Satellite P300D - 21K - problem Hibernate / sleep

Toshiba Satellite P300D - 21K was pre installed with Vista Home edition, but no more.

It has Win 7 64 bit blank installed RAM was fun to the maximum and there is no additional software that was installed on the PC yet just the OS package is.

I put the PC in 'sleep' by FN + F3 or simply close the lid and it works very well. When I take by opening the cover, he wakes up in fine. I begin to exploit where I left who works until it completely freezes and the only way to solve the problem is in the power and turn it on again and restart Windows. This always happens when I use the sleep function.

When I got this PC runs smoothly so this seems to be a software problem.

Copied files have been archived.

> When I passed this PC runs smoothly, so this seems like a software problem.
Hmm I do not know if its software issue related m
It could be linked to the new RAM installed since data will be written into the RAM going in standby mode.

Recommended to remove the RAM module installed to test the laptop mode and sleep.

  • Satellite P300D - 21K: Windows 7 64 bit upgrade level & RAM Upgrade advice

Hi, I need some advice on upgrading my laptop. My laptop is a:

    Toshiba Satellite P300D - 21K
    Model No.: PSPD0E - 00H003EN

I think of upgrading to windows 64-bit (lucky students can do that for A £30!) to help speed up my laptop. I use some CAD applications, so 64-bit should help with the speed of these applications. Question:

    (1) are there reasons that someone could advise me not upgrading to 64-bit with my laptop?
    (2) I need to update my RAM at least 4 GB for 64-bit. I currently have 3 gig, so I guess I need to replace my stick of 1 GB with a 2 gig stick? Or did I put a 4 GB stick with my existing 2 gig stick?
    (3) going to upgrade my ram and operating system void my warranty?

1 in my opinion there is no reason why you should not install version 64-bit OS. Just be sure that all 64-bit drivers are available on the Toshiba support page.
I imagine at the moment for Win7 drivers are still not available and you have to wait.

    2. According to the specifications of the laptop Satellite P300D - 21 K can handle with 4 GB 2x2gb RAM max is the maximum that you can do about it.
2 GB compatible RAM has PA3513U-1M2G part number.

    3 No.

    Hello

    I have a laptop satellite. P300D - 21K.

My wireless connection seems to have been interrupted every 1-2 minutes. I can say this, because when I watch BBC iplayer or youtube streaming, you can see the buffering stops and the audio/video will stop then. I have to launch launch myslef by pressing pause then play to get it again.

I don't have this problem when I use my cable system, so according to me, this is a problem with the service my laptop wireless.

    Any advice?

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that you should do this too

Check if your BIOS is up to date and put updated also the driver WLan.

  • WinXP Conexant Sound/Modem satellite P300D driver problem

    Hello

I have a strange problem with my Installation of XP. I had to reinstall XP two days ago because there no periodically starts.

In any case on my new install, I can't install THE Conexant drivers, who would be the modem and audio driver. I need the modem, so this isn't the important point, but the sound is annoying. I've been trying several drivers I found on the internet but none work, they all complain to the facility, there is that no devices found which would correspond to the driver.

The strange thing is that I was able to install these drivers, when I installed XP about 3 weeks ago... I have no idea what the problem is now.
Both devices are displayed as "PCI Device" in Device Manager. What is interesting is that the Instance ID of the devices device do NOT correspond with those who are in the files of the driver... maybe a problem with the chipset drivers, who pack things?

    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance :)

Have you installed the chipset drivers?

Are all the other devices in device not installed Manager?

  • Satellite P300D - 21K - Sound completely stopped working

    Hello

I used my P300D - 21K with no problems for a few weeks now. But today the sound completely stopped working on the laptop. It seems that there is laptop thinks it is running through it, like the sound level meter, the exit bar is pulsated up and down that I play a sound track.

    Any ideas?

I got a message saying "Error in creation of the sound buffer winamp 8878006 error code" but it was after I had lost the sound.

Have you checked the Device Manager? The sound card is correctly recognized?

