Save a file opened under PSD in the current folder without prompting?
I'm trying to find a way to save an open file as a PSD (from JPG) in the current folder without me. It seems that it should be so simple. I use CC 2014. Using the Image Processor would work, but it creates a new PSD file. (I tried to modify the imageprocessor.jsx to remove the path, but it did not... maybe because I tried to run the jsx to my office instead of the script folder? I don't have access to modify the original unfortunately.)
So yes, just trying to make an action that does stuff and then record it without requiring any interaction. The closest thing I've found is this script that does everything I want EXCEPT the active document remains a jpg instead of becoming the new DSP. so I end up having to save anyway and the open the PSD again to continue editing.
Save the copy under PSD |
---|
var doc = app.activeDocument; var Path = doc.path; var Name = doc.name.replace (/ \.) [ ^\.] +$/, ''); Var suffix = "-copy"; var saveFile = file (path + "/" + Name + ".psd"); SavePSD (saveFile, 8); function SavePSD (saveFile) {} psdSaveOptions = new PhotoshopSaveOptions(); psdSaveOptions.embedColorProfile = true; psdSaveOptions.alphaChannels = true; activeDocument.saveAs (saveFile, psdSaveOptions, true, Extension.LOWERCASE); } |
Thank you!
Change
activeDocument.saveAs (saveFile, psdSaveOptions, true, Extension.LOWERCASE);
TO
activeDocument.saveAs (saveFile, psdSaveOptions, false, Extension.LOWERCASE);

Then a script, I would like to save in the current folder.
Hello, during a script I would save my. In PSD. JPG in the current folder (I own the CS6 version).
Example:
I have several file Win7: 001, 002, 003...
Text for example my file 001 then I created in this folder of the UN 001.psd.
I would so that when I run my script with a "save under" or no "save pour web" that he carries a copy of this file in. JPG, but in this current folder 001.
The same so pour the other folders. If I run my script from file 002. PSD so the 002. JPG will have to register in case 002 so now...
As indeed the srcipts registered each time a specific path.
Do you have a solution? (I also said that I have a very good level in photoshop)
Thanks for your help.
Learn Photoshop menu file > Scripts > image processor. The plug-in version even better is that you can download and install on the Image Processor Pro web. Once installed you access using the File menu > Automate > Image Processor Pro.

File is not compatible with the current version of Photoshop
"The file is not compatible with the current version of Photoshop" is the warning I get when you try to open a Photoshop file that I saved a few minutes before my computer crashed (Wacom Cintiq complementary, 10 of Windows). I can't open it with any another application either. How is it possible that I can not open a file I just worked with and saved permanently? Is it possible to recover an earlier version of the file?
Hi NonMeek,
It seems that the file has been corrupted somehow.
Would suggest you to run Photoshop as administrator and then try to open that specific file.
If this does not help, you can download this file somewhere and share the download link so that we can try to open it on our end.

When I connect my Ipad or Iphone to my computer via a USB cable, I can open the storage folder without using a password. How can I avoid someone else do the same?
This storage folder are you referring? If you are referring to the film, what happens because you have accepted a trust between the iOS device and the computer. If the device has been connected to another computer, it must be unlocked and establish a relationship of trust as well. If you are referring to something different, please explain.

I'm trying to export server Ubuntu LTS 64 14.04 OVF format and I get the following error:
Export failed: file not found (< path of the VM folder > \autoinst.flp).
It works for my other OS as well as Ubuntu LTS Desktop 14.04. I have a 10 Workstation on a windows machine 7 and 11 of the workstation with the latest patch on 14 Ubuntu LTS Desktop and get the same error when you try to export the specific operating system.
I solved this problem myself. The original virtual machine had its hardware settings pointing to autoinst.iso. She does not have this file and when I ran the error did not prevent the virtual machine to boot the system. I cloned VM and the setting of the material had the floppy pointing to autoinst.flp. I removed this material setting and now I can create an OVF file for it.

I was cleaning some ad/bad/spyware on the computer of a friend. It runs XP Media Center 2005. When I restarted it, it wanted a password. He put never, ever. The only work around was to reinstall XP without deleting any of his files (more than 8000 music files) because it is not anything save. I put the new XP in a different folder, I named. After searching around, all of his stuff is there and I can access, but this new folder is take a LOT of resources/mem. There is almost nothing in this record, I can delete the new folder without compromising each other, installation? I think I would need to get rid of mode safe mode with command prompt. I did it so many times, but it's never happened to me. Help!
Once you get the drive installed, simply use xcopy or Robocopy to copy the files, with a fairly large music 8000 drop these command-line utility will be faster than to try to copy them through the Windows Explorer GUI. Xcopy is integrated with Windows XP, Robocopy is available for download from Microsoft.

