Satellite U305 no electrical power, battery blinks

My U305 powers is no longer in place. If the battery connected or not, light battery blinks and nothing else happens.

Michael

Hallo Michael

There must be a serious problem with electronic control gear. If there is a serious problem with that laptop power supply sends hexadecimal code and this code can help technicians to identify the problem.

I'm afraid of nothing you can do about it, so please contact the nearest authorized maintainer and ask for help.

  • Satellite Pro 6000-> led power failure blinking

    Hello

I recently bought a 2nd hand 6000 Pro for my wife to use. After less than three weeks, he has developed a fault, by which she is being held for so long and then just turned off. This is regardless of the power source - battery or one adapter.

Sometimes it will last 20 minutes or more, other times he'll do it right away - power, two or three seconds and distributed.
Power led blinking (Amber) in a sequence of 8, which gives the error code. 1 being one long blink and 0 being short is: 10001001. Reverse it gives 10010001 = 91 h hex? The research on the net I found that 91 h means "1R5 - E1V voltage is not more than 1.275V when the computer is turned on" so I guess that would exclude the video card and laptop computer needs service?

If it's a case of having to reinstall the video card, it is a particularly difficult task? I found a site that shows how the band down a 6100 and I am happy to give it a go, but if it's the related power then I don't see much sense.

Thanks to all who read this and I value any help...

    Hello

First of all I am very impressed with your PC knowledge and can simply confirm that there is some problem with electronic card. I must also say that it isn't best idea to do something alone. Because of the design sensitive laptop disassembly can be very risky for people without sufficient knowledge or maintenance manuals.

OK if you found the instructions somewhere on the net, you can try, but if something is not the whole situation can be just get worse than before. Because of this I recommend you contact the service. Talk with them and you will see what they say. Ask how much you should pay for the repair.

    Hi mate,

I had a similar problem which stops my Satellite A300 and the power light was blinking. This happens always after 1 or 2 minutes.

I decided to contact an authorized service provider. Technicians control the laptop and fix it for me. The repair took only a few days and it was free because the laptop was still under warranty.

    I hope I could help a bit! :)

    Hello

The power led blinks means there is a problem with the power supply.
I m not very well, but maybe your power adapter is not OK.
I think that the laptop should be checked using the new adapter.

But of course if could also be a problem of electronic power supply on the motherboard. In this case the new AC adapter not help, but in this case to replace the motherboard.

When it is connected to the power supply there is no indicator light it receives a load (however I don't remember if a fire should be turned on if the machine is not turned on...)

Any help or advice to start solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

The power light should be ON when the adapter has been connected to the laptop.
If you don't see anything, then this could probably be an AC adapter problem

Are you sure that your battery is empty?
I mean if the AC adapter would be dead but battery is not empty, then the laptop must always lights up.

On the other hand, it might be something wrong with the motherboard.
If the adapter has been tested and if it works for you, then the problem is more complicated and probably it s associated with the dysfunction of the motherboard.

As you can see it's very difficult to tell what's exactly wrong, we can only assume.
Maybe it's best to contact the local ASP technicians to check the faulty part of s

  • Re: Satellite A100-662 - new compatible battery

    Hello

    I have a satellite A100 - 662.
    The battery is a Li-ion battery / / model PA3399U-2BRS number / / DC 10.8V / 4000 mAh.
My battery is flat. It is impossible to recharge. The charger is ok.
I want to buy a new battery, but I think that this model does not close.
You know a model equivalent and compatible?

Thanks a lot for your answer.

It is quite easy to find information on a new battery.

Look on the Toshiba site, you can search for this type of accumulators.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com => devices & Services-online Options & accessories-online Options and accessories homepage.
There you can choose your laptop (Satellite A100) and you will see all the power options and a list of compatible batteries.

  • Satellite A65-S065 - button Power LED is blue & amber at the same time

1st off I have a S065 A65 and worked well after a replacement motherboard, my fault, he had to be replaced.

In any case, I have the power button LED is blue & amber LED light up at the same time. Anyone has any idea as to what it means, or maybe I'm going into something, I don't know what it is and it should be reset at the back. Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Ben

    Hello

I checked the manual of the Satellite A65 and there I can find information that the Power LED blinks orange indicating the machine is in standby mode. So for me it sounds like that your laptop is in sleep mode.

What happens if you click Start > stop and choose the closing down in the menu drop-down? Normally, the power LED button must be turned off and also the laptop is in sleep mode.

    Hello

You see a BIOS or Toshiba splash screen?
Nothing is visible on the screen?

