the upper right corner, there is a small yellow folder called "connector settings.
Here, you can re-enable the setting "enable popup dialog box, when the unit is plugged.

So now, when you plug an external speaker or headphones, it appears and you can select the option "helmet" (instead of "line-in"), and then the sound only through the headphones/ext.speaker.

  • Equium A300D - 13 X (PSAK2E) - microphone and headphone driver

For the first time, I reinstalled Vista Home Premium on my laptop. I installed most of the drivers from this site.

All that I Can can't FIND work there (same camera) except the sound, but I have a driver for my HDaudio. I don't know even what audio device I.
I mean Vista found ' default device hd audio "and I by speakers and built in mic works but I when I connect before microphone or headset are not and built-in speakers don't put on mute.
    What I've done wrong?
Can anyone point me to good drivers or how to operate the front Sockets?

    Hello

Equium A300D was equipped with the same audio chip Conexant CX20561 as another notebook series. That is to say Satellite A300D.
You need the Conexant audio driver. You can find it on other portable pilot areas

    Hope I could help you.

  • Satellite A500 - built in microphone no longer works

Hello everyone, Im new here, but I have nowhere to go.

I've never had a problem with my microphone before and in the last 2 days, it has stopped working. The only thing I've updated was my Windows, which is Windows 7 64 bit. The microphone is selected in the Audio tab on the Control Panel, but it won't just pick up sounds, just annoying static. I already downloaded the driver of sounds more up-to-date on the Toshiba site and I tried, but it did not help.

If someone did something wrong be thrilled, it is really affecting my studies.

    Thank you in advance,

    Jonathan.

    Hey Buddy,

You use the microphone with an external application like Skype or how do you use it?

The microphone is an internal webcam part, so if you have problems with the internal mic I recommend reinstalling the driver for the webcam that you can download on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

Remove the old webcam driver and restart the computer. Then try to install a more recent.

  • Satellite M300 - built in microphone does not work

    Hello world

I bought a new laptop of Toshiba Satellite M300 series and the buitin microphone works in it.
    Any help would be gr8

    Hello

Satellite M300 is unclear to me that I guess that it s not a European series of Toshiba.

You said that the microphone doesn t work, but are you sure that this laptop was equipped with the internal mic to 100%?

In many cases claim that a device internal doesn t work but in most cases such device (internal microphone for example) is not available.
