  I use LV 2009 SP1 and you want to create a table 1 d of size control fixed.  The elements of the array are a defined group of different controls (enum and boolean) data type.  Control table will reside on a front panel and will be initialized with the values via the software, but the user will have access to change the values of array element (for example, change the enum and boolean controls.  While the user has access to edit the elements of the array, I don't want the user to be able to add new items in the table.  The table must have a vertical scroll bar, given that the number of elements at initialization of the array can be great and also can vary.  I am familiar with the property of the table "Number of lines", but it only controls the number of visible rows in the table.

  Is there a way to set the number of items per program and still have a scroll for the user to index bar using the table, but not add new items?

  I found an acceptable solution through the reading of other forum posts.

  For others, who may find this useful:

  By hiding the display of array index and all the scroll bars, the table can be fixed to the size.  A separate scrollbar is used for the index in the table by writing to the array of Index values property.  The min/max scroll bar may be limited by writing to the Min Doc, Doc Max properties.  I've attached a screenshot of the block diagram.  The value of constant labeled '# lines visible-1' is on the number of items pulled on the panle front less 1 and remains in control of the table of displayiong of the empty elements that allow the user to change.  Also, even if the Page Size property has a value of zero for the scorllbar, which should allow scrolling of the Min Doc to Doc Max, he does not accept it as a valid value and is instead converted to a value of 1.  I introduced a SR on it's a bug because the LV help suggests that the values zero or negative must be acceptable to the Size property of the Page.

  I think it's the solution to the question, although it would be preferable that the size of the table control could be fixed size affecting a property element.  I'll see about adding this title of suggestion.

• Problem with the Value property node (MacOS)

  Insofar that I tested it, the nodes of property Value (and value (signalling)) do not work under MacOS: value property is a Boolean value, the value (signaling) as a cluster (width, height).

  Even with the Boolean controls, the node does not work.

  Not such a problem in LV 8.6.

  Am I missing something? Is that some 'of use' ? Or just a bug?

  This looks like some sort of problem of indexing with the nodes property as somesort of corrupted installation.  What happens if you just delete the property node and recreate him?

  I filed a digital control and looked at the context menu of the list of the nodes property.  Below value and value (signs) are Visible (which would be a Boolean value) and Xcontrol, that when you bring through the submenus, the first choice is container bounds, a cluster of Width and Height.  If these 2 types of data which are located 2 below in the list match those you found.

  What happens if you take another node in property a few elements upwards or downwards in the context menu?  Fact is happen for other properties, and if so, are thereany properties who agree?

  Here's what look like my property for a digital nodes and I draggged the box up and down to show the natural order of the nodes property.  Notice that I have script installed, so there are a few other nodes property (and the blue box at the top) you may not have.

• Using data from the control table

  I would like to use the data entered in a table to automate volume/sequence of airflow for a test Chamber. As shown in the screenshot of control table, the first column indicates the number of iterations by elements of array in a series of tests and the second data column specifies the length of each line sequence. Entries in the other columns are specific to different valves and specify values set required in the flow meter.

  

  I guess my question is how can I index/assign each column of the table such that the data to exploit the respective valves are obtained in subsequent iterations all acquire simultaneously with data from other components in the order? While I recognize that the solution may be very simple, I searched on through various examples and messages on the tables and the tables without knocking on a solution. The attached .vi allows me to be a part of the series of tests.

  If I understand your question then the solution is actually quite simple. The important point to keep in min is the fact that the Table control can actually be treated as an array of string. You can then use all the traditional table manipulation tools and techniques to manipulate your data as you wish. For example, use the Array Index function to retrieve specific columns and then if you want to spend the individual elements in a column in a loop, wire the table until the loop and ensure that indexing is enabled. If you then want to use these data elements to control your test application, you can convert a portion of the resulting string in more useful to digital.

  All these concepts are illustrated in the attached VI. I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any other questions.

  Here's a quick example:

  

  Make sure you use not A number/path/Refnum? Function, because direct comparisons with for example a diagram NaN constant could give surprising (for some) results. For example, you think you could add a NaN value to the constant table diagram and remove some code, it is not working properly.

