satellite pro a60 problem with game called "call of duty".

I have a satellite pro a60 with skvideo ati radeon 7000 igp. I have the problem with the game "call of duty" because it is too slow. With my old laptop with ati igp 340 skvideo is not this problem.
ATI have solved this problem with the new driver, but for this toshiba is not new driver, why?

Anyone know where I can find 'new post' I did not know where to click to make a new post!

    Hello

I recently had problems with my microphone and speakers/headphones and game controllers.
Sometimes the microphone stops working when on Skype, for example, but most of the time works fine, once again, when I restart the pc.

Stakeholders sometimes still work when I connect headset.
Some of the sounds are still coming through the speakers while some coming through the headphones.

I have a usb game controller which also did not work everything properly.
If I assign buttons in the program that they do not work in the game.

All these devices are in Device Manager in a group that makes me think it's sort of annoying update doubtful that messes with them.

Any body have similar problems or know what to do better?

    Hello

Can you please send some details on the laptop model and the system you are using?

With regard to the issue of sound/mic:
    > The microphone sometimes stops working when on Skype, for example, but most of the time works fine, once again, when I restart the pc.

Are you talking about internal microphone or external? This only happens using Skype?
In your case I would test the microphone using different applications to make sure that is not a Skype related issue.

    > Yet sometimes the speakers work when I connect headset.
    I recommend this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=65295

The user has had a similar problem, but this phenomenon was linked to the Realtek HD Audio Manager settings.
    She wrote:
+ In the upper right corner, there is a small yellow folder called "Connector settings" in my version. +
+ There, finally I could re-enable the setting "enable popup dialog box, when the unit is plugged. +

+ So now when I plug an external speaker or headphones, it appears, and I select the option "helmet" (instead of "line-in"), and then the sound only through the headphones/ext.speaker.+

    Regarding the game controller:
    > I have a usb game controller which also did not work everything properly.

I put t think its problem of laptop in my opinion, you must make sure that the controller is compatible with the games you play and also recommended to check some info provided by the manufacturer of the game controller.

  • Satellite Pro A300: Problem with Microsoft Security Essentials

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 with XP SP3 and now deleted AVG Free and installed Microsoft Security Essentialls (MSE).

The result is after installing MSE and begin my laptop cursor is stuck in the center of the screen and will not respond to the inputs of the mouse or the keyboard.

In aid of F12 to get my startup options allowed me to try the Safe Mode and last known good Configuration etc but they all show the same functionality, IE freeze when the desktop appears. XP seems to be operating in the background, for example system clock stays on time, "notice" system if its wifi singal is removed etc.

Just to make the day to try to do an OS reinstall pressing 0 to on has no effect - system just boots in XP - so I can't my recovery partition!

I have now is not a HW problem as the /kbd cursor works if I boot into a non-windows system, for example UBUNTU CD

Any suggestions welcome - such as can I download a recovery on antother PC CD and burn a recovery CD?

    Hello

I have no idea what happened after installing Microsoft Security Essentials, but it seems that you are not able to access the files on the HARD drive
I think you need to reinstall the operating system using HARD drive recovery.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=58

But this would format the system partition :(

In order to save the files from the HARD drive, I recommend using / boot from a bootable floppy from Win PE.
Win PE (also called BartPE) is a thin window OS that is bootable CD and don t need to be installed on the HARD drive.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - problems with WiFi after Windows update 8.1

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could give some advice on a problem I have.

Had an adjustable C850 Pro for a few months and worked well on Windows 8.
I myself am then harassed and intimidated by Microsoft Update in order to install Windows 8.1 and in a moment of weakness, I succumbed (got sick of the nagging).

Since that time, my wifi is very intermittent; either I'm on another computer write this and the laptop is essentially not connected to the internet.

For some reason any (although I didn't try it before), I can not connect via ethernet either, so I think it's probably the driver problems. (I also tried to connect the public wifi but fails).

I tried to install the driver WiFi Toshiba 8.1 but that has not solved the problem.
Then I noticed that I'm supposed to install a bunch of drivers in the order.

