  I have an A500 on 12 months old that will not start.

  I think that it s something wrong with the motherboard or a part of the motherboard.
  The point is this laptop should turns on even if the battery is empty and the power adapter is plugged so maybe it s something wrong with the memory supply or electronic power on the motherboard.

  I recommend you check the parts of memory first. Remove a module and try to start the device using that one module.

  Of course this can not help you too... so in this case, it could be a severe motherboard issue...

  The test fails (SFC) checks for corruption in the files on your system.  If she can't even complete, she suggests the Vista all system needs to be re-installed - but you have already done this and you still have the problem.

  Hi guys, I just replaced my cpu fan because the former was noisy and only working at half speed, I also had a couple of farm of downs due to overheating.   It turns out that Lightroom is not guilty.  The hard drive containing the catalog was not, and although tests seem to show like OK it was made only reading / writing at a fraction of the correct speed. If Lightroom was very time consuming to read it's own catalog.  It tooks 48 hours to exemplary concert 1 of data off the drive.

  I work on computers for years on the side and have done my fair share of upgrades of RAM. I went to my boss to Jeanne to update its ram, it has a Vista computer ~ 4 years with 512 MB of RAM, (a stick). I upgraded to 2 GB. There are 2 white and 2 black slots. The 512 was the white slot. I have it pulled and replaced with 2 GB then put the 512 in the dark. It starts and went to the vista loading bar, then the screen went black. Waited a while and put the 512 where he was and then added 2 GB sequentially. Same result. Then I tried the double approach channel. I also tried just the new RAM. Same result. I EVEN tried to put just the an old back in its slot and it STILL would not initialize correctly.

  Here's the interesting thing. Safe mode and safe mode with networking mode both start instantly. No problems. Properties system shows 2 gb, rebooted and went into the CMOS and recognizes all the correct RAM in the correct locations.
