  • Satellite P100 - 444 PSPADE: where to find XP drivers

    Hello

I just got my laptop new P100 - 444 (PSPADE). I removed Vista and installed XP SP2. First of all models of PSPADE is not found in the driver download selection. I used drivers for another series of P100 model. Most of equipment is detected, but not all. modem driver and the sound does not work, I tried of the former pilots, new drivers for other models but without success.

In name of the Vista driver for the sound card is named: Conexant High Definition Audio, the modem is also conexant. After an intens research I found nothning. Toshiba does not seem worth free XP drivers so far, but there must be a work around.

Any person having simular problems or who has solved this problem.

    Please contact me.

    Hello Peter

Believe me you are not alone with this. Check please other subjects in the area of the Satellite. I will just repeat that right now probably Toshiba has enough work to create the latest drivers for the Vista capable notebook for complete support of Vista. Update takes precedence and not downgrade.

No one knows when the dryers for WXP will be available, but I'm sure that it won't happen soon.

I guess you have an its installed realtek card. If so, then go to www.realtek.com.tw, download the latest driver for Realtek HD audio and install the driver after removing the sounddrivers of Toshiba.

After that, you should also have a control panel that is accessible trough the "Control Panel".
Here, you can set all the settings on your sound card.

    Hi Salomon82,

I created a similar thread about audio drivers for Windows 7 on Satellite P100:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=191495𮰇

It seems that the Vista driver works also on Windows 7! :)

In addition it s not necessary to update the BIOS for the installation of sound card drivers because first of all, you should try the correct driver.

    Hi Sebastian,.

I think it might be a little difficult to get drivers Windows 7 for old Satellite P100... I checked the Web from Toshiba site and it looks new Satellite P500 also uses a card his Conexant. In your case, I would try this driver, it seems to be a newer version.

  • Satellite P100 - reduced Audio level Possible

    I have a TOSHIBA Satellite P100 PSPAAE-01D00UEN
System serial number: 17172416W, and until recently had no problem with my sound levels.

About a week ago, without known alterations to my system, no new facilities application and any updated drivers, I realized that the sound associated with the standard Windows sounds (open the program, close the program etc.) was significantly greater than that experienced when I connect and use the mechanism for the programs of BBC.

Previously, I was able to run all programs from the BBC about 75% level, or even lower, for comfortable listening, but I am now obliged to listen to 100% and have difficulty hearing.
THW Windows sounds are almost ear bursting in comparison.

I know I'm from the previous generation, but I don't think that lack of hearing is the issue here.

    Can someone help please?

    Thank you

    Hello

In the taskbar (right), you should see a small speaker icon.
Right click on the "speaker" icon and choose Open Volume Mixer.
Here, you should see different for speakers volume controls and system sounds.
In my case, I set the volume control of the sound system to 10%, but the speaker volume control is set to the next level.

  • Satellite P100: Conexant audio only is not supported on Windows Vista 64-bit

Last week, I install new Windows Vista 64-bit system, but not sound. I think it was the problem with the audio driver 64-bit. Is that someone has the new driver for vista 64-bit?

It seems that some devices are not recognized by Vista common drivers that were shipped with the Vista operating system and therefore the new drivers are needed. But because Vista is not official on the market (official start is late January 2007) drivers are not published.

But where did you get the version of Vista 64-bit?

    It is showing drivers cdrom.sys.

How can I find new drivers for UJ-850 s?

    Hello

First of all: you can not download the driver for the CD/DVD drive. The Windows operating system uses the own driver and it s not necessary to install a special driver for ODD.
Therefore, the link provided by the user above won't HELP YOU NOT.

Second: I studied in this forum a bit because many afterwards with the same problems, where already posted:
    Check this example:

You will find a link to the MS site that provides a nice solution.

  • Satellite P100 - 347 (PSPA6) and Conexant audio problem in Windows 7 64 bit

He is a [old problem | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=175972#175972] which seems to have affected many people.

    Conexant HD Audio (hardware id: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_14F1 & DEV_5047 & SUBSYS_1179FF31 & REV_1000)

There has been no official driver published this work in Windows 7 64 bit. It works fine in 32-bit, windows 7, and using different drivers from other sources + partial + fix can be found.