Maximum setting to do it, but the first package (associated with bluetooth) said I have to remove the current driver... I try by "turning off", then "Uninstall" but 8.1 seems to re - install automatically and I don't know how to disable this option (I can try to delete the driver file, I guess, but I'm sure 8.1 covered too and will probably launch a drone to try me out ", if I do). *

Any kind soul there suggestions on a way forward? Pls.

I see in the instructions of Toshiba Windows Update 8.1 should I have uninstalled the drivers before the update, but there is not much I can do about it now. :(

    Hello

    > I don't see in the instructions of Toshiba Windows Update 8.1 should I have uninstalled the drivers before the update, but there is not much I can do about it now
All your problems with the Windows 8.1 update related to the fact that you have not upgraded the Windows 8.1 system as recommended by Toshiba.

    Details:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

    Solution?
Back to Windows 8 (reset the system back to factory settings)
Then, install all updates and patches for Windows 8 and follow along with the upgrade of system as described on the Toshiba Windows 8.1 upgrade page

On the page of the Toshiba UE driver, you will find all the instruments that must be installed in the correct order and Windows 8.1 driver!

  • Satellite Pro L10 problem with Ports COM/Hyperterminal & Bluetooth

    Hello
I have the following problems with the above machine:

    (1) I have attached an external series COM port to the machine. However, I can not connect to the COM Port using Hyperterminal.
    (2) I installed a Bluetooth USB adapter, but I can't view the protocol configuration.

Each of the above works perfectly with another laptop that doesn't have a Bluetooth or even a network card.

Everyone has experienced similar problems. I use WinXP SP2.

    Thank you

    MC

    Hello

1, in which is the external COM port connected? Is detected in a straight path in Device Manager? What is the error msg to Hyperterminal?
When connected via PCMCIA, try to change the settings for PCMCIA slot in the BIOS!

2, try to reinstall the Toshiba Bluetooth stack! There may be some problems. The MS Bluetooth stack does not work properly with the Toshiba devices and one of the earlier Toshiba Bluetooth stack is not signed by Windows XP Service Pack 2!

  • Satellite Pro P300 - problem with volume control

    Hello

I have a problem with my volume control. He worked for the first two months of use value, but now refuses to lower the sound.
He sort of stutters and actually transforms the sound upward when you turn, he 'left' to drop.

I markets DEAMS it is a digital control and therefore is not a point 'end' like other laptops. I also noticed others are experieicing this problem.

Is there a solution to this problem? I don't really like having to manually click on the volume control in the status bar on the window in order to be able to turn the laptop down. Maybe someone can help me?

    Thanks in advance.
    Sam

    Hello

In your case, I recommend reinstalling the audio driver and controls (with Win XP) Toshiba or Toshiba VAP (if Vista is installed).
In addition, you should check if the BIOS can be updated too.

Sorry for this suggestion, but in my opinion that the question must be related software and the fact is that driver sound and the VAP multimedia button controls and the sound card.

It of certainly worth a try

I already have the latest drivers, but it's not helping...
You have an idea? Could this be a problem with my wireless LAN card? What can I do?

Have you tried a BIOS update?
This you will find also on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

You have disabled all the security features for testing?
I mean hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far. Maybe that's the problem.

Check also if the router has the new firmware. You can find it on the site of the factory

I decided to revive my old laptop Toshiba SP 4280 but failed to get the system because he wants me a passowrd initially.
I have tryied to get out a map of Moser for 24 hours battery - but it did not help.
I tried a few passwords backdoor, like Toshiba, toshy99, but it did not help.
I've successfully upgraded BIOS the most recent a 2, 70-TRAD, but again he asks me a password.

Could you help me please with this problem?
    What can I do?

BTW, I can't get into the BIOS Setup and select the source of loading (Hard, FD or CD) because I have to enter a password first.

    Thank you very much!

    Hey,.

Unfortunately, I don't think that an authorized service provider can help you get rid of the password because they have special tools to do and how to do it. Maybe some jumpers must be defined, but I put t know

On the Toshiba Web site, you can find a list of aspic call them and ask for help, all that s! ;)

  • Satellite Pro M70 - problems with installed after Realtek sound

Long story - but due to lack of disk space, my son removed some directories and lost avisnon sound. He seems to have deleted Realtek and Adobe Flash Player.

