Satellite Pro L300-291 - Ok on AC, but fails on DC
Does not work on DC. Battery is good appearently (both Win7 and HMONITOR reported as 100% - said HMONITOR there 17% wear, which is consistent with the age) works OK on AC, but do not start or run on DC and 'die' if connector ca pulled.
Win7 detects if the battery is removed and he is happy when he is handed over.
Panel lights are compatible with a battery in good condition - without blinking.
This happened after that I put fully powered - off normally let it sleep.
Satellite Pro L300-291

Hello
In your case, I recommend to check and test the laptop with a new job, good and tested battery.
It is similar to a dysfunction of the accumulator
But of course, it's just a suggestions and I think here in the forum person wouldn't be able to tell exactly what s wrong

Satellite Pro L300-291 - how to get the work of resolution 1920 x 1080?
Hello
Really bad, my old PC and laptop can connect to my external monitor to 1920 by 1080, which is the native resolution of the screen, even made my Xbox 360. But won't my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-291, it tops out at 1680 by 1050 and will not display anything higher. I tried the latest drivers without success. What is a physical limitation on the laptop?
Thank you
Mark
Hey Buddy,
I agree with the user above:
-Check the user manual and
-Check out the features of your graphics cardThen you will find information which screen resolutions are supported and not. In addition, don t compare it with other laptops or devices. Not all laptops are the same, there are different hardware, etc.

Satellite Pro L300 (PSLB9A) - black of blinks twice every time
When I start the laptop, the desktop appears before him completely flickers black twice each time. With computer tech friends, we put our finger on it down to be a hardware problem, then the driver but when I go and download intel driver from the Web from Toshiba to display site [here: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/pro/l300/pslb9a-02k002/download#filters]
but it does not work. The laptop is only 4 months old and I am very annoyed at this subject - also call support Toshiba does anyone know of another option?
Hello
> The laptop is only 4 months old
In this case, you must contact an authorized service provider because your laptop should be under warranty and so repair should be free.Have but before moving on to an authorized service provider you tried to reinstall the notebook using the Toshiba Recovery disk? If this is not the case, check this please!

Need driver SATA XP for Satellite Pro L300
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro L300 Vista.
If I have problems of major incompatibility with Vista I can swap the readers so I want to set up a second hard drive running on XP Pro.When I try to set up the XP he sees not the SATA hard drive. I know that it's because XP does not contain the SATA drivers. Couple of questions
(1) I saw a comment that recommendsto change the BIOS for SATA setting to "Compatibility" and this should work. I tried this but did not find it worked - everyone find it works?
(2) where can I find the XP SATA driver? I crossed the XP drivers for Satellite Pro L300 Toshiba's web site, but could not see any SATA driver.
Thank you
Hello
As to the question;
(1) some notebook models containing this function in the BIOS and some don t BIOS that SATA option. If the BIOS has this option, you should be able to put AHCI Compatible mode. Then a SATA driver won't be necessary but also your SATA function would be disabled and HARD drive might work more slowly. So I recommend to set to AHCI, and then reinstall the SATA driver.
(2) the SATA driver is part of the Intel Matrix Storage Manger. You can include the SATA drivers using nLite software. The necessary files of the SATA driver can be downloaded from Intel here page:
[32-bit (201ko) floppy Configuration utility 8.6.0.1007 | http://downloadcenter.intel.com/download.aspx?url=/17061/eng/f6flpy3286.zip&DwnldId=17061&ProductID=2101&lang=e ng] -
Satellite Pro L300 upgraded to Win8 but I would like to update the drivers
I have upgraded to Windows 8, but I found the Wifi adapter needs to be reset frequently (it seems to be without a cause) - Troubleshooting Windows 8 solves it by resetting the adapter, but I thought there will be a fix for this?
When I tried to update the drivers I found that the L300 is not (in the not extensible or expandable lists)-is the L300 compatible in this respect by another model? Or can you suggest how to update all the drivers of Toshiba for this model.
Thank you
Your Satellite Pro is the model of laptop old enough and not supported for Win8.
It is difficult to find drivers for the notebook not supported models and old.Problem is that if you make the decision to do so anyway you are on your own and can be all just lucky if everything works properly.
> is the L300 compatible in this respect by another model?
It is not easy to give you the right answer. What needs to be done is to compare each hardware component important as chipset, GPU, chip sound, LAN/WLAN with other models and see if some Win8 drivers are available. It is not so easy. For example: Toshiba Satellite pro L300 offers 4 different hardware platforms. One you have? What is the model number of your machine?