If this isn't the case, I guess that your laptop developed a serious hardware problem and I think that the parts must be checked by an ASP in your country.
Theoretically, it could be related to memory, processor or motherboard
So first the RAM modules must be verified, and if the RAM modules are ok, then, the technician should follow with processor and motherboard.

  • Satellite U305 S7446 - internal keyboard delivers outdoor work but

I'm having a problem with my keyboard on my Satellite U305 S7446, that I bought in 2007 in the United States. I live in Ireland. It is rarely used agao and 2 weeks, I discovered that my keyboard has become intermittent and sometimes would not work. The touchpad is very well. Due to various problems with VISTA, I reinstalled the operating system and drivers but could not complete the installation because I had no keyboard. I left the PC for a few days, then after you have started upward the keyboard worked. I finished the installation process and the keyboard is arrested again. Via the Device Manager I uninstalled the keyboard and after the next boot it automatically installed the driver but did not remedy the problem.

Then I discovered through frustration that I press the Play/Pause button on the Panel above the function keys the keyboard work again. It's curious me because I don't know if there is no connection between the keyboard and the audio Panel. Lock button starts blinking during the boot process the CAPS, but in the end, the keyboard the more often is dead until I type the above key. Even after obtaining the functionality back he stops from time to time and a pat on the Play/Pause button will restore it normally.

I went to PC world today and they said it will cost me at least 300 euros and maybe more to fix everything that is bad.

External keyboard will work but who wants to keep carrying one around.

    Can someone please help?

    Thank you.

    Hello

This very strange boyfriend s, but to me it sounds like that, the keyboard is defective. I mean normally during installation, the keyboard should work without any problem.

Have you tried an external keyboard that works which means that the internal keyboard is defective.

To check the laptop, you can go to an authorized service provider. On the Toshiba site you can search for one.
Normally a new keyboard isn't so expensive and perhaps you can sent if the keyboard isn't defective.

  • Satellite U305-S5127 - where can I activate the HDMI?

I have Satellite U305-S5127 and I am trying to connect my laptop to the TV via d - sub to I just bought a hdmi cable. I can't get the image on the TV. I installed the HDMI Control Manager, but he always asks me to allow HDMI.

    Where do I active HDMI?

    Hi genije011,

Hmm why you installed the HDMI Control Manager?
According to your assignment, you use a (portable) D - SUB cable to HDMI (TV), right? That means your laptop doesn't have an HDMI port, so there is nothing that you can turn on HDMI on your computer.

I have never this HDMI VGA cable but normally if you have connected the cable for the two devices, press FN + F5 to switch between monitors.

If your TV is also equipped with a normal D - SUB port you should try it without adapter and D - SUB cable only.

  • Satellite U305-S7432 freezes and does not sometimes using Win XP

    Hello.

    I have a portable Satellite U305-S7432.
Initially, it came with Vista, but I reformatted with XP Pro. I have installed all updates up to service pack 3.

My problem is that sometimes when I try to restart the computer, simply, it freezes and does not meet any entry. I noticed that this happens if I close and then open the cover (which means that the computer goes mode sleep entry and returns).

Please note that the splash screen works perfectly well and the computer wakes from sleep fine but then when I try to restart, the computer will simply spend time instead of restart.

If it goes into sleep mode, reboot takes place as planned.

I installed all the drivers and there is no question mark in Device Manager. I've updated the latest chipset from Intel (for the mobile 965) driver as well. Finally, I also tried to add /forceresetreg my Boot.ini file (as suggested: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822624) but nothing helps.

    Any ideas?

It is a series of laptop computers Toshiba us and you should check the Toshiba driver page for available drivers:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_sc_home.jsp

If you will not find XP drivers for this page, then you can try to install unique drivers for Sat U300 since European Toshiba page but I not quite sure if these drivers XP will work on you Sat U305 Mr. but it s worth a try!

  • Satellite U305: can't watch video on the external monitor on Vista with Dynadock

    Hi mates,

I have a Satellite U305 running Windows Vista, I also bought a VGA Dynadock with HP 20 "external monitor.

I have uppdated all Dynadock readers (Audio, video, etc.) to the latest version, but DVD-video or MPEG video recorded with my camera is not possible to look at the monitor extended that in the main screen (laptop computer monitor).

For example, my DVD Toshiba drive works normally on the laptop monitor but when I transfer window extended monitor, Toshiba DVD Player stops to work.
Video does not work on the extended screen.

Is this OK or I did something wrong configuration? Is this a bug? If this is a bug, how to fix this bug?

I'm you worry because I plug a large external monitor to watch a few movies that I can't watch it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Nilton

I agree with the snipe of the user. The dynadock is simply not designed to transfer the enormous amount of data that accumulate to watch movies on DVD.
The USB ports are simply not designed for this