Have reistallede the two but once installed Realtek there is a sharp wail when the PC is shut down and restarted AND when something is played on iPlayer or YouTube - the image isn't smooth either - very choppy. If I uninstall Realtek image on the iPlayer is good - but no sound. I installed Realtek numerus sites with the same result. The sound is OK on Spotify, for example.

Unfortunately impossible to restore to before that he made the deletion - no doubt, he had no space to make a point of control.

    Thank you

    Marilyn

It strange s I ve idea now what your son removed from the HARD disk, but all the story sounds really mysterious, I mean the Realtek audio driver should not affect video playback or movie that really strange s
A system restore is perhaps the best idea to get this problem resolved

    > but I had to download RegCure - this will come off if I restore
Using the recovery disc disc HARD integer should be formatted, so you will need to download RegCure

  • Satellite Pro A60 Wireless connection problem

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A60 which was connected to our main office using a Linksys Home Wireless - G USB adapt to I can share files and also connect to our connection broadband. The main office is connected directly to a G from Linksys home wireless gateway. It worked fine then for no reason (no settings have been changed or installed software) the laptop does not connect to the desktop or the internet. The software Linksys says that it is connected to the access point, but the internet cannot be found. Even if he says that it is connected I can't get to the desktop.

I tried to set up a dial-up connection independent for updating drivers etc, but after the normal dial tones, he says that it cannot connect to the remote computer.

We tried everything that we think would be grateful for any ideas. Please speak slowly and distinctly also even if I know a little technical jargon computers is a language that I'm not still commonly!

    Thank you very much

    Hello

It's really not easy to say what can be the problem. In my opinion, you must remove all the settings and adapter WLAN Device Manager. Restart the unit, reinstall the wireless card and make a WLAN configuration again.

In my opinion, it is very important to know if the WIFI network of the device works correctly, and if you are able to share files between the laptop and our main office. If it works properly again check the settings on our front door.

One is the problem with Notepad or another device. If someone of your friends has a WIFI at home, you can try to check the laptop WIFI functionality. On this way, you can be sure that if the problem is caused by your Satellite Pro.

If you find a solution please let me know what the problem is.

    Good luck!

Another problem, indicated in diagnosis on a MX200 device tests, reporting problems of NTP. I tried to choose another NTP server - but this does not solve the problem, and it works with TC7.1.4. In addition to the time and date is wrong on the screen but OK on the touchscreen device.

In addition, an error is reported on the OSD settings.

    Do you have advice?

    Thanks for help.

So, what's the problem? You just showed us an INVITATION. What is the configuration of your system? What is the reaction to INVITE him? We need complete diagnostic logs. Is this VCS - C registred? Where VCS - C diagnostic logs

  • Performance on a Satellite Pro A120-185 with Windows Vista problems

Can someone help me with this.
My laptop is a new Satellite Pro A120-185 with Windows Vista.

I had my last configuration less portable, but you know what? He was faster!

I'm supposed to have cetrino duo 2, 2 GHz and cach of 4 MB, FSB 667 MHz, RAM 1 GB, even though they are at 533 MHz, 100 GB 5400 RPM HARD drive / MIN.

It is slow, not only starting, programs opening, plays something, the browser and even to copy from the CD to the hard drive sometimes give me time 4 days left!

Clicking on something takes forever. What's wrong?
Need less to say that with vista no and I mean none, of my devices are busy. Dongle Bluetooth, USB disk, printer, NAS, and and...

    Hey dude,

Please don t forget that Vista has been installed on your laptop and the additional tools of Toshiba and the utilities that control many additional features!
There is a huge difference between Vista and early Microsoft operating systems.

The Vista eat computer resources and many devices old don t work or cannot be installed because the 3rd device manufacturers don t provide Vista drivers!

In my opinion an upgrade to 2 GB ram would increases the performance of laptop.
All programs and utilities could be loaded more quickly