Satellite Pro L300 - USB card reader does not support the 64 GB
HI I have a Satellite Pro L300 under Win XP that I want to attach a USB card reader. I find that I can not read the 64 GB cards. The error is that the card is not formatted. All other cards read correctly. I can place this card reader in my desktop running Win 10 and it works correctly and reads the 64 GB cards. This seems to indicate that the USB card reader works properly, and perhaps that the problem lies in the USB on the Toshiba drivers. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix for this. I've just updated the BIOS but no improvement. Thank you

Problem with satellite Pro L300 Ethernet controller
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro L300 (PSLB9A - 02L 001). Have'nt after being on the dial for the year last I was wireless (it worked well before that) but am now back on broadband but I don't seem to have any wireless.
Checked the Device Manager and there is a yellow exclamation next to the ethernet controller and it seems there is no pilot, but apart from that, there is no further details. I tried to update the driver but it cannot find the driver on my computer and it will not search the Internet for this.I tried, but none of the drivers I downloaded seems to work...
At the back of the computer laptop is a sticker - PA3613U-1MPC, I think it's the wifi card that is missing the driver but I can't find a driver for it for the life of me...Any help would be wonderful.
Daryl in New ZealandYou are right. This part number is WLAN Card. I put t know what operating system you use but for download driver Atheros http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads WLAN
I hope this will help.
What is now with LAN driver? Do you need it too?
In any case, visit the Toshiba support page under http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/download and there you should find good LAN driver for your model of laptop.Send comments.

Re: Satellite Pro L300 - screen resolution maximum?
I just bought an external monitor for my L300. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1080, but the maximum available on my L300 is 1280 x 800. The utility Service Station tells me that all my drivers are up to date - is there a way I can increase the graphics resolution? Any suggestions much appreciated!
Details: Running Windows 7 Pro SP1 on a satellite Pro L300 PSLB9A - 02K 002
Hi PeterSouthon,
Need to unlock the other screen resolutions. Simply uncheck the option Hide modes that this monitor cannot display as you can see on [THIS | http://blog.wildvista.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Lightroom_hide_modes-340x400.png] photo.
After unchecking this box, you should be able to use the native screen resolution of your external display.

Satellite Pro L300 - cursor black screen flashing
Hi all
I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro L300 Vista.
The customer earned him in because when it starts it goes to home Toshiba screen then goes to a black screen with cursor flashing at the top left. I connected external monitor with the same result. Swapped RAM as well.
Have run Memtest (spent), Seagate HDD long test (past), Ultimate boot CD and Winternals without success.
* F8 does not work * and no more than the resumption of the plant. Can enter the BIOS F2 and F12 no problems and the HARD drive is listed.
I reinstalled Vista on CD and on reboot it goes back to blinking cursor. I tried booting from the Vista CD repair and system restore. FixBoot commands and FixMbr prompt as well as with the same result.
I feel that it may be a corrupt CMOS sensor? It's like the OS installs correctly, but the computer loses his memory on reboot where the operating system? Is the battery CMOS easily accessible and removable on this model?
Has anyone experienced these symptoms? Is - fixable at lower cost?
Hello
If you have clients, I guess you're a technician and hope you have a few pieces of equipment in your store.
Have you tried to set the BIOS to default settings and check again?
If possible try to exchange the HARD drive and test the functionality again.
You can use laptop with Linux live CD (HARD drive not required)? To be honest that I think n problem t is ORGANIC and, in my opinion, the exchange of the CMOS battery is not necessary.
Please test it with the new HARD drive and post comments.

Satellite Pro L300 - required external power supply (power car)
Hi all
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and want to plug it into my car supply.
The battery is 10.7 volts and the charger is 19 volts. I do not think that plug into the car is causing a problem, but there is no mention of this in the manual.Has anyone tried this and it worked great.
I didn't wan't to recharge the battery just to be able to run the laptop for more than the battery allows.Hello
You need a car adapter to connect the laptop to the 12V car
Looking in google for adapter cigarette lighter for Satellite Pro L300?
To do this, and you'll get some hitsOtherwise, you can order this part of the Toshiba authorized service partner in your country.

