Save documents on drive E. Message telling me not allowed. Help

Tried to do a regular daily backup. Can do only once without problem. Is this a problem of password? Thank you.

Thanks for that, may have helped. But finally the problem solved by sorting the authorization of tasks and the passwords for the administrator. Nothing is simple...

  • I keep getting these messages that do not allow to use a file. What should I change to have privileges for all functions?

    Original title: administrator Win7

I have win7 and IE11 running on a HP 8540p.  I'm the only person authorized to use the laptop - I am the administrator.

I keep getting these messages that do not allow to use a file.  What should I change to have privileges for all functions?

The second file is not cooperating and was not deleted.

"Not cooperating" can mean many different things. A real verbatim error message would be more useful. In the case of locked files, it is often possible to remove safe mode.

  • Error message: you are not allowed to access this resource network

I have 4 computers on a network peer-to-peer (1 x 7, 2xXP 1 x 98).  As of today, one of the XP machines will not display the network when I try to access it through "My Network Places".  He says I don't have permission, but when I serch for computers I can find and connect to all the others on the network.  Also all others can connect to the problem machine.  He worked for many years.  I can access the internet via the router and the other computer without problem.

How can I solve the problem?

I have a partial solution, but would still like to know what could cause the problem.  It worked:

    1. disable Windows Firewall

    2. connect the group to work, and then to a computer

    3 turn on the firewall

    4. use network resources

5 restart the computer and now computers are visible when I click on the name of working group without disabling the firewall.

But the question is "why did - it go wrong, and what I did to sort?

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • P7-1234 HP and hard drive error messages.

Given that my computer was new, the hard drive has the crazy a faint sound of squeaking. The noise became louder place about 3 months ago and I get error messages. I have attatched pictures and a video of the noise. Then, about 2 weeks ago there was a power surge, and since then I've been do a "disk hard dectected or does not" message and a message telling me to check the cables. I check all the connections of the hard drive and disk and everything were ok. Since the surge, the computer is extremely slow, and the cpu load is between 60 and 100 on the first nucleus. carrots in second and third are ok and there is no response from base 4 (without load), and only 3 central units show on the windows Device Manager. I also took several photos with a thermal imaging camera and several components are hot in my opinion way (117-159 * f). Any ideas?

  • SP 2 settles - gives a message telling me that the bios updated to the needs

Original title : Sp 2 downloads ok, but used to install

I have a dell latitude d820 32bits that originally had xp on it,

I installed vista on it from a backup I did on an advent computer (purchased new mine).

I managed to install ie9 on it, but it tells me that I need to install sp2,

I tried to install after the download from windows update and microsoft own website, but always the same problem, I can't get sp2 to install even if ok, it will download

I got a message telling me that the bios needs updating, and my opinion is that, even if the software came the computer still thinks it's a dell and this is the problem

    Hello

    1. What is the full error message?
    2. is the specific question of the installation of Windows Vista Service pack 2?
    3. you receive update of the BIOS message during the installation of SP2 or elsewhere?

    Method 1:
The problem with Microsoft Windows Update is not working
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_update/

    Method 2:
Put the computer in a clean boot state, download and install the Windows Vista Service pack 2 and see if that helps.
    Download here:

    Clean boot:

Note: When you're done to diagnose, follow step 7 in the article to start on normal startup.

    Method 3:
    Update (Flash) your BIOS
The main function of your system BIOS is to recognize and initiate any material that your system is ready to be used. It is synonymous with updating the BIOS of the motherboard to the latest version of "Flash" BIOS. The times often requires a floppy drive must be installed on the system.
Please visit the site of the manufacturer of your motherboard for instructions on how to check the version of your BIOS and tools, that you can use safely update your BIOS.

  • GoBack installed - Invalid Drive! message - cannot initialize

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 with WinXP Pro and 80g drive Seagate Baracuda. Had for years without any problem. About 8 months ago, I must have deleted a CD writing software and could no longer access the CD drive through Explorer or with any Cd/DVD writing software.  Searched the web and found an entry Regestry which can fix this and the CD player began to appear in the Explorer, but as WMP never drive recognixed the CD. I don't know if it's related, but wanted to give you all of my situation. I also started to get this message to start 'not found primary transmission. Press F1 to continue or F2 for Setup. I press F1 and my computer starts very well. I got Goback V4 installed for many years.

The Goback file became corrupt I could no longer boot, as the system remained in the trunk of the corruption of Goback loop because Goback found corruption. I found a recommendation for Goback problems - I need to change the partition type by using a partition editor, which I did because Goback had changed. I could restart and save files by mounting this drive as a secondary drive. A ran chkdsk and ended. Reinstalled this drive as a disc master, started and I went to Control Panel Add/Remove to remove Goback. GoBack said has been removed. I shut down the computer and now I get the message after pressing F1 (same message as above), "Invalid Drive!". It's going to be okay.

I bought a MBR Master Boot CD and entered two Dell specific Partition type and will continue to receive the same message, set the Active NTFS partition. See the diagnostics. The partitions are there. Have no idea on how to go beyond that. I ran a diagnostic MBR run and the diagnosis result file reviewed by someone who wrote that MBR diagnosis and they report that the MBR looks like right. But I still get the "invalid disc!" and will not boot up to Windows Xp Pro. My thought is as the MBR looks ok, the message '"training primary' that I get for quite awhile (even allow me to press F1 and start) won't let me continue. Don't know how to solve this. Any help appreciated.

I lost my phone 2 weeks ago. Now, I received a message telling me to connect to find my iphone, but the link is very weird.

I entered my information it because I wanted to see where was my phone, but nothing has arrived. After that I connected to my laptop and I could go on my account, but it seems that my Iphone (that got stolen) are there any more and I can't locate. What do you think? would it be the thievs who send me this message on my news?

This is because it is a phishing attempt to make you try to open a session, so that they get the powers they need to disable find my iPhone on your device. Do NOT click on anything and ignore it.

Sorry, I see that you were already there and gave them the information. Your device, as well as your iCloud account have been compromised. You need to change your password immediately. Your device is finished now, you will never recover.