  (Of course if you have an older version of LabVIEW, you might not have the conditional tunnel. In such a case, it should be a bit more code in view)

  I am trying to save a table in Photoshop that was created in InDesign for web use. When I save it as a png (cannot save in pdf or jpeg the limitations of our company Web site), the text appears blurred (pixelated?). Is this because the table is flattened/pixelated?

  Is there a different adobe product that can be used to avoid what is happening? The company that built our Web site is a style editor that has limited capabilities. We tried using the website editor for creating tables; However, the Editor doesn't have the flexibility and the ease of use that comes with InDesign. That's why we opted to create the tables in Indesign.

  To download the table in the editor, the file should be saved as a png image, that's why we create in InDesign and then by saving the table in Photoshop.

  Any ideas?

  Yes, export while in InDesign.  Make sure save you it in png-24 format and not a png-8 (transparency).  Also, make sure that you do not have your visible background layer when you save it in Photoshop.  You should see the grid in Photoshop which denotes a transparent background when you save it.

  May I ask where did you download the saver of energy for Satellite P100?

  I assume you want to install utility is not compatible on you P100 and, therefore, it of not possible to install it.

  When you plug the USB-RS-232 converter, it installs a driver under Windows which makes it look like any other RS-232 port.  You may need to install the driver of everything that came on the CD with the converter.  It will get a Com as Com5 port number according to what is the next available number.

• Problem control pumps syringe with LabVIEW 2013

  Hi all

  I try to use a program that was sent to me by a coworker to control 2 pumps to KD scientific syringe using LabVIEW.  The pumps are connected to a Windows 7 computer via a telephone line attached to the pump, which is then connected to an RJ11 to D - type RS-232 converter.  A Hawking Technology RS-232 to USB converter cable connects this converter to a USB port on the computer (this is because our computer has only 1 serial port but we have 2 syringe pumps).  It's the same establishment that has been using my collaborator and it worked without any problem.

  The problem arises when we try to control pumps syringe with the LabVIEW program.  We have drivers for Hawking and KD scientific syringe pumps cables installed on the computer, but our computer recognizes that the cable is plugged in - it does not recognize the syringe pushes like a 'peripheral '.  We can run the LabVIEW program, but essentially, nothing happens.  When we press "stop"button, we get an error message that says: "error 1073807202 occurred when opening VISA in Science KD 2XX series Initializes vi."  In my view, this means that the computer/LabVIEW is not able to communicate with the pumps, even if we have installed the drivers and in the same folder as the program.

  I enclose the program we are trying to run (it's Version 2, it includes the drivers for syringe pumps), the pilot shot of the error message, we installed the cable, as well as a screen.  If anyone knows anything we can try would be much appreciated.  The author of the program has been at a loss because it works wonders on his computer.

  Indeed, I am convinced that the pumps are connected to the correct COM ports.  So I just thought of something... I noticed on the website OR that there are drivers for NI-VISA.  I know for a fact that I have not installed on this particular computer.  Does make sense that these missing drivers could be the problem?  That would explain the error to the opened VISA.  I do not have the administrator rights for this computer so I have to wait for an admin to connect and install the drivers.  I'll give you an update with what's happening.  Thank you all!

  I have a client who wants to use 3 PrecisionHDMC cameras and with the intervention of content to a codec C60, as well as an AMX control system.

  I understand that there may be only 3 video inputs connected to a C60 both, my question is:

  If you want to integrate a bit more flexibility and discreet control, you can add a small matrix of switching in the project (see Extron DXP 44 HDMI) and have then each camera connected directly to the AMX for control. This allows the discrete control, discrete video selection, output preview and the ability to also have a PC or other video source connected (3 cameras and a PC).

  Discrete control is possible with chaining with addressing, but according to the placement of the camera and the distances between the camera the Garland cable runs can a problem and since you have to run the video towards the grid it's easier to run the control back on location as well.

  If you want to use the composting and then the TC console should be used.