Maybe you should try to update the audio driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Did you check if the sound is muted only? You can do this with FN + ESC.

It does not work! How to start!

I use a newer driver of origin! With the previous driver output TV not too worked!

    Kind regards!

    Hello

The laptop seems to support a 4pijn s-video port and HDMI port.
Which port you use to connect to the TV?

You can use both and it only depends on the available on television port.
Choose the right channel on the TV and then use the FN + F5 key combination to switch to the TV out.

  • Some drivers Win XP for Satellite P300D - 21K necessary PSPD0E

    Hello

I'm trying to put Windows XP on my Satellite P300D - 21 k PSPD0E. I've successfully installed and download all the drivers from the Toshiba site... but I still have an IEEE 1394 controller, Ethernet controller and PCI device no drivers in Device Manager.

I think that these usually come with the chipset drivers?
They are not on the site of anywhere... and assume that they are not part of the update of the BIOS (I didn't run it because I have a double partition).

Any ideas for help would be muchly appreciated.

    Owen

    > However I still have IEEE 1394 controller, Ethernet controller and PCI device no drivers in Device Manager.

Ethernet controller seems to be LAN or WLan card and would recommend the LAN and WLan driver installation.

The wireless network card seems to be Atheros.
Here you can find the WLan drivers:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

LAN chip is Marvell and the driver is available on the European driver Toshiba page. If you have not installed this in the past, then do it

Do not know what could be the another PCI device, but you can find it easily by using this work around:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=78

The IEEE 1394 controller seems to be firewire port.
Since the laptop seems to be equipped with a graphics chip ATI chipset driver is the graphics driver.
The graphics card driver folder (once it has been unpacked) contains the SBDrv folder.
You can try to install the driver through the Device Manager pointing to the files in the SBDrv folder

    Good luck

After installing the 3G modem & updates on day of Wireless manager from 29 September, my laptop began to have trouble waking sleep mode. Most of the time I had to hard stop. I solved currently the changing options issued for the "sleep mode" in the Panel, for the most part by turning off the advanced features (hybrid sleep, sleep, sleep network adapters usb). Hello

To my knowledge, it there has not of special requirements to the USB flash key, a common USB should be recognized correctly as boot device.

Of course, it might be possible that there is a problem with your USB key
On the other hand, it might be possible that your USB drive is not formatted correctly.

I think you need to format the Flash DRIVE to FAT32 standard and need to make it bootable.
If this does not help, try another USB flash memory.

    Good luck

  • Satellite P300D - 12L - problem of microphone with Yahoo messenger and Skype

    Hi again!

I use Windows Vista 64 SP2 and I have a problem with the microphone, if I use Yahoo messenger, Skype.
If I want someone to talk to, no one can hear me, or I don't hear from him. There is no difference whether I use Internet or wireless cable. I get the message "wifi weak signal" or something.
I have to mention the fact that, among all attempts made so far once worked, but just once. Im going to crazy. Can someone help me please?

    Thanks in advance

Microphone internal generally on Toshiba laptops work correctly with different messengers, especially with Skype.
I checked on several laptops and did not notice a single problem.

So I guess there must be a problem with the audio settings.
Did you install own OS or the Toshiba Recovery for 64-bit image?
    Audio driver is installed correctly?
    Have you tested with headphones?

  • Satellite P300D - 21K Touchpad scroll not working not not on Windows 7

    Hello

I'm new to this forum so I don't know if this is the right place to post this.

Anyway, recently I installed Windows 7 32 bit on my Toshiba laptop, everything went well and I installed all the drivers I needed in order to make the webcam and the function of the keys at work etc.

But I have a problem, my touchpad scrolling is not working after installation, now I can't scroll up and down, left and right with my touchpad. I tried searching for all the drivers who can help solve this problem, but I havn't been able to find everything about the touchpad.

Anyone would be able to help me with my problem? Would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Hi SA90,.

Normally, you need to install the driver for the touchpad for use of the virtual scrolling function. I checked the site Web of Toshiba and I could find a touchpad driver for Windows Vista 32 bit. Normally the Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7.
