Try to use my BT headset but "detection of service failed.
I try to use my BT (official Sony PS3 earpiece/headset bluetooth) headset for my PC microphone.
I bought a bluetooth dongle that came with the battery of Toshiba BT on the installation CD. I have installed the battery, put my helmet pairing mode and then add the new device.
My helmet appears as 'headphone wireless. When I click Next, it says 'detection of service failed. I installed the latest version of the Toshiba BT stack, but that did not help.A new version was released yesterday.

Problem Pairing device: Bluetooth virtual keyboard (VKB) detection of service failed
Hi, I could use help to determine the cause and the solution to a problem I have. I want to associate this with my Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 keyboard. The laptop has an internal module installed, "Cambridge Silicon Radio, LMP (V: S) 02:0490." I installed the last 5.10.01 (T) BT stack. I have several other paired devices, but this one is the original questions.
The unit is in the discovery as a keyboard VKB (it supports HID and SPP); I want to use the HID profile. In the authentication dialog, the VKB beeps, who is his warning that a PIN can be typed into the unit, but to hit the enter key, a dialog box informs me that "Detection of Service Failed". I've seen similar problems posted on the manufacturer's website, but I have not seen any resolution.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hello
I m not an expert from BT, but if you have several other devices with your laptop coupled, then everything is ok with your Tecra M4 BT stack and the machine.
It seems that there is a compatibility problem with your external virtual Bluetooth keyboard.Either the Toshiba BT stack does not support this VBK and service or the firmware of this device allows a few worries
However, in case I would recommend contacting manufacturing virtual Bluetooth keyboard for more details.
Guys should more known on own products as simple Toshiba here users in the forum.Good luck

Satellite Pro 4260DVD does not detect WLAN CardBus
Hello
I had a problem with my Satellite Pro 4200 PCMCIA, which worked very well with 2 cards different Ethernet but when I tried to use the WLAN, it could recognize only a SMC EZ Connect 2.4 GHz 11 Mbps Wireless Cardbus Adapter (SMC2635W). I'm now running on XP Service Pack 2 and the big question mark is that XP didn't detect all other cards except the SMC a WLAN.
I tried the Linksys Wireless-B 2.4 GHz 802. 11B (WPC11 ver.4) and the generic IEEE802.11b WLAN CardBus card 2.4 GHz/11 Mbps but XP has not yet detected the card. The power of the map light was off and blinked only one time that when I plug. Both cards worked great on my old friend laptop IBM, which is finally older than my laptop. I bought this laptop 6 years ago and never had any problems with the front PCMCIA.
I have worked on this issue with my friend for about a week and we have no idea if this is a hardware or software problem. I first thought that it might be the PCMCIA 16 bits problem but I think that the SMC card is also not the 16 a bit. I did update the BIOS but I don't think it will make all the differences, if I did. Please help me solve this problem that I'm dying to know what really happened. Thank you!
See you soon,.
TRHello
Well, the 4200 Pro Satellite does not for me but I found something on the Sat Pro 4220. This laptop supports PC - Card16 - bit PCMCIA and CardBus 32-bit (2 x PCMCIA type II) or 1 x PCMCIA type III
In this case I don't think that it? s a matter of 16 bits. What you can do is to try to change the settings in the BIOS.
In the "configuration" box, you can set the configuration of the device to "devices".
In addition, in the "PC card" box, you can change the mode of the controller "CCIP compatible" or ' cardbus/16-bit' or 'automatic selection '.Try all the settings. Maybe one of them will be working.

