  I think with SSD, you shouldn't have any problems. I updated my old P500 with 250 GB Samsung 840 SSD and it works perfectly.

  The SSD should be compatible you need to use a SATA SSD drive since the phone supports a SATA controller

  I have a portable Satellite U300 - 13 k which was purchased recently (1 month ago) and has the following problems:

  1. it does not start without power regardless of whether the battery is fully charged or not

  As you already know that your laptop can be upgraded up to 4 GB and you use 2 x 2 GB modules.
  2 GB compatible RAM has PA3513U-1M2G part number.

• Slow startup of Vista on Satellite U300 14 K

  I recently bought this Satellite U300, but it takes about 3 1/2 minutes by pressing the button, until I see the desktop and the sidebar Windows. I already turned off non-essential processes in Windows Defender and msconfig.exe, tried to have the radio Bluetooth and Windows Sidebar disabled, and it has not changed anything. Just on the black screen that shows up just before the office, for at least two minutes.

  I think I knew in fact that is the problem, but I don't have the knowledge to fix it myself if it's here:

  When you start the "Toshiba" and "Welcome" is displayed as it should. But after that, the computer lies on a black screen for about two minutes. Recently, I tried to open the task manager at this point and it was no problem. If I could terminate explorer.exe and run it again, and as if by magic my office appears instantly! So I guess that the explorer.exe process gets delayed just somehow?