    Using these drivers:

    [Audio 4.8.0.0 | http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/files_downloads/pspa1c/vista/Audio4.8.0.0.zip]
    [sp35683 | ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp35501-36000/sp35683.exe]

and some of the advice [here | http://laptopforums.toshiba.com/t5/Windows-7/Windows-7-64-bit-drivers-for-P100-P105-Users/m-p/67516], it is possible to get the proper functioning, but * only * when using the S/PDIF (HD) audio output. When the S/PDIF cable is removed the internal speakers make noise for a fraction of a second, then silence.

I tried everything and this issue has been around for months and months, but no perfect solution seems to exist. I was wondering if there is a way to update the drivers of the HD Audio Controller, integrated in Windows 7. Or maybe a hack that allows the internal speakers continue to work (they work for one second!)

Please, any help on this would be greatly appreciated

  • Satellite P100 - problem with audio driver on Windows 7 RC

    Hi all

I have an Australian original Satellite P100 P/N PSPA6A-02N021 (T7200 2 GHz, 2 GB DDR-667, nVidia 7900GTX, 1680 x 1050 display) on which I just installed the latest Windows 7 RC (Build 7100 uploaded on 6 May). After doing a clean install on a new brand Western Digital 500 GB drive, I've had trouble with no output its (error code 10) default driver Microsoft HD audo.

Because it is a new installation on a disk HARD costs there is no internet connection to research the latest updates during installation. After completing the installation, the search for an updated driver or windows update cannot locate a better driver.

I updated the BIOS to Phoenix Technologies V4.70 (drawn from the Australian Toshiba site).

I checked the audio driver which worked perfectly under Vista Business 32 running on this same laptop, and it was Conexant HD audio driver v3.18.051 (dated 04/12/2006). I got this driver on the net and installed under Win7 RC. This driver installed and working, but now I only sound from the left speaker which is very (too) low level.

What I want to know is, someone at - it else experienced this and how did you solve this problem, or that you have the same or similar Toshiba laptop and the sound works OK or is there another way to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

I m asking you want to use an OS that isn't out yet and it s only a Release Candidate...

Have you checked the sound settings on your laptop? Maybe the balance is only on the left speaker.

To be honest, I think you should wait until Windows 7 will be available and you will find more recent drivers for it, they are compatible with Windows 7.

    Good bye

    Hello

If you have time please check that Miro wrote on this thread http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=18877

  • Audio dropouts on Satellite P100

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite P100 PSPADE.
    OS: Win XP Professional
Connected equipment: MOTU 828MKII Firewire or Terratec DMX 6Fire USB.
In both situations, audio dropouts occur, using Cubase SX3.
I already disabled some elements in the Manager of hardware devices, such as:
    -Microsoft AC adapter
-Control compliant ACPI Microsoft method battery
    -Network adapters
    -Bluetooth device
    -Sound controller
    - ...
Only the devices battery generated many audio dropouts, which are now reduced by disabeling the drivers.
    Nevertheless, sporadic abandonment occur always.
Although, Terratec, and MOTU audio devices using the maximum buffersize, increasing latency, but reducing the school drop-outs, audio drop outs occur.
Reading a few articles, I came to the feature 'gas CPU"of the Toshiba laptops, which might be responsible for these audio dropouts.
The articles mention that he is a non-configurable feature of Toshiba.
Audio dropouts seem to occure synchronous with the activation of the fan.
To contol the latency, I use "DPC latency Check" program, which generates a bar graph.
The peaks of bar-graph each time that the fan turns on and at the same time, a stall audio is heard.
Is there a solution to the problem of audio dropout?

    Erik

    Hello

There were MANY discussions on this subject, especially with your machine. Many users tried different solutions such as remove things from the device manager like you did already.

In General, editing music with a laptop are not really optimal. For example:

I have a computer of office machine with a Pentium 4 2.8/1 GB RAM/WD Raptor/ESI Juli @ and I also work with Cubase SX3. There is NO problem with the latency (latency DPC latencies around 15-30 microsec Watch).

