Satellite P500 overheats constantly all game

I had the laptop for about 3 months now and for the last 6 weeks, he was constantly overheating.
I brush the air vents to get rid of the dust, but it doesn't seem to help.

The temperature will constantly be at 47%, then suddenly it will overheat after about 30 min of play.
Also, I never hear any sign that the fan is going faster.

Can someone please.
I have to do something or should I just put up with every half hour of brushing to fans?

Hey Buddy,

What games can you play on your new Satellite P500?
By the way: are you satisfied with this laptop? I also think of buying a Satellite P500 for home use. It seems to be interesting for this because it has a large screen and a keyboard with numeric keypad.

Anyway, if you have installed another display driver remove and install the driver display Toshiba directly. They are pre-tested and don't overheat your laptop.

What operating system and the BIOS you have installed?

    Hello

The forum already contains these discussions where notebooks will freeze after 5 or 10 minutes of play. Have you read them?

Now it s not easy to say what causes this problem but first of all you need to install the latest driver of Toshiba display. Don t use non-Toshiba drivers, as they can cause the overheating!

Also make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS and it s useful to clean the laptop time using a jet of compressed air.

  • Toshiba Satellite A60-105 is not compatible with all games

Hello. I have a Toshiba SA60-105 with a graphics ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7000 IGP. I know it is not the best map graphic, but is - it possible which is not compatible with all games? I tried to play with Manhunt (Rockstar), Silent Hill 3, Metal Gear Solid 2 and there is no result... the map is not compatible! I would like to know if there is an updated driver, or if there is a way to play. Thank you all (and excuse my English...)

    Hello

    that doesn't mean not compatible?

Is the graphics card no identified by your game, or games games don't even start?

    Good bye

  • Satellite P500-190 stuck in a loop

Well, I try to summarize what has happened so far.

I have a Toshiba Satellite P500-190 has started acting as each task is too big for him, constantly showing disk hard loading, programs did not respond for a while... then I ran the reconverty tool, reset the c drive, the problem still there.

I ran all the error detection of characteristics of pc, no hardware problems or software detected. So I installed malwarebytes anti-malware and ran a scan, it finds errors, but before I could act, the program froze again no response. Press ctrl alt del, black screen, no response... reboot. Now my dosent pc even trying to start windows, only error detection program and each restart goes like this, even after going through the program as it is said.
I tried to get to the other menus of repair, but it says I must be logged in to do this.

    Any ideas how to continue?

    Hi bug

Please reinstall the recovery image and boot OS without having to install additional stuff.
Do not connect to the internet and check the functionality. Open some pre-installed apps and see if they will not work correctly.

Play around with these factory settings and let us know if there is a problem.

  • Satellite P500 - Solution how to operate sound on XP 32-bit and 64-bit

    Hi all..
Now, I write here how I did something that seems impossible...
I mean sound running on a computer satellite phone / qosmio p500/505 300/500
and other models with Conexant sound card high definition on x 32 / x 64 Windows XP sp2/sp3...
I know that many of us have a problem to run any noise at all,
the fundamental problem is that Windows XP doesn't have a built-in driver files
are responsible for the recognition of the last sound based on the high-definition audio cards.
Latest patch for kb888111 system published by Microsoft to address this issue was published in 2005
and does not appear in the files that recognize the latest Conexant sound card.

next problem is the correct driver. Toshiba has not released XP drivers for the card its Conexant
for computer laptop qosmio / satellite 500 / 505, so you should find and use the drivers supplied by
the manufacturers of other computer models. most of the pilots and the best have to download Lenovo and Dell.
Personally I used to run the sound in my P500 drivers downloaded from the web site of Dell
more important in the downloaded drivers, then to install is to edit. INF file that is located in the folder
with the drivers. This file is a textfile and then edit it in Notepad.
Edition. INF file is trolling in the path to the identification of our equipment.
Hardware ID can be found for example in the Device Manager tab in the detroit, video controllers and games.
for most new toshiba laptop hardware id is:

    %HdAudioFunctionDriver.Pebble5071.DeviceDesc% = HdAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_14F1 & DEV_5069 & SUBSY S_1179FFD4

but it can vary so please check it on your computer!

