PS 2015: Major color change, "Export as" vs "save under".

All started to use Photoshop 2015, and I see a change in color, terrible when I use "Export As.... "in JPEG or PNG format.  (Same thing with "Quick Export").  (See image below)

I have experimented with changing the color settings, color profile, etc., but nothing seems to change.  "Save under" seems OK, "Export as" looks dark and crappy.

Anyone got a glimpse of this?

BadColorExport.jpg

It was also a problem with an active extract and continues to be a pain to work around with generating assets. Apparently, Adobe is not imagine that we use color profiles in our workflows and so export fails to include the option in one of these new paradigms. It becomes more frustrating...

I just can't save as jpg with #fffdfd.

Why some colors and some not? Is this a bug?

    Window7 64 bit, Photoshop CS6

Save for devices & Web will remove some color from the file data.

Browsers are not color management. Most of the formats of file on browsers assume they are sRGB. While Photoshop gives you the possibility of incorporation sRGB color space of a document, it also strips data that are not relevant. It is a common phenomenon.

PNG - 24 on the other hand will give you the exact color matching.

In addition, save for W & D, JPG quality questions a lot - the same color quality 10,20,30,40, 50... 100 wil give you reproductions different colours on the output end JPG.

If you are concerned that much on an offset of +/-1 hexadecimal value of RGB color space, do not save for web & devices. Do a "Save as" instead. Then use an image editing / application like ResizeMe resizing to resize the quality of your document. This, in most cases will retain information colourspace but just drop the resolution and quality of the image, giving you a smaller size.

  • color change, using export to JPEG

Hi, I know this question has been asked before, but I still don't think I have an answer that helps me.

When you export FIRST in jpeg formats and embed the SRGB colour profile, I feel a change of major color of red and blue. Blues change a considerable sum. I use Win 7 and all the color of the managed applications, I have a high range in color RGB LED LCD computer dell laptop screen calibrated with a spyder 2. The only way I can maintain about accurate color is actually use the print screen key, paste into paint, then save in jpeg format.

What is the difference between using this method and exporting LR2? I can not work out, and obviously very frustrating holding export photos using paint. Paint just isn't built-in SRGB profile or something?

    Any help would be appreciated.

So in order to meet the majority what to do?

Export to sRGB with embedded profile. Saw vs not having is not the embedded profile won't hurt those without color management, but will help those with color managed and calibrated browser screen.

What happens if I do not embed a color profile?

    See above.

Why my jpeg SRGB seems so bad on a color managed application not

Because you seem to have a range wide screen (which follow, by the way?). Wide range monitors a different longer than sRGB monitors of the standard range, so the result is worse. The closest in sRGB, the lower the negative effects of management do not color on the web.

Those with a wide range of monitors absolutely needs to have a color managed browser and a screen material calibrated to web browsing.

That you view in QuickTime Player or something else? Try to view the video in VLC or even importation in first. If the color seems normal in VLC or first while you see the age-old bug "QuickTime gamma shift", which is not really a change in gamma (or at least that is my understanding), but it's what most people call it.

Check out this thread if this is what actually happens: H.264 gamma shift/faded colors on export

  • Color change in the exported sequence (Premiere Pro)

Short description: colors in exported from first and downloaded movies on YouTube do not match the colors of the source that were imported in the firstimages.

Background: I use tool of digital color meter from Apple to read the colors on my poster and Apple Preview to display image (PNG) files.  To eliminate the effect of color profiles, I put my 'Generic RGB profile' poster (which, as far as I know, does not change the R:G:B values).

Description: I made a sample consisting of a single color animation and exported an image as image file.  Such color as displayed in my animation software, that's what I've specified (R:G:B): 255:0:255, as it is in the exported image as seen in Premiere Pro.  However, if I export a MOV file in Premiere Pro, upload that file to YouTube and play, the color is: 251:0:254.  Also, if I open the MOV file in QuickTime Player and export an image, the color in this context is 251:0:254.

Question: what causes this color change, and how can I eliminate it?

N.B.: This isn't 'gamma changeQuickTime Player' (at length elsewhere).  The color as read in QuickTime Player is 242:13:207 - a large and easily visible difference and who does not appear in other players MOV (ex: Player Flip).

    I JUST DISCOVERED SOMETHING!

I was testing my single color sample. MOV file on different browsers, and I noticed that he had a slight color change between when YouTube first loaded (Chrome browser) video and when he played.  When I stopped it at the first point loading and read the value of the color, is 255:0:255 - just what I wanted.

I now believe that the video I'm generating is correct and YouTube does not alter the video as part of the Uploader, but it changes in reading it.

    So, I'm done.

  • Colors changing when you export files HAVE in InDesign

    Hello

Since the upgrade of CS6 CC last year, I think my profiles color or something are put in place bad between CS programs. When I'm working on a file in Illustrator (RGB) and then place it in indesign, as soon as I export the PDF the colors change. For example, a series of gray tones will be released as blue and bright orange. I'm not clued up with the settings of all programs and the inner workings, but I've never had this problem before, I've never had to change all the color settings, so think, need a new default setting I don't know.

I understand there are a many settings that could do that. I export the PDF RGB file too, but I can't see a likely switch to CMYK. Is anyway to reset all the settings back by default so that I can at least try and get the settings I usually use with CS6.

Don't know what to do... any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

Your Illustrator color settings is a problem. Choose 2 North America prepress of the parameters, which will assign sRGB to new documents and allow you to assign a profile to the existing docs. You can also consider to synchronize all your Adobe applications through the bridge Edit > color settings.