Finder: Search in the current folder does not work
I have a folder in my finder 'search in the current folder' where returns 0 results even though I get the names of the files in this folder.
I tried to add this to the honor, then removing it so that its reindexed and I tried to remove finder invisible (and other) files, but that is not worked.
I ca 300 PDF files in this folder. I tried to create the new folder somewhere else and add these PDF here and yet the search does not work.
Someone knows how to fix this?
Greetings eklisiarh,
Thanks for posting in the communities of Support from Apple. I see that there is a folder with about 300 PDF files that you are not able to search through the search option. I know that the research allows me to find just the right file. I'll be more than happy to help.
You did a great job so far with re-indexing of that folder. First of all, to start in safe mode. This will be clear cache files and perform a few system checks. Once in safe mode, see if you can search inside this folder. Here is the article about how to start in safe mode. You can ignore the part where it says "If your Mac does not complete startup".
Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support
Reboot will leave safe mode. If this does not work, try to test this question in a new user and copy the folder in this new user to see if this is a question broad system.

FTP command does not when the current folder is not on the system drive
I have the following problem when I activate FTP from the command prompt when the current folder is not on the system drive.
I have a similar problem when you use a client FTP (ftprush)... It is installed on the D:\ and activation with the startup in D:\ folder reports 10038 (invalid socket handle)... It works fine when the startup folder is c: drive
(MON C:\ est un petit SSD où j'ai mis les programmes opérationnels et les applications les plus utilisées)... my D: drive is a program for non-intensif progs disk)
I have check the environment variables but can't find anything wrong with them, and I never touched at these
Current folder is on my c drive windows :\---> works OK and I can open an FTP site
C:\Windows\System32>FTP
FTP > quit
I change the folder to the very second disc---> broken, the report "ftp:socket" and the existsd.
C:\Windows\System32>d:
D:\>FTP
FTP: socket
D:\ >
I managed to solve my problem by making a
command "netsh winsock reset."
This solves all my problems... including ftprush, filezila, starting the ASP.NET Server in Visual Studio (which also refused to)

My son opened a spreadsheet Excel of an attachment in Windows Mail. He then worked for several hours on the worksheet by pressing the button 'Save' on a regular basis. At no time, he asked for a file name or location, so he assumed that he recorded in the Documents folder. When he had finished with the file, he pressed the "x" to exit. He has not asked if he wanted to save the spreadsheet and so assumed that it had been properly registered. A few hours later, he went to open it, it had worked but could not find anywhere on our hard drive. It will be able to locate a copy of this file anywhere, or it is lost forever? If so, why on Earth don't Excel (or Word etc I expect) not asking you to save the file that you are leaving?
In the future, you will need to save the first attachment in a separate file, then open it and change it. Outlook (part of the suite Office) will allow you to open attachments directly and work on it, and save without problems, but Windows Mail is not part of the office and you can do that without saving the file first.Stevewrote in message News: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy *... I want to add a new application to the list right click on file-> open with
and also reorder the list so my search app is first / top of the list.
I know that I can use open with-> other and select any application, but it takes too long I should use my intended application in this way several times a day.
Basically, I'm looking for a configurable way configure open with, something more to send to Windows.
Thank you very much for all the advice offered.
The operating system, not you, not control that open with the menu command.

How to tell the script that I want to save unsaved files, but not to replace the old?
Hello world
I had this script
docs var = app.documents.
for (var i = docs.length - 1; i > = 0; i--) {}
If (.saved docs [i] == false) {}
docs [i] except (new File("~/Desktop/Document.indd'));
docs [i]. Close();
}
else {}
docs [i]. Close (SaveOptions.Yes);
}
}
Close and save files
But if I have two files or more, I want to save the files as Doc1, Doc2...
the new file will never replace the old
Can someone tell me how I can do?
Thank you
Respect of
Teetan
Hello
The 4th line change as below:
docs[i].save(new File("~/Desktop/Doc" + (i+1) + ".indd"));
