Satellite M50-226: dead Pixel-> is it possible to replace the screen
Hello!
My Satellite M50 226 gets more and more Pixelerrors. First of all, he didn't. All of a sudden 2 or 3 dead Pixels one moment there are 3 News (6 more) Pixelerrors.
I have a Toshiba paper that says I have a warranty of Pixelerror 3. Where should I send the computer? Who do I call?
AND: How long it takes?Kind regards
Steffen SchreyerWell, what to say the warranty could cover the replacement of the screen, but it depends on the amount of pixels and resolution.
Found several threads on the same topic. You will also find the official documents from Toshiba and statements on issues such as:

I put t know how long repairs might take, but you should contact the service provider in your country for details. They could provide useful information. You can find here the ASP:

Satellite C650-010 - built in microphone does not
built in microphone does not work after three weeks. I tried to install the new driver from Toshiba Web site software, but nothing helped. -Webcam with external microphone works well.
Yesterday, Mike worked for ten minutes, but then cut again.
Hey,.
> I tried to install the new driver from Toshiba Web site software
What driver software that you have installed?
The microphone belongs to internal webcam, so you need to reinstall the driver for the webcam if internal microphone doesn t work properly.> but then cut again.
Is that mean that the internal MIC is silent? Please check that the windows audio settings if the microphone is classified correctly recorders and set as default device. -
Satellite M50-226 with Bluetooth?
HY guys,.
I have a question...
I bought a M50-226, which had pre-installed XP Home... In the Device Manager there is a Toshiba Bluetooth something device called RFCOMM... I don't remember exactly.
Now, I have installed XP Pro... and follow the installation guide on the CD-ROM of the m50 tools. When I arrived at the installation of the BLuetooth stack... installation asked me to 'connect the bluetooth device' I clicked on ok... but nothing happened... Now, I have a BLuetooth on Toshiba entry in my Start Menu, which I do not know if it will work... Device Manager shows no mark or anything like that... but there is no bluetooth device more...This device installed on xp family due to toshiba was using a single disk image for all sorts of VErsions M50... or something go wrong on my XP Pro installation?

SaschaHello
According to the specifications of your laptop comes without BT module. Like Stefan said in his view please check if you can find the label of BT on the lower side.
Just FYI: the recovery images are the same for the M50 series. Some devices come with and some without BT modules. All units have the same settings factory and because of this, it is possible that you have seen the BT software components on your device, even if your device has no BT

Satellite M50-226: not possible to WXP Pro Installation!
HY,
just bought a M50-226, which works very well with the pre-installed XP Home. But I need professional... it won't install...
I start the pc from the CD starts to copy the files... and then after a while screen goes black with only the cursor flashing at the top left... Nothing happens then more... This can be corrected when you press F5 in the beginning of the installation of xp a choice "Standard PC" rather than "ACPI Uniprocessor PC"... but good... This is a laptop that really needs ACPI and the functions of power supply...Can someone help me install xp pro on the M50 226?

SaschaHello
I had the same problem. You need a cd XP with service pack 2 win. If you don't have it you can integrate (slipstream) SP2 into your existing and CD bearing the same serial number and averything. The procedure is to copy your CD on a HD, SP2 download from microsoft.com, get a software with which you can extract the boot image, running orders and burn the result to a blank CD. There are some easy to follow HOWTOs on the web, but you need a windows XP PC work to do.
I hope this helps.

Satellite A350-20s - built-in microphone has stopped working
Hello
I was wondering if someone could help me? My mic has suddenly stopped working. I was away for two weeks and when I tried to use the microphone it no longer works. It was working perfectly before.
When I go into Control Panel and watch settings for the microphone, he said his assets. I also installed the volume on the microphone and checked if everything is muted. But as far as I could see everything fine.
If I test the microphone the sound bar still gray and the microphone is not any sound recording. I tried a few of the instructions I found online, but nothing helped.
I mainly use the microphone on web with Skype calls. It is a very frustrating problem. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.
Hello
The built-in microphone is the webcam and is a part of it. Which means it would be recommended to reinstall the driver for the webcam. You can download the driver for the webcam on Toshiba website for your laptop.
Can send you additional information about your operating system? You use the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba or did you do your own installation of Windows?

Satellite A300-1NO - built in microphone has its Sun
Hello everyone.
I noticed that my microphone is very low volume. When I voice chat, people barely hear what I speak. I got the Realtek HD Audio Manager, downloaded the audio driver on the Toshiba site. All set to 100%, amp microphone is only 20 dB 30 dB is too noisy. I checked also Assistant of webcam. I don't know what to do.
When I use the external microphone, it's OK. But the microphone is calm and flat, dim.
Hello!
I m not a Satellite A300 owner but it seems that you only need to update the audio driver. Here is the Toshiba document I founded on the site of Toshiba about this:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB8A02FH0000R01.htmThe driver can be downloaded here:

Satellite L755-1NM - built-in microphone out fading
He's tried to call Skype, only to discover that the other person was not at all hear me. Checked the settings of the microphone in Skype and the parameters of the device, and the microphone is about not working not properly.
What happens is that whenever I start anything that can use the microphone (so, when I call, or when I check the settings of the microphone), it works for a short time, but, in a few seconds, just flatlines.
As a way to illustrate, I recorded my voice making a constant sound on [vocaroo | http://vocaroo.com/i/s01hJV8kLaMP]. What you hear is my micro detect noise and fading then out, ends up losing any sound detection.
I think this could be a hardware problem, because I did not bring any changes to the software that may have affected the microphone. In fact, just some time after I found this question there, I reinstalled the drivers and it has not corrected. In this case, I guess the only option is to send my laptop in for fixing (which I would rather).
In addition, he was still perfectly working about 2 or 3 days ago.
Anyone have any ideas?
I assume you mean on the internal mic, which is part of the webcam.
Have you tried an external microphone?
The same problem appear using this external microphone?I think it would be useful to know that, because in this case, we would know if its hardware or software (setting) related question.
You can also check some settings of microphone that is located in:
Panel of-> sound-> recording tab-> mic (right click, properties)In a new window (mic properties), you can find tabs more as levels, improvements, advanced
In the levels tab, you can change the Microphone Amplifier.
On the upgrades tab, you can disable all effects as well, you can activate the acoustic echo cancellation and noise suppressionI recommend you test check and try different options.

Satellite M50-266 - strange scratches on the screen
Hey,.
After 4 weeks of inactivity, I turned on my Satellite M50 - 226 (bought in May 2006) and saw some strange scratches on the screen. I have a built-in ATI Radeon X 600. Already I have updated all drivers, while ATI Catalyst does not recognize the graphics card. So I tried the Omega drivers alternative, which does not help somehow.
Please see a screenshot here: http://designest.de/exchange/m50-226.png
I thought, it is clear that the graphics card is broken.
What do you think, is there an (easy) way to fix?
Thanks for the tips,
Mike
This problem is the reason why you use the Toshiba drivers no.
ATI drivers are not designed for the use of the laptop. Then uninstall all drivers Toshiba no and download the latest directly from Toshiba:

Satellite Pro P300 - impossible to activate the built-in microphone
I bought a Satellite Pro P300 some 2 months and so far so good.
It has a webcam which I really thought that I would have any use for it but now find that I have.
The camera works fine but I cannot activate the built-in microphone.
Can someone point me in the right direction please
Hello
You will need to start the webcam software if you want to use the internal microphone too.
The point is that the internal MIC is connected with the internal webcam and webcam software handles both devices.
Also check if the internal mic has been correctly enabled in the webcamsoftwareIn addition, I would recommend updating the audio driver.
Best regards
