  To my knowledge, it there has not of special requirements to the USB flash key, a common USB should be recognized correctly as boot device.

  Of course, it might be possible that there is a problem with your USB key
  On the other hand, it might be possible that your USB drive is not formatted correctly.

  I think you need to format the Flash DRIVE to FAT32 standard and need to make it bootable.
  If this does not help, try another USB flash memory.

  I have these overheating problems with my laptop Satellite P300D 10v.
  I did everything I could do to fix it without success...

  I have updated the bios of Toshiba. I cleaned my knees in the air compressed first and then all disassembled and cleaned better. (it was a very clean look but...)

  BUT unfortunately the problem persists...
  So I did a search on the internet and found out that most of the owners of Toshiba have the exactly same problem with their laptop.
  Well, I guess it's a bug of Toshiba for many years.
  Its a tour really nice, cool sound (the best laptop ever), BUT...
  So I wanted to do a question. As I am still under warranty, can I return this laptop and get my money back or replace it with another?

  I m new in this forum and I m having some problems with my new laptop Satellite P300D - 10v.
  While playing games or during a 'hard' application my pc stops by itself after a few minutes and all this when power management is set to high performance or balanced. So the only way to run my knees without fear of unexpected closure is either in terms of standby power something that has a lot reduced the performance of my pc. I m running on Vista 32-bit home basic SP1.

  Hi all! I write about a problem with the screen of my Toshiba P100-202. I recently posted in the thread "Satellite P100-202: screen will freeze" and my current problem is actually quite similar to what is explained in the thread "Satellite P100-119: display no longer works.   I decided after my previous problem, get my screen replaced. Everything seemed fine, except on the occaisonal instances, especially when I was using the "Internet Explorer" program, in which the screen sort of will re-start, IE. everything went black for a few seconds (music, etc. However would continue) then (boom) everything should reappear, sometimes in ultra - zoom for a second or two. The computer (OS = Windows 7) would report "problem with NVIDIA graphics driver", and then the operations would continue normally. This happened several times, but not often, and I was not too worried about it. Then, a few days before, I was using the latest release candidate of Internet Explorer 9 and the screen is blacked out and my music has continued and I thought 'OK, no problem' and then after a few seconds, and then the music stopped (and I thought ' uh - oh ') and then the blue screen of death.
  OK, don't panic, reboot, but of course there is no word of welcome, no nothing, just a blank screen, with the backlight still works created a worrisome greyish tint. And then suddenly the mouse appears, followed by the entire screen, so I unwisely rejected the incident.   Unfortunately I can not offer a final solution or diagnosis, but I think you should test the functionality with the original recovery image (recovery DVD) you have with your laptop.

  Install the OS using this disc and test functionality. If the same thing happen over and over again there must be a hardware problem.
  If you need to bring the laptop to the service ask first how much cost repair. Maybe it will be too expensive and you can buy the new laptop instead of paying lots of money to repair this old model of laptop.

• WinXP Conexant Sound/Modem satellite P300D driver problem

  I have a strange problem with my Installation of XP. I had to reinstall XP two days ago because there no periodically starts.

  In any case on my new install, I can't install THE Conexant drivers, who would be the modem and audio driver. I need the modem, so this isn't the important point, but the sound is annoying. I've been trying several drivers I found on the internet but none work, they all complain to the facility, there is that no devices found which would correspond to the driver.

  The strange thing is that I was able to install these drivers, when I installed XP about 3 weeks ago... I have no idea what the problem is now.
  Both devices are displayed as "PCI Device" in Device Manager. What is interesting is that the Instance ID of the devices device do NOT correspond with those who are in the files of the driver... maybe a problem with the chipset drivers, who pack things?

• Satellite L500: WARNING: problem with cooling system message

  We have 2 x L500 computers laptops, one was bought and activated a day of July 2010 (Computer1)
  The other was purchased 1 day later the same store and activated the same day - 1 day later (machine 2)

  Yesterday machine 1 responded with the warning message, there is a problem with the cooling system - please turn the machine off and return it for service.

  Machine 2 responded today with the exact same message, just after turning on after 4 hours OFF... an unusual situation say you or are - this sort of built in: service to generate the functionality?
  I'm not convinced it's a stroke of luck and there is nothing wrong with a machine that I could see.

  Anyway to reset every machine has solved the problem, see how long it takes to return.
  As you may have guessed, two machines are out of warranty by a few months now.