Cannot install Win 8 - Satellite Pro C660 does not detect HARD drive
Hello
My HARD drive died, so I decided to upgrade my Satellite Pro C660 - 1 9 to an SSD.
I made a USB bootable with Win8 and starts very well. The problem is that it does not detect my SSD, so I can proceed with the installation.
SSD appears in BIOS but not in Windows Installer.
He said that there is a missing driver.I downloaded the AHCI drivers (XP, only ones available) and even in this case, after you have selected the only rider that appears, it says no new device found.
I tried to change the SATA from AHCI mode to compatibility mode and it's the same thing...
What can I do?
Thanks for the help.
Best regards
Bruno MoreiraMore old Windows XP need a driver AHCI Intel's but I think this isn't a problem with SATA driver missing because as far as I know Windows 8 as well as Win 8.1 already contains the drivers to recognize the SSD or HARD disk drive.
In addition, the installation of the OS should be possible even if the driver would be added for this procedure, you must use the "compatibility" mode
As you say, the compatibility mode is not working too, so I think there is another problem. However, page driver Toshiba also provides a driver Intel RST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) (Windows 8 - updated) you can try to add during the installation of the OS.
But I m wondering if you would be able to install this Win 8 on common SATA HDD.
Have you tried to format the SSD using a different computer, then install Win 8?
Give it a try. -
Satellite Pro 4600 WiFi not detected
Hello
As I am new to using the WiFi, can someone help me please? Our office has a Wifi environment. Passed on the WiFi system on the left side of the computer.
From what I hear the computer should then register automatically. Nothing happens. Should I change all the settings in my computer? In Windows 2000 Help.Like the WiFi system should also be automatically used when you walk into some of the points of sale restore quick/coffee I wonder where it hurts.
Looking forward to your advice.
Thanks / PeterHello
as a first step, you should check if your Satellite Pro 4600 has a built in Wifi card. Here, you have to look in the device manager - network and search for a Wifi card because some of the 4600 PS were only sold with a praparation of Wifi!
There you can also see if any problems with the place a hard ware.
Then check your network settings for the Wifi card. Go to your network administrator and ask your network settings.
Bye Bob

Satellite Pro L300-291 - Ok on AC, but fails on DC
Does not work on DC. Battery is good appearently (both Win7 and HMONITOR reported as 100% - said HMONITOR there 17% wear, which is consistent with the age) works OK on AC, but do not start or run on DC and 'die' if connector ca pulled.
Win7 detects if the battery is removed and he is happy when he is handed over.
Panel lights are compatible with a battery in good condition - without blinking. This happened after that I put fully powered - off normally let it sleep.
Satellite Pro L300-291

Satellite Pro L450 - 13 M - Webcam driver open failed
I am running Windows 7 with a Satellite Pro L450 - 13M.
My webcam just stopped being recognized by one of the programs on my system. Skype, Toshiba camera etc etc. One day it was fine, a little later when I tried to use it again once it is stopped. I only use it for Skype usually, so I have no weird imaginative bit of software that could get in the way.
Uninstalled the Toshiba camera software, uninstalled the drivers. Reinstalled the software of the camera - although there seems to be about 400 slightly different versions. I think I have the right one. TC30049700E.
Windows 7 has resolutely reinstalling the drivers by itself when I boot. He puts on Sonix 5.8.54.1 driver. If I look at the details, there is a list of 6 files, which look reasonable.
Checked the device manage, who says "this device is functioning correctly. The problem is, this is a lie!
Curiously, the microphone works well (I thought this was an integral part of the webcam).
What I would really like to do is to separately install the device driver, without the software package any camera.
But to be honest all ideas are welcome. It is very irritating and I'm running out of ideas and I'm about to go far company for 2 weeks and I use Skype to talk to my children. I'm kind of semi technically as you can see, but are not fluent, and Windows 7 is new to me. The laptop came with it, and the webcam was working fine when I bought it at the end of February.
Hi tsgcjcs,
At the moment, I can t imagine that this is linked to the new version of BIOS... Usually new versions of BIOS fix problems so I think it was just no chance with the BIOS update and webcam
But if you want an older version of BIOS, you can get it from an authorized service provider. As far as I know, they have all the old versions of BIOS.But before that, try to update the webcam software/driver. First delete and restart your laptop. Then use CCleaner to clean the Windows registry and reboot again. Now, you download and install the latest driver from here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversAs far as I know your model belongs to the series of PSLY1E, then check the page and try this!

