  Hello, my trusty Satellite Pro C: is completely filled, and so I would wipe and do complete a new installation of Windows.

  It came with VISTA on it when I bought it several years ago.

  It's a Satellite Pro A120-185 and the operating system only disk I got with it was just something to 'upgrade' disc of Vista.
  I bought and paid for Windows Vista with the laptop, thus so I wouldn't have a license can I reinstall?

  Please note that I am an advanced PC user, I'm not looking for ways to reduce the space that my household is good and I uninstalled everything I do not use or need.

  I just want to be able to clean the laptop and reinstall Windows Vista... is it going to be possible? (I don't see why it shouldn't be because Vista came with the laptop!). Please tell me where I can get the windows disk since?

  You didn t get this disk because you create the recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc Creator called pre-installed tool.
  This was mentioned in the manual as well!

  Discovered since I posted this question, by downloading the latest sound card driver, I can now control my sound on the roll switch on the front of the machine, but there is no display appears on the screen, as he did with XP.

• Question about installing WXP LAN Driver on Satellite Pro A120

  I have a Satellite Pro A120 (PSACIE) with Vista installed. I created a dual boot with XP Prof I seem to have all the drivers except the WLAN and LAN drivers. I have downloaded the LAN driver there is no setup.exe file. No problem, (I think, maybe someone out there knows differently?).

  I used Device Manager to load the file inf and intel pro/1000 PL network connection selected with the Hardware Installation Wizard. At the end the wizard said there was an error code 10 and that the device probably would not work properly.

  Can anyone help? It does not of course! By pure chance that I bought a port replicator, its LAN works with XP but do not work with Vista! (There is a hint here)

  Is it possible I can get details on the LAN device such as model, serial number? Any help appreciated gratefully.

  I recently bought a Satellite Pro A120 with Windows Vista professional. I have a problem with the DVD player (Mat * a DVD - RAM) because sometimes when I insert a CD of the software, the disk turns but does not recognize the drive.

  I have problems to make my laptop to load the Windows operating system. My laptop (no X6062917H series) was purchased in November 2006. I've recently upgraded the operating system to Windows Vista (Toshiba, Promotion) and was later to upgrade the BIOS of Toshiba.

  This was done via the Toshiba site, opting for the upgrade via the Windows option. Since the upgrade of the BIOS, I have used this phone two or three times, and now I can't use it at all.

  Please don t forget that Vista has been installed on your laptop and the additional tools of Toshiba and the utilities that control many additional features!
  There is a huge difference between Vista and early Microsoft operating systems.

  The Vista eat computer resources and many devices old don t work or cannot be installed because the 3rd device manufacturers don t provide Vista drivers!

  In my opinion an upgrade to 2 GB ram would increases the performance of laptop.
  All programs and utilities could be loaded more quickly

  You can check this link:

  Then download the drivers and burn them to a CD/DVD. Back up your data on a DVD or external HARD drive.
  After you have done all these things, just put the CD in your drive and install XP and then install all the drivers and you'll be lucky.

  Technical details: I have a Satellite Pro A120, purchased about four years, running MS Vista. A year ago I noticed my battery has been virtually exhausted and bought a new battery (this one, to be exact: [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0028NJAL2]). Since last year it worked very well and I have no reason to suspect that the battery itself might have a problem. Most of the time, I have the laptop plugged in, in any case.

  However, recently (last few weeks, I think) I started to have occasional problems when all of a sudden I am notified that the battery can not be found - or rather, there is no actual notification, but the power icon in the changes of system tray with a small red on it X, and then the computer hangs. The touchpad still works and I can move the pointer on the screen, but absolutely nothing else says and there is no way out next to a hard reboot. Sometimes, if I catch the icon change from time to time and unplug the power cord (force the computer running on battery), it actually corrects issues. Not always, though.

  Attempts to seek similar problem descriptions online were not very useful; most of the time, the description does not exactly fit my situation or the Seraph blames the battery or the operating system (which, in my case, to be as the wrong answers, since I said the battery generally works well, and I had the same OS from the start). Also a search of these forums did not have no useful result. I'll call my go - to computer store and see if their engineers have all the answers or if it's just the time to take the old horse pasture and find a new filly, but thought that perhaps the good people on this forum may be able to offer advice (additional).

  I think that no one will be able to tell what's wrong exactly; I think it is s battery issue but of course, no one can say it it s battery maybe motherboard or just a software problem. OPERATING SYSTEM.

  I currently own a Satellite Pro A120 (model: PSAC1A - K 00, 005) Windows XP Professional... I do not have an ounce of trouble with this computer and not have it to a Toshiba service center in the almost three years I've owned it so far! This computer received training from me at the moment and never gave me any major problems!

  The only problem I had (and it wasn't linked computer) was that my modem to broadband wireless gave the soul and I had to have a professional appearance of home - COMPUTER problem is the modem! I had previously updated a week before and it overloaded for sodomy and he said, "I don't want to play more!" and stopped working! This then cost me $ 299 for a new modem and on the reverse a new first a loser who has been blamed by my ISP and I went back and got a new free! What prompted my parents to go out and buy a Satellite A300 (unknown model yet!) so that they can use it in their business!
