Satellite P100-488 - what memory modules that I can use

Hello

I want to upgrade my memory from 1 GB to 2 GB, but I can't find the correct specifications for the 1 GB memory current installed on my laptop.

Indeed, I could only confirm that the frequency is 533 Mhz, but my question is: what type of memory should I use? PC2-4200 or PC2-4300?
I am unable to find the information of the current type used on this laptop.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

This site of memory should help you:
http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=29973&ft=m&St=3

According to this website of the Satellite P100-488 supports DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) memory modules and you can upgrade it to 4 GB max.

I hope I could help!

Greetings

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
    I have a Satellite Pro M40 part number: PSM46E-00H002EN

I really want to upgrade the memory, but I don't know what to do.
I know I want two 1 GB ones but I do not know what kind.

I looked and there seems to be so much of.

Could someone tell me exactly what I want or give me a link to buy.
    I would be grateful rerally.

  • Satellite 2800-200 - what external enclosure that I can use for HARD drive

My daughter has a laptop of Toshiba S2800-200 eldely.
It is broken where the mains cable between the machine and she has been quoted £100 for repair!
She has already bought a new computer repair is not an option.

Toshiba, however, contains some files (photos, music etc, mainly) that she would like to keep, but get the files of the computer laptop and on its new machine is a problem.

My thought is to buy a cheap USB basket somewhere like eBay, remove the hard drive and use the caddy to download photos. etc on his new computer via the USB port.

To buy the correct caddy I need to know the full spec (diameter, capacity, etc.) of the Toshiba hard drive and I don't have a clue!

Can someone here point me to the spec of the drive on a Toshiba S2800-200 please?

I guess the Satellite 2800 series is supported by the IDE HDD controller and HARD drive would be also a 2.5 IDE HDD.
That's why you should look for a USB IDE HDD box

  • Satellite A30 - 151 - what memory module can use?

    Hello

I have TOSHIBA Satellite A30-151 with 768 MB of DDR1 memory.
I want to upgrade. What is the best memory that I can buy?

    the card says:
    Max 2 048 MB.

So, how many slots I? I can buy 2 x 1 Go DDR1-333 memory? Can it be more than 333 then?

    Thank you
    NIR.

    Hello

    It is really an oldie
As far as I know that you can upgrade the RAM up to 2 GB of RAM
The bus (FSB) front-end speed seems to support 533 Mhz and that's why you should be able to use the 533 Mhz RAM modules.

PS: The laptop must support 2 slots of memory if you are able to put 2 x 1 GB RAM

  • Satellite P100-488 - what car for my laptop adapter?

    Hello

I am writing this thread I wish for an item on Ebay, namely the car adapter PX1189E-1NPO manufactured by Toshiba.

The problem is my laptop 15V DC entry and the seller, I contacted eBay told me that the PX1189E-1NPO (output of 19V mentioning on the site of Toshiba Switzerland) would be compatible with no problems.

After a search, I noticed that there is also the PX1188E-1NPO manufactured by Toshiba 15V output.

I can trust that the seller told me, namely as the Web from Toshiba site that reads for the adapter PX1189E-1NPO car on this link: 4703 http://ch.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/individualOptions.do?LNG=7&service=CH&selCategory= & oldCategory = 4703 & OPTION_ID = 98981?

Moreover, I am a little troubled because none of the links to the PX1188E-1NPO or PX1189E-1NPO mentions my laptop model (P100-488).

What do you think of this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As far as I know that you need a 15V car adapter
As you say in your message above the car on eBay adapter supports 19V.

In your case I would contact the authorised Toshiba partner in your country and would order the adapter car from these guys.
The ASP can provide 100% compatible parts and in this case, you would be sure that parties are supported at 100% and damage the laptop!

    Welcome them

  • What add-on that I can use to create multiple messages (wholesale several messages)?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to send more big several messages, as between 100-200 addresses. Are there additional coupons that I could use?

You can send several people the same email using lists in Thunderbird. It's in a standard Thunderbird.

You can use a "Mail merge" addon to send more emails customized to contacts to a .csv or address book file.

The amount of 100, 200 etc has nothing to do with Thunderbird and everything to do with allowing your ISP or server.
They all impose limits to varying degrees.

    Hello

It s is HARD disk controller.
You can use the 2.5 IDE HARD drive.

But if the IDE controller supports only 28 bit LBA then you could use max 120 GB HDD s.
If the IDE controller supports 48-bit LBA, you can then use more big s HDD.

48-bit LBA is supported because ATA-6 sets (also known as Ultra DMA/100, Ultra DMA mode 5 or Ultra-ATA100) IDE controller

Hi, I bought my computer toshiba laptop 6 months ago. Very fast tempereture increases

The problem is I know my serienumber but I don't know what modellnumber is for my laptop. I would like to ask what type of bios should I download on the download page of the bios:

    http://de.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_bios.jsp?service=de

    Serial number: Y6215240K
    Model number: PSAB0E-00H007GR

If I had updated the bios, it would really help?