Satellite Pro L300 - 297 Doesnt detect RAM
My laptop came with 1 GB of 'slot' alreay of RAM installed and 1 GB of RAM I had to install. It worked well, but recently my computer could not recognize 1 and now control panel displays the computer with 1 GB of RAM not 2. What is the best way to check if both of my slots work? And if I wanted to move to 2 GB or 4 GB in one of the slots, what is the best way to go about this?
Thank you
StanHello
First of all, you should check if the two slits are ok.
Remove a RAM module and test the other RAM module in both memory slots.
If the two slits would recognize the RAM module this means that both locations are correct and that the module is working properly. Then repeat the same procedure with the other module of RAM.
> And if I wanted to move to 2 GB or 4 GB in one of the slots, what is the best way to go about this?
You will need to check if the laptop can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM.
This is mentioned in the user manual. -
Bluetooth - detection of service failed
Hi, I have a Satellite A660 (PSAW3A-07U00R) with Windows 7 64 bit. I've had my Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook 5000 Mouse connected directly to the computer (the mouse has no dongle) and it worked very well.
The other day, that my computer froze (about 1 hour) and I finished having to shut down by pressing the power button. When I rebooted the computer, that he got in the log on screen that stops with a blue screen. Blue screen didn't stay long but was told to try the bios update if the problem persists. That kept restarted and continuing to close with a blue screen and restart (at different stages, but especially after I had logged on to windows) about 5 times before I could get on the internet explore and download the updated bios and install it. The computer t hasn't closed since.
After this saga my Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook 5000 Mouse would not work. I deleted the mouse in the window device connected in the settings Bluetooth Toshiba program. I have that tried to reconnect the mouse, the computer can see the mouse but does not connect to it and pops up with a message "the service Detection failed. I uninstalled all the software of Bluetooth and all the drivers and reinstalled them (Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba - v7.10.10 (T);) Driver Broadcom wireless LAN - V5.60.48.35_DrvOnly; ConfigFree - 8.0.28). I tried to connect in Express mode and custom mode with Toshibas Bluetooth connection wizard. I also installed Bluetooth Monitor - v4.04 and tried to connect the mouse through the windows "devices and printers" add a new device, but still the same problem.
The mouse connects to my computer a friend no problem and works fine, so it s not the mouse.
So my mouse won t connect and I n don't know if it was the update of the bios or windows may be updated itself and pushed all the problems.
Thanks in advance.
Maybe the information about the Bluetooth pairing has been altered. Have you ever tried to remove and reinsert the batteries?

Satellite Pro A210: BIOS upgrade/downgrade to XP fails
Hello
I downloaded the latest BIOS for XP on the Toshiba site, as I lowered the from Vista to XP.
My A210 has v1.70 BIOS (for Vista) installed.
The XP BIOS I downloaded works Winphlash and stop trying to install the current BIOS is different from the one to be installed.
I tried to use the advanced settings, but the update crashes just before writing the new BIOS.
Is there a way I can download a version to install on a boot CD, or any other means of installing Winphlash.Thank you
Paul.I was a little confused m
First on the European driver Toshiba page you will find only in the BIOS for Vista 32 bit OS.
I didn t find a special version of the BIOS for Win XP!
Furthermore the released BIOS can be updated ONLY of the operating system running. You cannot update the diskette or CD!

Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 & Power Saver stop error
Hello!
I am struggling with this problem for months... the latest version of Eve on my toshiba satellite pro m30 running windows xp with service pack 1 installed gives a message box with an error message when the stop and I'm unable to eliminate this error. Unfortunately, I can't consider reinstall the system from scratch, because there are many other applications installed and I can't lose the settings for them. I read the forums and realized I'm not one of the problems with toshiba power saver. I'm even lucky to successfully at startup started it! Yet, it hangs at shutdown. It's pretty boring. also, I downloaded all the latest updates of this site for my laptop, including even the bios update.
I would like the opportunity to be able to download the version without toshiba this site energy saving bug, and I'm sure many other people would appreciate the patch too!
any comment on that?
Andrew.
Hello
If your laptop is installed correctly it should work well. All the software has been tested. The only reason for your problem may be additional software that you have installed later.
It is also possible that it may be caused by an Antivirus application. Maybe an application runs in the background? There are many reasons that may be responsible for this problem.
If you reinstall your Notebook of recovery CD it will not work properly. It is very unjustifiable to write on some versions bug-free. I sometimes have problems with BONES, but almost always after using some freeware.
Good bye
