  I am struggling with this problem for months... the latest version of Eve on my toshiba satellite pro m30 running windows xp with service pack 1 installed gives a message box with an error message when the stop and I'm unable to eliminate this error. Unfortunately, I can't consider reinstall the system from scratch, because there are many other applications installed and I can't lose the settings for them.   For the screen issue. As it is a hardware thing, I suggest that contact you a local ASP. Of course, you can try by yourself to this problem, but I can say from my own, fitting the screen isn't the easy thing to do on your own, if you have no experience in that.

  To clean your laptop from dust, you can use compressed air jet. Also make sure the cooling modules are not blocked by objects on your table, because if you've blocked, warm air ponds and cannot be updated.

  My problem is when I turn on the PC and wait a few seconds red and white vertical stripes begins to appear on the LCD and it cannot go after the BIOS password screen.   I agree with you. It is time to replace the CMOS battery. It is not easy and the machine must be dismantled. If you are not familiar with the procedure for disassembly, it can be dangerous. A small mistake can result with damaging material.

  According to the specification this device doesn't have a DVI - D port and there is no possibility to connect it directly to the unit. This unit video a VGA 15 pins port only. Google all over the place. Maybe you'll find a real adapter.

  I m having problems with my nvidia Geforce FX Go5200, in a portable Satellite Pro M30, (processor Intel Pentium M 1.7 GHz, 512 MB Ram). This card was working fine suddenly the laptop stops.

  I formatted the laptop and installed Win XP PRO. After installing the driver VGA, I restarted the laptop, but black screen started to come right after the Win XP splash screen appears. The laptop continues to start up but no screen.

  It starts fine in safe mode. I get my best screen simply by disabling the geforce card or uninstall the driver. I tried to install a new driver for the VGA on the download from Toshiba site, but same problem appears. I also tried the BIOS update but nothing happens.
