Satellite P300 guard crashing and giving me blue screens

Hello

I got a Satellite P300, running on Windows Vista home premium and its provided with a card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650.
My laptop crashes and send me windows and blue screens said that it is the cause of ls my graphics driver and the eror message is Atikmdag.
I've tried everything (I think), I re - installed windows but what I had to do a restore with the current settings, because in some cd a little way my F8 function does not work so I couldn't restore my windows from my hard drive.
I also had the latest Ati drivers, it does not help either, I also re-installed and tried to run my laptop on windows drivers, it doesn't help either.

I don't really know what to do, can anyone help me please?

Are you sure you're running video drivers downloaded from a site of Toshiba? Unfortunately the drivers may not be the root of the problem, so it is important to eliminate as the cause. How to remove AMD recommended driver is [http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx] and if you follow that with an installation of drivers Toshiba, then your laptop must be in a State also provided

I would recommend that you look at this [how to troubleshoot display driver stopped responding and has recovered, errors of type ATIKMDAG.sys | http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/737-27116RadeonSeries-ATIKMDAGhasstoppedrespondingerrormessages.aspx]

  • Computer guard stop and causing the blue screen Error Message

With the help of a Dell Vostro 200 with Windows XP Professional.  Suddenly, after you have moved the computer from one office to the next, she regularly stops and we get this blue screen that says:

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer.  If this screen appears again follow these steps:

Make sure any new hardware or software is installed correctly.  If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the Windows updates, you might need.

If the problem persists, disable any newly installed hardware or software, disable memory options such as caching or shadowing the BIOS.  If you need to use Mode safe mode to remove or disable components of your computer restarts, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

Can anyone help?  I installed an update of the necessary BIOS and that did not help and the computer is configured to have Windows Installer automatically what is updated, it needs.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite P300-275 - Crash when CPU at full load

    Hello everyone

I have a Satellite P300 - 275 (PSPCCE) and a big problem after maintenance rear.

When i games (average after 15 min Details CSS, ops black 15 min, 15 min bulletstorm...) and CPU it fully charged, my computer crash and I have to wait a few minutes before resuming.

I'm doing some tests, but I don't know how it can solve the problem.

    -Test Prime95 (connected)
Tested during a night and no problem, no crash
    http://ImageShack.us/photo/my-images/829/resultats.jpg/

    -Test OCCT (connected)
Being tested for an hour, the temperature rose to 90 ° C but no problem, no crash

    -Test Memtest86 + (connected)
I tested the two strips together and then each band separately and the pc crashed after 10 minutes (2x2gb DDR2-800)

    -Test FurManrk
-He led for 15 min, 4 average fps on battery, no problem!
-It ran for 30 seconds, 8 average FPS with battery and crash!
-He ran for 30 min, 4 fps average, on battery, and then I plug the sector, crash after 30 seconds!

    Someone has an idea?

    THX

Hmmm I have a few ideas.

First of all, you should check if the laptop cooling modules are free of dust and debris.
This prevents air circulation and cause of high temperature.
In addition, make sure that there is enough free space around the laptop.

Second idea; Use the Toshiba display driver. This driver supports protection of the GPU overheating. Use of that other drivers could lead to high temperature.

I just finished a new construction, including Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Update all the drivers went through, and now I get BSOD.  Initially, I'd get them, after that the system wake up to 'sleep' mode, but this morning I received after you start the computer from the closure.  They are the mistakes STOP F4, and I'm sure that there is a way to fix them, I just need help on where to start.  After a few reboots to check the version of the BIOS and what not, the computer would no longer connect to the internet.
    Here is my configuration:

When you've been a long game my system hang and see a blue screen?

You gave us a general indication of the nature of the problem but the specific error reports are a much easier solution.

When a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) the system failure occurs, for most users, there not enough time to fully record what he says. the exact text is important for anyone trying to diagnose what is wrong. You can save time when the error occurs then by following the procedure described below.

If you already did it disable the auto reboot system error. This should help by allowing the time to write the code to Stop error and related information correctly. Do right click on the icon my computer on the desktop and select Properties, advanced, startup and recovery, system failure and uncheck the box before automatically restarting. Re-do not enable automatic restart in the event of system failure after obtaining this information, this setting is the best left to not allow an automatic restart.

If the failure occurs during the initialization of the computer, you need to try a different approach. You can access the Advanced Options Menu of Windows on multiple computers by constantly pressing the F8 (key) key when starting and selecting the option - disable automatic restart in case of system error. This method is not always easy to use because it may be difficult to press the F8 key at the right time. Try again if it doesn't work the first time. On some computers, a different key must be used.

  • Satellite Pro L510 - crashes and blue screen

    Hello
I am a new user of the Toshiba Satellite Pro L510, since last September, barely 3 months.
Recently, had met 2 crashes (2nd is today s). As it happened today, there are blue screen that appears, which included messages like 'crash', 'written' physical memory... etc.

In addition to send it for repair for this new laptop, I don't know what is the best way to manage this accident and what might be the best way to prevent this accident.

Recently I installed programs such as Microsoft SQL Server 2008, anti-virus program (Sophos), which I think are necessary (the first was for my studies as well).

Would appreciate any pointers to advise me if these could be the causes of the accident, and that I have to do to keep the better laptop or y at - it any generic deficiency maybe I should take notes.

Thanks in advance for any advice for this laptop.
    Kind regards

    Hey,.

First of all, I must say it is very difficult to say whether this problem is software or hardware related, but in most cases these accidents are caused by software or drivers...

I put t know how many programs you have installed, what OS you use and if there are compatibility problems, but you can test it yourself: Toshiba start recovery disc recovery facility. After that, you have the same settings that you have purchased.