As test try to synchronize your color for North American prepress settings, create a new document, place the file I and export with the output parameters in my first post.

If you are tweening text, select the text > click Modify > break is > change > to break.

then, you can tween the text (which is converted into forms twice using 'split').

  • Color changes during the recording of the PSD to JPEG

    Hi all

When I export the image below of psd to jpeg color changes.

    The rose becomes Purple!

    2016-08-27_22-47-24.jpg

    Any help would be appreciated

Just to be absolutely clear on this point - the problem here is that the file is in ProPhoto RGB.

Windows 'Photos' isn't the color management and cannot represent a ProPhoto file correctly. No more than any other application without color management.

Convert sRGB. It is the right answer to your question (which is the error of the very common beginner, BTW).

In Photoshop, go to Edition > convert to profile > sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1.

If you're Using "export as" or "Save for Web", just check the box convert to sRGB.

  • The objects will not retain any color defined when the surrounding objects have their color changed

Just Illustrator CC 19.0.0 was downloaded to me. When I place a line and then set its color, close objects can also have their color changed. This includes the items in the file of until I added the line, not on the same map-art objects. It is not universal, nor is it compatible. Objects already in the file are perhaps there for months, but a change is close will change their.

The Illustrator files can still be an earlier version, and there were a number of illustrations that had black lines and text to white turned a few months back. As these illustrations are for a book, being unable to guarantee that the colors will stay together long enough to complete the illustration and export it tends to make unusable Illustrator for tasks of editions. I hope that InDesign and Photoshop do not have the same questions!

    nwjh,

You must update to 19.1 (or 19.1.1 for Windows) or 19.2 (lattethe has some problems, then you can start with the former).

If 19.1 (or 19.2) does not appear, disconnect and then reconnect the creative cloud application. After that, the 19.1 update must be visible in the creative application of Cloud.

  • Lightroom 3 and CS5 color change when recording to JPEG

Desperately need help on this one...

In a nutshell if I use lightroom 3 only and print the images printed images are exactly the same on the screen - so I guess the calbration of the screen is correct.

If I use lightroom 3 and export to CS5 to continue to make adjustments more when I save the image in jpeg, it seems to have saved well. However if you then maximize the photo in full-screen colors change - radically. Basically, they look aweful. They become quite dull and lose it saturation settings (which were made originally in Lightroom). They print this much too.

It drives me crazy. I don't think that it has nothing to do with the calibration because it is OK when just using LR3.

I played with it quite a bit to try to find a solution and have found that if I export for CS5 and Lightroom makes no changes to the photos but just save - she always changes the colors

Sorry - if it makes a difference... may not, but I have not exported from lightroom for CS5.

Everything I do is select the right click, click on edit in the > Adobe Photoshop CS5.1...

Then in CS5 it opens and appears exactly the same as in LR

From there, I click on file > save under > Jpeg formats and there is an another labeled checked - ICC profile: Prophoto RGB (not really sure what it is and there is no other options to change)

I tried to show a difference in color by joining the photo.

Photo right is edited in Lightroom. These colors are what you see when it is maximized on screen and the colors print correctly too. This photo has been open and then in CS5 (photo left) (with LR adjustments) and saved as jpeg and you can see how to change the colors. But you do not see the change unless the screen is completely optimized - and she that prints a lot too.

I don't know what to do someone had similar problems?

    LR3 and CS5.png

Yes.  Had something similar last night, but with LR 4.1. I suspect that we each have a color profile mismatch, although I had no time to solve my problem yet.

My first thought is that the native LR color space is Prophoto default, but PhotoShop must have its 'working color space' specified by the user.  Unless Prophoto is specified in PS, there will be differences in color on a Prophoto image scale (sensitivity) of color-travel will vary from one image to the opening image.

To change the workspace in PS, pull down the Edit menu and select "color settings".

Don't forget to check the box to inform you and ask how you want to handle the inadequacy of the color profile.

As the previous poster said, prophoto is a bad choice for the use of the web.  probbaly the most commonly used color space sRGB is relatively low

    Good luck.

  • Automation of color changes w/Actions?

    Hi all

I'm trying to understand the best way to implement files.  I create a range of products where each item (Wedding guest) has 25 color options. I want to have thumbnails of all the colors online so that when they click Turquiose it shows in this color.  I use Illustrator CS2 to create vector illustrations and have a color palette with my 25 colors.  Is it possible that I can create a design, then be able to click a button to have it create layers with a copy to each of the colors?   Ultimately I bring the graphics into InDesign for layout of text, so I am open to options with it also.   Any ideas on automating the process would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

    Christine

Given that you'll build the web page in a web design program, simply build the illustrations in Illustrator and export the images to a raster format.

    1. turn the static elements of the work on a single layer.

2 put the changing elements of the work on other layers (one layer per color).

3 file > save for Web. Select the desired format (ex: transparent PNG). In the tab layers, turn on the export as CSS box layers. Each layer is exported as a separate image.

  • Background color changes when you save a theme

Just did a new install of Windows 7 Home Premium and has found that, when I save a theme, the background color changes from black (what it was worth) to white. Another thing to note is that when I save the generic theme "Custom Theme" (meaning an unsaved theme) remains, and the background color in the registered theme is changed and does not change when I click on the "custom theme". This is a new installation, so the only software that has been installed is video drivers, network cards drivers, the drivers of the antivirus and sounds. I've used the System File Checker, and he found no problem.