Those who have managed to run the sound will certainly have to deal with another problem,
After restarting the computer no sound and the computer loses the drivers and settings
and next to the watch does not appear on the "speaker" icon. This problem is also resolved by me below.

    Now to work...
I assume that you have already installed XP x 32 or x 64, but not yet executed a sound.
to run the sound, install the chipset driver, then the kb888111 patch.
    If all goes well,
the devices of the system device manager tab you should found 2 entries "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio".
where are these 2 entries, click on each of them, right click and select "update driver".
then you select "install from a list or specific location" and point to the location where you saved the
files that you have downloaded from the link n ° 1
Don't FORGET not to confuse it and do not try to update the x 32 system using file system designed for X 64 and vice versa
When we updated the system should automatically detect the sound card in Device Manager should be of about
5 points to mark yellow, four belong to Nvidia and one for the Conexant High Definition Audio HD audio.
Now, install the driver from the Nvidia graphics card that contains the audio driver. After the restart of the installation
After the computer restarts. Enter the Device Manager and it is more 5 yellow question mark points,
is the only one this one belongs to map its Conexant, make right click on this one in yellow and
Select 'update driver' and select 'install from a list or specific location ".
and point to the location where you saved the files that you downloaded from the link n ° 2
pointing hand and force the installation of driver. After installation, you enjoy the sounds.
Don't FORGET not to confuse it and do not try to update the x 32 system using file system designed for X 64 and vice versa

link n ° 2, includes the drivers that I have edited and I use myself
in my Toshiba Satellite P500 - 1 CG. What are the drivers for XP x 32 and x 64 sp2/sp3

    link n ° 1 http://www.speedyshare.com/files/23583256/UAA_BUS_DRIVER_update.rar

In addition it s equipped of the fast processor and a graphics card, ideal for playing games.

  • Satellite P500-01R volume fluctuations

    Hello

I bought the laptop Satellite P500-01R in Aou09. Portable volume on speakers keep in fluctuating (sound quality is good, but volume goes up and down constantly). I tried music on hard drive, CD/DVD and online with the same results. I use Windows Vists 64-bit. When I listen to the same sound on the headphones, it's perfect. All the world is facing this problem and found the solution? Toshiba technical support has no ready solution for this.

    Hello

The P500 seems to be a new series on the market I didn't find even the drivers on the Toshiba page for this series
Maybe you need an audio driver update or maybe that it s just a matter of adjustments as suggested by Akuma
If you have a Realtek audio chip, then you could try a driver Realtek page directly.

But playing with the sound settings that you might find in Control Panel.

  • Satellite P500 a bad performance in windows 7

I have a satellite P500, model No. PSPE8C-026006 for 3 years. Core 2 Quad Q9000 @ 2.00 GHz, 2.00 Ghz, 6 GB Ram, 1 TB HD.64 bit windows 7 OS. Even if it is 3 years old, it is still decent Spec

This laptop is preforming really kicking up. It took 10 minutes to boot and load all startup programs. I understand that there are many programs of preloading of Toshiba. I have disabled many of them, the situation does not improve. Later, I reformatted the laptop and reinstall windows 7, didn't install any program from Toshiba, situation still not improving that much.

Once launched. It is quite slow to open applications. It preforms as memory is not sufficient, as the latest version of Windows running on a really old computer. Sometimes it randomly freezes for a few seconds while watching videos or playing games.

many times, windows 7 freezes while I download. I Force shutdown, then restart the computer. Check with Microsoft, stil could not determine if it is a hardware or software problem.