Satellite Pro L300 shows ACPI ATK0100 Kernel Mode Driver error
I have a Satellite Pro L300 with Windows Vista and it has been fickle to say the least, making me restart the system several times.
The last two times she since continued to come up with an error message saying "cannot open ACPI ATK0100 Kernel Mode Driver", and I understand that it is perhaps what is originally that there problems later.I tried updating the BIOS, reinstall the drivers and, seeking answers and, of course, reinstall the whole system, but I still get this message every time I turn on my laptop and I really don't want that it gives me the blue screen of death again - please help me!

Satellite Pro L300 - network adapter failure
I was running my Satellite Pro L300 on a Belkin router connected to my DELL desktopsuccessfully wireless, except that sometimes the adapter on the Satellite failed and I had to restart the portable computer to restart.
The other day I decided to reinstall windows XP on my desktop, because he soon grindingly.

Hello
Try this;
-Start the console (in run, type CMD)
-In the DOS window type; ipconfig / renewThis should renew all your network cards and must assign the IP again.
Using the ipconfig command, check if the wireless adapter is listed in the list.

Satellite Pro L300-1AF fails to start
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-1AF that won't start, it stopped working a few weeks ago and I tried startup repair and things, and nothing seemed to work just kept loading a black screen with a cursor but nothing else. After a little more research, I found out how to restore to factory settings holding the 0 key etc. when I tried this he got 54% then the screen everything went black and now it used to boot. It happens with just:
-Unable to start windows. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
file:\Windows\system32\winload.exe
status: 0xc000000e
Info: the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged. He also says to insert your installation disc, but I have not one when I bought it.
-What this means and how can I solve this problem? I tried the factory restore and just make it even worse.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated
Hello
> He also says to insert your installation disc, but I have not one when I bought it.
That's your first problem. This model laptop was delivered without disc recovery but the preinstalled software that allows you to create a recovery media. All this is clearly described in the document s user manuals.
Now, your original Vista operating system has disappeared. On this path virtual I can't say with certainty what the problem is, but somehow, I think the HARD drive's troublemaker. What to do now? First you need the Windows installation for the installation of the OS disc. Original Vista may not be used more so my advice to you is to get the Win7 32 bit install disc and try to install it on your machine. Win7 is entirely compatible, so there is no problem to install all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities.
By default the BIOS settings and try to install Win7. If the same problem recurs and Setup will stop I m afraid HARD drive is defective. If possible, try to get another HDD for testing purposes.
You know you have to play a bit with your machine now and find out what the problem is.

Satellite Pro L300 does not illuminate
Hi all, I'm new to this forum.
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and I've had it for about 2 years.
But yesterday I closed the laptop as usual. But later I went back to it and tried to turn it on. But it does not work. Instead, when I press the power button the LED next to the battery symbol flashes orange/orange 6 times and then turns off.Can someone tell me what it is? I tried to let it load, but that has not worked. The amber light is the only light that flashes. It does not recognize that I plugged in the charger and I don't think that the battery was flat. So I'm angry and helpless right now.
Can someone help me please?
See you soon.
Hello
There are several indicators;
DC, while running, the main battery, LED HDD/ODD.
So I guess the power LED flashes in orange. Right?
This means that something was wrong on the motherboard.
Maybe power supply electronic malfunctionsIn this case, there is no much to do only mobo replacement could help to...

Satellite Pro L300 will not start
I have a portable Satellite Pro L300 and he won't start (in other words the power button and not going not past the first screen).
Works for keyboard, but F2, F8 or F12 will not do anything, I can't here the disk hard powerup but it's like no one is at home. I don't know if it's the motherboard or the onboard battery. The computer is about 7-8 years
Can anyone help.
It s certainly nothing wrong with a RTC battery (as you said internal battery).
The RTC battery can be charged. The unit must be turned on and adapter must be connected at least for about 18 hours.
But I guess that this isn't a problem. The laptop does not start because of a hardware malfunction, but it's hard to say what role may be affected. But you should absolutely consult the RAM modules.
This should be the first step, since the RAM modules are easy to replace. All other parts should be checked by the type of service.
