Save the document to the first page

Is there a simple way to define a document when it is saved in a script so that when it is opened in InDesign, it opens to the first page?

My script generates a number of pages, and then saves the document. It always opens to the last page, I understand because it was the last page set. Can I make it open on the first page?

Thank you!

Hello

with (app.activeDocument.layoutWindows[0]) {
          screenMode = ScreenModeOptions.PREVIEW_TO_PAGE;
          activePage = app.activeDocument.pages[0];
          zoom(ZoomOptions.FIT_PAGE);
          }

... and now save it.

    Hello

    If you're using a scanner with a charger of documents and Windows Fax and Scan, you can scan multiple pages into a single file of scanning to the TIFF (.tif) file format. For more information, see:

    If you use Windows Fax and Scan and a flat bed scanner, you can scan multiple images to separate files probably. Not all scanners flat have this ability, so you may need to contact the manufacturer of the scanner to get a driver so that your scanner flat may offer this option.

  • Windows displays only the first page of a multipage document - solutions?

    I recently installed an HP printer on my laptop with the help of a support HP online technician, but only the first page printed - the other eight were empty.

    Also, one-third of the right side of the document (electronic mail) was chopped up, while the leftmost column prints (Windows Live/Hotmail/Hotmail address) in the full preview and printing is not available since I upgraded to IE8 on my laptop HP under Vista Home Premium.

    How do I Center this document so that it will print correctly, and can I add the "Print preview" option in my Google toolbar, or install an another toolbar that includes?

  • LaserJet CP1025: Printing pink spots on the first page of all documents Word and PDF but not Excel etc.

    This printer has had very little use again, last September. This problem started about 2 weeks ago. It affects Word, PDF files and print from Chrome.

    Excel, Publisher and Notepad all print correctly. It affects only the first page of the documentation. Printing multiple one after another - first page only of each doc is assigned along the right edge together about 1 inch wide.

    My office programs are on my school's network. No other users have the same problem and impression on my inkjet at home is fine. My solution is to add a blank page at the beginning of Word documents.

    It seems that it is only this printer is affected, but I do not understand why some programs are affectd but not others.

    Ideas would be welcome.

    Hi @Fortwilliam,

    I see that you are having problems printing applications, the first page has pink spots on the right side of the page. I want to help you.

    It's certainly an issue that you are experiencing. Since it is not done this with all applications. So I don't think it is a hardware problem, but related software.

    Make sure that you are logged on as an administrator and try to print again.

    Download and run the Print and Scan doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically. http://www.hp.com/go/tools > using HP diagnostic tools for printers under Windows HP.

    What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

    If you're still having problems, I uninstall and reinstall the latest version of the printer software, just to rule out a software conflict or the printer driver is damaged. Full Feature software and driver.

    If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the button below the thumbs up.

    If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

    When I export a PDF from Indesign CS6 (PDF1A), the first page of the document is blank.  Why?

    Adobe strongly recommends use of PDF/X-4, which retains direct management transparency and color all the way to the INVESTIGATION period.

    PDF/X-1a is indeed antiquated for any content that uses anything other than CMYK + spot color or transparency.

    All modern PDF workflow software supports PDF/X-4. If you are printing to a PostScript RIP, Acrobat Pro (version X and XI) can print PDF/X-4 of tears (or printers) pretty well.

  • Save form to fill in the first page

    I just inserted an extra page as my first page in my form in Acrobat X.  I would like to save the form to open the first page when the end user opens.  Now, it opens on the second page (which was the first old page).

    This is usually controlled by: file > properties > initial view > open page

    However, it can be controlled by the other parameters. If it doesn't, post again.

  • Print the first page of a multipage document

    Can anyone tell me, when broadcast a mutipage document printing (in my case a book), how get the first page to print on the right side of the paper?

    At present, all pages except the first print normally (e.g. left and labor right pages side by side on a sheet of A4 landscape). The fist page print however centered on the sheet when it should be on the right.

    I can't add additional pages in the face without messing the page numbering. At least I can but it's embarrassing.

    I've looked through the print dialog but could not find something here that helps.

    Any other ideas?

    I print on an inkjet Canon off ID CS3.

    That's how...

    Add a blank page was completely defined on an even number, and then start a new section and renumber the first real page.

  • Start numbering pages on other than to the first page

    I'm on a 2009 MacBook Pro, Yosemite 10.10.5, with Pages 5.6.1

    As a novelist, I start each document with a title page, followed a warning of fiction page. The real story starts on page three.

    I need to start my pagination with 'Page 1' on page three, but have been unable to find a way. [It was so simple in Word...]

    You will have a separate section for your title page, your warning of fiction page, and then a third section to start numbering pages at 1.

    When you insert a page number in section 3, it will be to see the 3 pages. You visit the toolbar of the Document element and select the tab of the Section from it. On the tab of the Section you want to uncheck Hide on the first page of the article if it is checked and in the numbering of the Page, uncheck the box continue on the previous article and set at: 1.