We have another laptop with a lot less specs (Core 2 duo @1.5 Ghz, 3 GB ram). fact the exact comparison even scenario. running much faster and smoonth than the P500. two laptops have the exact version of windows 7 home on. things simply not adding up

I tried to reformat the HD, reinstall windows 7, upgrading the BIOS, remove any program on star system upward. Nothing really effective. Help, please

    Hello

I have the same machine and use it daily. To be honest, I agree with you: it's not the fastest machine but solid multimedia notebook. A few months ago I ve decided to tune up.
The first step has been upgraded RAM so I ve upgraded to max level. It was a little better, but I was not so happy. Friend of mine told me I should upgrade/Exchange SSD HARD drive so I ordered one.

After Exchange SSD, I was really surprised how fast Mobile runs. It load Windows in just 35 seconds and open all applications in a few seconds. Everything runs very fast so if you want to have great P500 RAM upgrade and use SSDS. Believe me you will be happy with your machine.

To be honest, I really like P500 and it is for me very nice machine of Toshiba. I wouldn't go for a newer model.

What do you think of all this?

  • Installation of Windows 7 64 bit on a Satellite P500

I bought the above system in August last year with 32-bit Windows 7 installed. I understand that it is not possible to upgrade and to a complete new installation. Is it necessary to format the hard drive first? Have backed up all my data (there was not a lot), but wonder if there is something else I need to know before you continue. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

I m a bit confused because I have too many Satellite P500 and, as far as I know, this laptop model comes with 64-bit only.
Can you please tell us what P500 you exactly (P500-xxx)?

You are right; before installation Win7 HDD needs to be formatted. If you have installed the OS in the past, I guess you know how it works.
Associated with Toshiba here are two things you should know before starting with the installation of Win7 64 bit:
    # Create recovery with the original Toshiba image DVDs. This disk, you can use if you want to have the factory settings once again.
    # Drivers, tools and utilities must be installed in the proper installation order. If you ned some hep with it let us know.

I tried this but nothing helped. I also tried to reinstall the camera and update the drivers. Still nothing.

I had some problems with speakers this time.
Since there are Harmon/Kardon speakers installed in the computer, the sound itself is fine.
    However, it is not.

Sound is too quiet, even if I listen to music on the max volume.
As well, I noticed the sound fluctuates all the time and there are crackling noises.
All audio drivers are up to date, but they did not help.

Could you please tell, what's the problem? Thank you!

Perhaps what is its volume in the drive that you use low upgraded? Select this check box.

Friend of mine has bought Satellite P500 last month. We have installed OS, created recovery discs and tested sound using Skype, Winamp, Windows Media Player and watch blu - ray discs.

    Hello

Unfortunately, there are no drivers for Windows XP 64-bit on the Toshiba driver page.
As a solution, you should go to the provider's site to download or use programs like the genius of pilots to collect.
Note that some drivers did not at all exist.

    Hey mate,

What additional software you have installed?
Have you updated to the drivers and what OS you have installed?

In this case, it's really hard to say what is the cause, so you should test with factory settings and see what happens.

My laptop, a Toshiba Satellite P500 is defective. It will boot after post and as soon as it reaches the "Starting Windows" (WIN 7) logo splash, it freezes and it will stay like that for hours. I changed the hard drive, the memory modules, I tried to reinstall the operating system, I tried to boot with a Linux Live CD, Live USB and DVD USB, but all help drive does not. I changed the BIOS configuration, and then reset to default, again without success.

Don't you think it's a fault of MB, CPU or GPU?

And someone has a suggested method of remedy?
I thank you all in advance and will be happy to help anyone!

    Thanks again!

    Hello

You have already replaced the common areas like the HARD drive and memory.
It was my first idea of memory or the HARD drive may be affected, but if you are sure that the new parts are ok, then the problem might be related to the motherboard.

Usually if the CPU would be affected, then the POSITION could not be transmitted correctly.
So it seems that this motherboard you could go wrong function which means that the fix will be really expensive since the new motherboard is one of the expensive laptop parts