I tried to make some changes on my Tecra A9 which has a Dual-Core, 2 GB of RAM, a HARD drive with 7200 RPM with XP on it, etc... and at the beginning I had many heavy withdrawals.

But after a search of this forum and a few other sites, Ive created a small tutorial:

    1. services:

For Windows XP: Please visit the following site: http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/winxp.htm
and apply the configuration of services twisted.

For Vista: Go to this site-> http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/Services/ and see the following:
-Configurations of Viper black Windows Vista SP1 Service-> twisted
    -Super Tweaks

-In addition the client must disbale the service "smart card"!

    2 disable the following devices:

-Compatible control method battery ACPI Microsoft
-Intel ICH8M Ultra ATA Storage Controllers (including the optical disc drive)
    -Ethernet and Wifi
    -Storage-> Microsoft iSCSI initiator controllers
    SD card controller

    3 disable the powermanagement features:

-In 'Device Manager' option to allow the computer to turn off this
all "USB root hubs" should be unchecked
-Create a separate powerplan who can be named 'Maximum' and put EVERYTHING
maximum (disable these features like 'sleep' and 'sleep')

    4. run the application 'msconfig' (internal tool of windows) and remove all the
unneded services and applications in the startup list, which could include
some tools Toshiba as "configfree" "flashcards" etc., but at YOUR OWN RISK!

    5. as you have more network connections, you can also disable all
services such as "Windows Defender", "Windows Firewall", "security policies."
etc. which contains a large number of resources!

    6. I recommend to keep all the drivers including BIOS update. You can use
drivers of Intel on the chipset/storage controller/graphic chipset
which most are more recent so our pilots.

    -> Below only for Vista!
    7. at least, you must disable this thing together graphic Vista as
«Aero, "Windows Sidebar", etc., and switch to the Vista Basic theme.» The window
Manager themes Vista is necessary and a LOT of resources that offers more
resources for applications and results also in a latency time reduced.

    8. check the Web site of the manufacturers on the updates support for the device that is in use! (which means the sound card ;))

    It could be that useful...

    Welcome them

On the market-enduser TFTs are popular, but it is not possible to use the digital interface with the portable toshiba. We are not interested in the purchase of laptops from other manufacturers, but our time flee.

Can you give us a tip, then of the next generation Satellites with digital output to connect TFTs will reach the market?

    Hello

Sorry, but I disagree with you.
Toshiba designs laptops that support the digital port (D-video output port)

  • Driver Conexant HD Audio - Satellite P100 PSPA3C Win XP problem

    I have a Satellite P100 PSPA3C MA202C.

I found on the Web from Toshiba site a new Conexant HD Audio 3.44.0.0 driver version for my laptop (Windows XP, 3 GB of RAM)
and had the bad idea to install it. After installation, the sound is terrible Crackle and interruptions.
including the sound of Windows boot at startup, when you first open during playback and audio files.
When a UC program gets started.
    It's never happened before.

I acknowledge that during installation, I received a message from the system
warning that this driver is not signed as having managed the "Windows logo test '.

However, the same situation stands for previous versions of site Web from Toshiba, like 3.21.0.52, who gave the same problems.
Then I wanted to let Windows choose the right driver, but it turns
"Microsoft function driver UAA for HD Audio Conexant Waikiki" which provides its own, but has no audio in (microphone).

So now I'm stuck with the crackling and interruptions of Conexant, or with Waikiki have no microphone.

It's strange, because the initial configuration worked well. Unfortunately, I do not know how to restore the original configuration,
It is not written anywhere, that the system cannot understand itself and of the restoration came with the computer dvd
only allow for a radical total restoration of the status of the day of sale, which is not acceptable.

    What a disappointing experience!

    Can someone help, please?

    Hello!

S DVD supplied with the computer are called recovery disks and it's the way to return to the factory settings.
The disc contains the Windows preinstalled with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.

I know it's strange, but in my opinion, there is no other way to solve this problem. So back up your data first HARD drive will be completely formatted.

    Good bye
