Works to batteries with lager capacity exsist?

Hi mate,

You can check yourself on the Toshiba site, where you can search for compatible accessories. Here you can find:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > Services devices & -online Options & accessories from PC-online PC Options & Accessories Home Page

For example the PA3537U-1BRS battery is a 9cell battery compatible with Satellite P300. You can order from an authorized service provider. :)

    Hello

Because your old battery is always recognized, I think you bought the battery is not compatible.

That's why you should buy a compatible battery recommended by Toshiba.
I think you can buy this Toshiba ASP.

  • Satellite P300 - 25 c battery + cable entry problem

    Hi guys,.

I bought this little beast in October 2009 and I have only two small problems.

    a first:

My battery dies after about 45 minutes, without power.
This probably means I need a new battery but is it realistic after two years of service?

a second: where I put my cable for power, it usually does not connect.
The small pine of gold inside looks like it is loose (I can move freely until the down side to the other while that plugged into the laptop and cable)

Contact the Dutch helpdesk of Toshiba or is there a better solution for this issue?

    Thank you very much

    Tommie

    > My battery dies after about 45 minutes, without power.
    > It probably means I need a battery new but is - it realistic after two years of service?

Yes it's realistic. The battery is a one-time item and after some time of use, the performance of the battery begins to decrease.

    > second: where I put my cable for power, it usually does not connect. The small pine of gold inside looks like it is loose (I can move freely until the down side to the other while that plugged into the laptop and cable)

Laptop DC port may be defective. So a laptop technician should check this out.

  • Re: Satellite P300 - replacement HARD drive with no recovery discs

    Hi all

I came to the conclusion that my HARD drive has failed. (PXE-E61error) now seeks to replace.

Unfortunately I didn't create a recovery CD, and even if I did, my windows (label) key is unreadable.

He comes, if I replace the HARD drive, to buy a new copy of windows, can I simply start from the CD, install windows on the new HARD disk, and then install the drivers from the Web from Toshiba site or what I need to buy recovery CD?

    Model - PSPCCA-05Y01Y

I had to spend an hour or so scouring Google and the forum, but to no avail.

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Yes, you can do it. Install the version of Windows. All the drivers, tools and utilities that you can download from the Toshiba support page - http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/download

This machine has been delivered with Vista, but I recommend you to install Win7. It works perfectly and very stable on this machine.

  • Satellite P300 - 1 5 problem with my DVD player

When I put a DVD (game or film) in my DVD player, the computer tells me that the DVD is blank. He suggested me to burn the data above.

Could you tell me where that comes from and how to solve my problem?

    Thanks in advance

If you use original music CD or DVD movies something like that shouldn't happen.
What media do you use? Original or some self burned stuff?

  • Satellite P300-150: slow processor during the test with the id tool intel

    Hello

I just bought a Satellite P300-150 and it was working well in general... play lotro with few problems, but not in dx10 cos it chuggs as hell.

I noticed he had a genuine problem of warhead of the crisis in the recommended settings, but thought it was just cos he couldn't do.

But I downloaded the untilty of Intel processor id and he gave the following results... as you can see on the bottom 4 lines the processor is very upset with the expected results for the frequency and buses (fewer than half actually).

Intel recommends if there is a huge gap, I need to contact the manufacturer... which brought me here.
Any advice before contacting tech support directly?
Just maybe I can play warhead after all! : o).

    Hello

Satellite P300-150 was equipped with the Intel Core 2 Penryn T8300 processor.
This processor supports Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology.

Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology allows the system to dynamically adjust the tension and the processor core frequency. This means that the CPU doesn't always work with maximum performance, but only if it of needed. This helps minimize the heat dissipation and allows to secure the battery energy!

The CPU seems to be slow check with the Intel ID tool ;)

  • Satellite P300 - 133 WiFi card - upgrade to N

    Hello
My laptop Satellite P300-133 was delivered with a WiFi Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card.
It has facilitated access to the PC card.

I have acquired a new worthy of the N standard wireless router.
It works very well with existing under the standard G laptop card.
New Satellite P300 models are standard h.

I would like to know if there is a map for the Satellite P300-133 that I can use to replace the original card for laptop with a corresponding also to the N standard.

    Thank you

    Hello

It is has some network cards wireless standard 802.11 Draft N but also as far as I know the project WLan N needs 3-wire antenna.

The other WLan standards such as 802.11 A, B or G need 2 antenna son and I imagine that the laptop has been delivered with 2 wired antenna and therefore the Draft N will not work in your notebook.

However, you can try some external wireless network cards that would favour the Draft N

  • How do I reinstall Satellite P300-1 has 2?

Hello! I really need help with my Satellite P300 - depending on how (with basic English) delete all my files on the computer, and then reinstall Windows Vista. I've read thorugh a lot of topics, assistance to users and others, but can find no solution at all.

Because I know that some BIOS-based and other stuff, so I would be grateful if someone could explain to me step by step, how to formate (?) my computer everything and then reinstall Vista.

I'm sure he was following no CD with the computer when I bought it, 70%, so in other words, I don't have any CD of Vista!