    Hello

    It s simply.
According to the message, you have a SATELLITE A110-198, which belongs to the series of PSAB0E!

Go to the driver page, then select the BIOS for the Satellite A100 PSAB0E.

But beware, the BIOS update is risky! Be sure to use the good BIOS and the correct procedure for updating the BIOS. As I remember we'll find all the details under more information.

A few words about the overheating problem.
I don't know if the BIOS update will help to prevent overheating of the laptop, but you can try the update of m.
Generally, the laptop could overheat due to the malfunction of cooling module.
Fans may not turn with maximum performance and cannot cool the CPU properly or the air circulation is bad because you use Notepad in the wrong position or on the wrong place!

  • Satellite A100-294: what memory should I buy

I have (only) 512 MB of RAM and I need to upgrade. Should what memory I buy? What models, which could be found on the market, I could choose? And do I have to have the same memory, for example. 512 + 512 MB or 1 GB + 1 GB (or even the same producer?) for best performance, working properly, or something? [Please help me, I need to upgrade as soon as POSSIBLE and I could not afford any possible error:]

    The laptop is Satellite A100-294

    Hello

I hope that I will receive some reward you points because I think I can provide useful answers ;)
The laptop seems to be the DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM fragmented into several modules.
You can use these modules from different manufacturers, but in my opinion it s better to buy a module of brand instead of module without name due to the better performance

This site provides a few compatible Kingston modules for Satellite A100-294
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=24854&ft=m&St=3

You can also mix the modules; I mean, you could use 512 + 1024 or 1024 + 1024 or 512 + 512. All these options are possible

  • How to install Windows XP Home on Satellite P100-488?

    Hello

I have a computer a Toshiba Satellite P100-488 and on windows vista, but I would go to windows XP.

    What should I DO, please?

    Hello

Installation of Windows XP Home edition on this model of laptop doesn't have to be so complicated.

At the first visit Toshiba under you and http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp download page you can find all the drivers, tools and utilities for Windows XP Home edition. Under product type, choose ARCHIVE. Your Satellite P100 is model PSPADE, so choose the right model.
As the first file listed by download is installation instructions document. After installing WXP install all the drivers, tools and utilities following this order of installation. It is very important.

  • Satellite Pro 6000: What WLAn Module?

    Hello
Anyone know which Module WLAn can be used in a Satellite Pro 6000.
My NB is pre-installed for WLan but I don't want to use only 11MBit Module and the other are not signed for the SP6000.
Can I use this module to 54 megabits?

    Hello

As far as I know this unit supports only the 802. 11b Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card.
This Mini PCI card, I got with a flow of data 11Mbit.
In this case, I think that you can use a Mini PCI card with 11Mbit.
But nevertheless you ca also use a PCMCIA wireless card. This card is also available with 54 Mbps data rate.

  • Is there an API that returns the model number or any other identifier for a module installed, I can use to identify the characteristics of this module?

    For example, I'll call you

    DaqSystem.Local.GetPhysicalChannels (PhysicalChannelTypes.AI, PhysicalChannelAccess.External)

For a list of connected devices.  The data in the table back looks like this:

    cDAQ1Mod4/ai0 (etc.)

It tells me that I have a CompactDAQ chassis, which is good, and an analog module in the slot Module4.  What I need to know is not just that there is an analog module in the slot to #4, but also of its ability (voltage, temperature, voltage, etc.) so that I can use the correct DAQmx task for this type of module.  All this has to be discovered during execution.

Otherwise, I'll have to provide a configuration utility when the user program needs to determine which module is plugged that slot - and will it change by moving it to another location, you must enter these details again.  I want to avoid this by making the material more discoverable as possible.

I can remember an API - and that is my hope.

    * beep *.

    Hello

I could understand the syntax for you. It's here.

    Device blah = DaqSystem.Local.LoadDevice ("cDAQ1");
foreach (String dev in bla. ChassisModuleDeviceNames)
    {
    Label1. Text += "\n" + DaqSystem.Local.LoadDevice (dev). ProductType;
    }

This displays the model number of all modules of the cDAQ in the chassi. I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

I get up to a cable of length more camera more and then peripheral is not is not recognized. I Yawcam program on my computer which is optimal

According to the official FAQ USB. page here:

    http://www.usb.org/developers/usbfaq#cab1 ,

5 m is the maximum length of a USB cable. A lot of points 3 and 4 on the above page dealing with how to deal with scenarios beyond this length.

Personally, I have only ever went up to 4.8 m and it was with an external hard drive (which had its own separate power supply).