You should examine it a little these parameters. If everything is ok, it was just a problem software or driver. ;)

  • Satellite L505-10Z started giving a blue screen

    Hello

After nearly a year of wonderful performance of my laptop started giving me a blue screen saying a software failure, in any case, I decided to clean install it.

Apparently, the recovery disk supplied with the system was a 32 bit disc, so now that I spent and bought a 64 bit W7 Home permium.

I need some advice on the path of the installation.

-is it possible that I have first to clean install with CD 32-bit and then improve it later with the 64 bit
    or
-as I have downloaded all the drivers from the website, can I start the installation immediately with the 64-bit W7 Home Premium?

    Help, please

According to specification for laptop, that your laptop is shipped with WIN7 64 BITS Home PREMIUM & 32 BIT DVD so I put t understand why you didn't create DVD recovery for the 64-bit version, as described in the user s manuals document you have with your laptop.

Now, you have spent money for disk even if you got 64 bit with your laptop (recovery image).

Anyway, you cannot install 32 bit and upgrade to the 64-bit version. You must bring the new installation of the OS. Use your new drive and install Win7 64-bit.
After doing this the installation of drivers, tools and utilities as follows:
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Chipset SW installation utility
    LAN driver
    TOSHIBA HDD_SSD alert
    TOSHIBA Assist
TOSHIBA Extended Tiles for Windows Mobility Center
15 Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
    Display driver
    Audio driver
    TOSHIBA supervisor password utility
    TOSHIBA HW utility
    TOSHIBA Flash Cards support utility
    TOSHIBA Value Added Package

    Wireless LAN driver
    Realtek card reader
    Intel Turbo Boost Technology driver
    Intel Management Engine Interface

  • Satellite P300 - mouse gel and ATIKMDAG error - resolved

    If it helps someone...

I had a problem with my Satellite P300... The mouse used to freeze from time to time for 3-4 seconds each time which was very annoying... and I used to occasionally get an error atikmdag.
I searched the forums, but I couldn't find a definitive answer to my problem.

    Ultimately, here's what I did:

I've updated the two anf BIOS ATI drivers and Vista (mine is homefamily premium 32). It seems that this has helped solve the problem ATIKMDAG. But I still had my mouse freeze from time to time. Someone told me I should try updating my audio drivers (Connexant) which I did and it worked. No more 'gel '.

This means that these problems ATIKMDAG or mouse are not hardware issues because I was told first by technical services...

    Concerning

Thank you very much for this report.
As you know on the Internet you can find various forums where a lot of people are saying about error ATIKMDAG but offered solutions are different and will not help everyone. I'm glad to hear that your problems are solved.

I have the Satellite P300 in front of me and I'm happy with it. After a year now, I still the original image of recovery preinstalled on it (of course changed a bit) and it runs great.

Just a question: do you have maybe picked up info on the new Satellite P500? Great laptop with screen 18. I think that this will be my next. It you please?

  • Laptop keeps crashing after 3-5 minutes of availability and receive the blue screen STOP error message: 0x000000F4.

Original title: Windows 7 Home Premium Bluescreen

My laptop crashes after 3-5 minutes of availability and then I get a blue screen

    STOP: 0X000000F4
    I downloaded the minidump here:
as well as a log of driverview:
    Tom

    Hi Vashem,

The error STOP: 0x000000F4 can occur for several reasons. There are many reasons why your system may crash because of these screens to stop errors\Blue. The most common scenarios are: faulty drivers, hardware problem (especially RAM). In this case, the issue could be due to the motherboard is heated.

Check firmware and system disk controller BIOS settings are correct and that the storage device has been correctly installed.

Method 1: The problem is possibly due to material of unsupported disk controller. Check if BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) is set to IDE. Enter the BIOS and check the settings. Change the SATA to IDE option (if available). You can view the manual to do the same thing.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

Method 2: Disconnect any external devices from the computer except for the mouse and keyboard and check if that helps.

  • Why my PC keep crashing and giving me a BSOD?

I had this problem for months. the last error code read (System Service Exception... STOP: 0X0000003B). Please let me know if you need the dump files or any other information. Unfortunately none of the diagnoses that I run can identify the problem, I updated the drivers and updates of Windows and electronic or Fry or Geek Squad staff can find the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards
    Mr. Olivo
These accidents were caused by the corruption of memory (probably a driver).  Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

Don't forget to download any other DMP files (especially those running auditor)

If you are overclocking reset all default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!   If you don't know what it means that you're probably not

    1 - Memtest.
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. http://www.memtest.org
Boot from the CD and let it run at least 5 or 6 passes.
Remember, anytime Memtest reports errors, it can be bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.
Test the sticks individually and if you find a good, test it in all slots.

Any error is indicative of a memory problem.
If a well-known stick fails in a slot of motherboard, it's probably the slot.

    2. Driver Verifier

Using Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition. Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver.

But sometimes it will crash and will not tell you the driver.
Sometimes it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.
I suggest that you first back up your data and make sure you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems.
Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).

    Here is the procedure:

Click Start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
Select 'Create a custom settings (for code developers)' and click 'Next' (or Type "check/standard/all" (without the quotes) If you want to check each of them (this will slow down your computer))

Choose "Select custom settings from a full list" and click "Next".
Select the entire document except for "Low resource Simulation" to win 8 do not check concurrency stress test and the verification of the conformity of DDI, click "next".
Select "Select driver names from a list", then click "next".
Select all drivers that are NOT provided by Microsoft, and then click "Next".
On the next page, select "Finish".
Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen.
Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times. The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers. If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.
If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.