  • Printing moved on the first page printed with C309G

    I bought a HP all in one Photosmart Premium (C309G) today, it seemed a valid upgrade to my aging Photosmart 2410 for print and copy every day.

    However...

    It's something that I have not been able to resolve or explain so far. The first page that is printed is moved from 10mm to the bottom of the page, all others print in the correct position. This is also true of photocopies, if I do a duplicate from the front, the first page is moved to the bottom while the second page is in the correct position (only one face is also moved).

    HP had me install the generic of 550 c driver, and does the same thing, except that it prints the first to the last, the first page of the document is assigned, while the pilot C309G print name, so the problem presents at the last page with that. In fact, which is very useful because it is a simple matter of most of the software to add an additional page, in white (although wasteful).

    My Laserjet 1022N, nor the C309G reported paper size available in the properties of the printer (Win XP), but both shows correctly in the driver settings. The Laserjet printer does not display the move, however. The pilot made 550 c display available as A4 paper size, but moving.

    I'm stumped at this point. HP tried to blame the software I print since then, but this is partly because they have not read what I said correctly, IE I explained I could fix by adding a blank page in Word, WordPerfect, Corel Draw etc-, but that I couldn't do when printing from Firefox or Outlook, that display the same questions.

    My feeling is that the printer is not been properly initialized for the first page, perhaps to be told that the page size is to the letter instead of A4, but it's just a deep feeling. There is no setting that I can find on the printer itself to set the size of paper, other than from the region, which is set correctly to Europe. With the scanning, I offer myself as a paper size A4, no letter, so he seems to indicate that the printer is configured properly.

    Use the 6 x 4 built-in photo paper tray, the images are correctly, so another thought I have is the rolls of paper collection is a malfunction in some way.

    The device is normally connected via ethernet (cable), but I also tried USB without any difference. I uninstalled an reinstalled the drivers (I use just the base driver package).

    Any thoughts greatly appreciated that it has left me speechless.

    Thank you.

    Rik

    Kudos to HP support, after 48 hours of trying everything they could think, they proposed a power cycle, and cured the issue. I was able to identify the cause of too, whenever I have install the drivers on another machine on the network, moving is recurring. So, now I just power cycle after each installation.

  • Create a header ONLY on the first page

    How can I create a document that has only a header on the first page? I tried everything, including Page breaks, which don't work. All I want is to create a fundamental part of the "header" where a logo only appears at the top of the first page and does not appear on any other page but I can't figure out how. I use Microsoft Office 2010 on Windows 7. Help!

    Select different 'First Page' option, and all customizations made to the header/footer on the first page will then apply and not on all subsequent pages.

  • New Windows 7 pro machine always prints the first page in a direction, but all other pages are printed in a different orientation

    We bought a new PC for one of our employees that is running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. We have several printers throughout our office area. There are three printers that this person will print to the two Ricoh printstations and a Brother Laser printer. Any printer that employee uses printers still print the first page, a focus on the next page and all other pages in the other direction. The first page is always printed in the opposite direction of whatever orientation has been selected.

    If it has a four page document and select landscape as the orientation, the first page prints in portrait orientation while the other three pages will be printed in landscape. She can go back and print the document again and all four pages will be printed in the right direction. This happens no matter which printer she uses, as well as any program (Word 2010, Excel, Adobe, web pages, etc...). Any suggestions?

  • How to customize the pagination so that the first page (which is actually a cover sheet) is ignored and the second page is numbered on page 1?

    I'm working on the creation of a document that will be printed and bound as a book with comb-binding.

    The cover of the book is the first page of my PDF document. Because this first page is the cover, I don't want that it counted as a page for purposes of pagination. Basically, I want to configure so that paging starts with '1', but it starts from the second page of my PDF document.

    I'm using Acrobat 8 Pro. I've been fiddling with the menu of the header/footer page, but so far without success. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

    Well, after having thought about it some, more I realized that there is a simple way around this!

    1 remove the cover page of my document

    2. Add a page numbering

    3 Add again the front page and do not update the footer

    I was driving myself crazy trying to find a way to do it!

  • To clear all pages after the first page

    Hi all!

    First off I use Adobe 9 standard v9.5.5. Some information about the document: it opens on a single page that contains several fields and four buttons. Two of the buttons submit the document to e-mail addresses. One touch, add another, creates a new page based on a hidden template and mostly reflects the first page. It seems the same but only replicates a button; Add another. These three buttons work exactly as expected.

    Low and this is the fourth box, that's what I'm stuck. Essentially, I want to reset the entire document. This means that the fields at page 1 of compensation and the removal of all pages having engineered if the user click on the button Add another. Not for the life of me I can find a thread that helps.

    For all those who read this; Thank you!!

    This code will do:

    this.deletePages (1, this.numPages - 1);

    this.resetForm ();