Thanks - I'll be happy for any kind of answers that you believe can help out me

    Hello

Just a question: have you already installed another version of Vista or not?

In addition, I put t understand why you didn t read the user manual
The point is that you must create a recovery disk Toshiba by yourself using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. This tool is preinstalled on your laptop and so you can create a Setup disk.

You can boot from that disk to reinstall Vista or other, you can use HARD drive recovery. You can start it if you go into the advanced boot menu and select Repair my computer. Then follow the instructions on the screen and Windows will be automatically reinstalled. With HDD the only function the first recovery partition will be wiped off so you can back up your files on the second partition.
    Here's more information: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

But I really recommend you read the manual before doing something. It s very interesting! ;)

  • Satellite P300 - 18 M - use the card reader for Vista Ready Boost OK?

    Hello

I have a P300 - 18M, and due to get a new phone, have a spare Micro SD 8 GB card.
I put it in the card reader, and I currently use it for Ready Boost, even though I have 3 GB of RAM, there is certainly a performance gain...

However, no one knows if this could endanger the card reader? (IE damage it in any way) to be used all the time?

    Thank you

    Jack

Hmm. I wonder about the 8 GB card Micro SD.
As far as I know and according to some details in the internet, Satellite P300 supports the microSD (with adapter) 512 MB to 4 GB.
Usually the laptop card reader s should recognize either large 4 GB microSD cards.

However I doubt it might affect the functionality of the card reader in the worst case that the 8 GB microSD card will not be recognized by the card reader

    See you soon

  • Satellite P300 keep gel

Toshiba Satellite P300 kept freezing and Windows install did not work; then backed up all the files via the safemode, restored with factory settings but no 2nd partition.

Everything went well with the new facility until went to IE, about 10th window IE it froze again, but Windows install at least worked. If hard, close, back to safe mode, restore factory again - same thing.
    I have no restore disks.

    Any suggestions please?

Hmmm... I read your ad several times but I still don t understand your problem.

Satellite P300 has been bundled with Windows Vista and the recovery image is recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder called HDDRecovery. You can install this image if you start Notepad with F8 and use repair my computer option. Recovery image will be installed, but the second HARD disk partition will remain unchanged.

So there is no clear statement about this recovery image installation in your ad.
Recovery image is installed correctly in the end?

I put t understand what you do safe mode. Safe mode has nothing to do with the recovery option.
I also put t understand your problem with IE. Can you please explain the problem a bit detailed?

  • Satellite P300 - freeze Touchpad with AC adapter

My English is not very good.

Can I use the touchpad of my Satellite P300 with battery only. With the AC adapter, I have a gel, and score is not possible

    Hey,.

Have you tried to update the driver for the touchpad? You can download all the up-to-date drivers/tools on the Toshiba page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Using the original from Toshiba AC adapter or another?

  • Satellite P300-1 year - Touchpad problem with AC adapter / CC

I have a laptop Satellite P300-1 year and from the beginning (two weeks)
I have a touchpad problem: it will not immediately responsive and the pointer shakes when pressing the key. Very often, it freezes for only one or two seconds.

It's VERY annoying. A USB mouse works perfectly.
I tried to reinstall the drivers of the ALPS, tried Synaptics ones, just try Windows Vista drivers: no way.

Now, I found the reason: this question is present only when the laptop is powered by the AC adapter / CC.
With the battery, the touchpad is perfect.

I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they do not change the AC adapter if I don't mean before a full system restore!
Is it not more simple just try with a new adapter and then only, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?

    Anyone had this same problem?

    > I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they do not change the AC adapter if I don't mean before a full system restore! Is it not more simple just try with a new adapter and then only, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?

The point is that your laptop should be always verified using the Toshiba factory setting.
Why? Because the ASP wants to make sure that this issue is not related to a software problem (compatibility problems with applications 3rd part). Software problems are not covered by the warranty.

In addition the ASP will always recover the laptop before the verification of the pieces of equipment to malfunction. Therefore, you should always back up your data from the HARD disk until you send the laptop to check.

I recommend you to reinstall the operating system using the Toshiba recover disc and then check if the problem appears.
If yes you can contact ASP and could provide all the necessary details for only one technician.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P300 with XP hangs at the screen "starting windows."

I recently bought the Satellite P300 - 01 and had XP installed on it. I have fixed all the problems except for the question, that I'm going to start.

When I turn on the laptop it loads everything flashes on the login screen and then hangs at 'starting windows' screen If I turn it off and then again about three times this issue finally arrives with the login screen. There was an ASP.NET account, and after the BIOS update that he disappeared, but the problem is still there? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    > There was an ASP.NET account, and he disappeared after the update of the BIOS
The whole story is really strange

I put t know how you installed XP on this laptop and why an ASP.NET account was created or exist, but in your case I would recommend doing so again.
Then install all service packs, hotfixes and patches of the XP!

Simply show words on XP on P300.
A friend of mine has installed XP on a P300 yesterday too and the XP works well
    Everything works fine!
