Saving a scanned document.

Hello.

I have a HP ENVY 4502 all-in-one. When I scan a document to a HP Pavilion 15 laptop, the document is saved in parts. I'm scanning my high school diploma and it breaks it into 11 saved files. The same thing happens my CV to a page of digitization? Any help is extremely necessary.

Thank you

Mike M.

Hello

Please scan them DOCUMENT, not photo (or image), that will put all in a single pdf file.

Kind regards.

  • HP C6280 All in One Printer: unable to save the scanned document of multi page as on the single Document using the Preview on IMAC computer

I recently reinstalled my drivers on my IMAC computer to correct some strange characters appearing when printing from Microsoft word via Parallels.  The relocation at this time and the time has fixed this problem.  My most recent issue is not able to save a scanned document of multi page into a document using an excerpt?  In the latest that I had to do was high brightness, scanned documents to be saved and presto, all were saved under one.  Now you have to go save each of them at a time.  If you have a 5-page document, you need to go through the registration process 5 separate time create several documents, which is a big waste of time.  I have also my C6280 DPL 100 size should be a problem, I think.  To correct even any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @RGrantB3,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I'd love to help you analyze documents several pages in a single file. When you scan, you select PDF as the format scanning? When you select the PDF file, you should see an option to select, save all pages in a single file, or a variant of this option.

If you do not see this, please post a screenshot of you scanning settings for I can visually identify the issue.

  • Can I combine all pages of a document of several page, in the end, only really scanned document?

    Hi all

I have a HP Officejet 6500 a Plus, which is a combined printer/copier/scanner, I have attached to my 19 HP all-in-one computer, Windows 8 operating system.

I often use the scan function by scanning a document which will then automatically be saved in My Documents directory under the default name of 1 Scan.

I hope that there is a better way for me to make the following about the scan function.

For example, if I have a several page document, let's say, for example, that it is 3 pages, I will, to start, open the top cover of the HP Officejet 6500 has more scanner and place of the first page on the document table, close the lid and press scan. Then, I wonder if I want to pdf or jpg. I'll usually choose the pdf, and after a few more questions, here, this first page of my document will get scanned and then recorded in the Documents directory under the default name, 1 scanner. Then I take the page 2 of the document and follow the procedure above, this 2nd page to finally be saved in the Documents directory under the default name, Scan 2. I repeat the foregoing for the 3rd page, in order to have ultimately recorded in the Documents directory under the default name, Scan 3.

Now I have 3 different files, they being 1 Scan 2 Scan, Scan 3.

Currently, if I want all this email to someone, I need to join all 3 files in my email. Thus, I charge the receiver with duty open 3 different files attached, i.e. the 3 different fasteners files named 1 Scan 2 Scan, Scan 3, if he or she wants to view the 3 full page document.

Is there a better way that I can use my HP Officejet 6500 has more to be able to put all 3 pages in only 1 scan, so suffice it so send an email to only 1 file attached, so that the receiver will only be required to open only 1 file attached in order to see the 3 different pages of my document?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

    Best of all,
    James

Find the document every time you saved it.

    Double-click it to open it.

Use the file > print the operation of the application in which the file opened for printing.

If the file does not open when you double-click on, you will need an application that understands the format in which the scanner saved the file.

When you scan a document, the scanner usually creates a graphic file, often in tif format, but other formats are possible (e.g., somefilename.tif) or Adobe portable document format (for example, someotherfilename.pdf).

If the file created by the scanner is a pdf file, you can open it using free Adobe Reader software is also free, but smaller and faster FoxIt Reader .

If it is a graphic image, open it in MS Paint. Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or - much better - freeIrfanView .

  • Save the scan document to Microsoft Word

I can't change the settings of Microsoft Scan to allow saving a document as a Word. doc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello rcohan6168,

As your question relates to Microsoft Word, you will get a much better response if you posted the question Word Forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/word?tab=Threads

As far as I know a scanned document is automatically saved as a .bmp or jpeg. This is because the ' scan ' is in fact a photograph of this document after scanned by your scanner. I could be wrong, but I don't think that you can actually save the document as a .doc file - well not unless you actually cut and copy the .bmp/jpeg file into a word document, and then save.

However, the above is only my thoughts. Try posting the question in the forum of Word and see if someone else can give you more information.

This forum post is my own opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinion or the opinion of Microsoft, its employees or other MVPS.

  • File type by default when you save a scanned document.

Currently when I scan in the documents to be saved in synergy (programme of work) I have to manually change the type of file to PDF format.  Is there a way to default showing all files when you save a scanned document?

That would be a question of support of synergy. Or through their documentation.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 won't save scanned document

I've updated to Mac OS Sierra 10.12 and I can't save a document scanned from my office. It scans the document ok, but the "Save" button is grayed out.

I can scan and record directly from the parser.

There is no driver listed on the HP website for 10.12 - the latest driver listed is of 10.1

    Anyone know how to fix?

I have a MacBook, which is still under El Capitan and it works very well as my Mac did until I updated the operating system. I also note that Sierra is not on the list of OS for this post.

Update on my problem - I discovered I can save the scanned document using the Print - command, function.

So I guess this will fix itself when HP to produce a new printer driver for this OS.

  • When I scan documents with HP Photosmart 7510 ADF, how can I stop the pages to be marked?

    Hello

    I use a HP Photosmart 7510 (model No. C311a, product no. CQ877B)

When I scan documents using the automatic document feeder, they are more often (80%) marked left.  It seems to be caused by the wheel which initially grabs the book.  It provokes a black spot of the width of the wheel to be left on the page.

The mark appears about a quarter turn to the bottom of the page and is about 1/2 cm in height, but is very sensitive.  Sometimes, another brand is left a little further down the page and sometimes these two brands are accompanied by a very reduced, but still noticeable grey banner (again I believe caused by the wheel).

The brand is very visible not only on the scanned now but also (of course) in the pdf file that result, and since I'm on this printer for things like job applications, it's not big.

Other people know about this?  If Yes, is it possible to fix it or must return the defective printer?

    See you soon,.

    Hello silverShnoop

Such problems can sometimes be caused by dirty rollers or the parts of the ADF (automatic document feeder). The following instructions (whereas for a different problem) contain instructions for the cleaning of the AAD.

The ADF (ADF) captures no paper

There is another article that could help as well. It contains instructions for cleaning the scanner glass.

  • Photosmart premium C309g-m: lack of disk space when scanning documents in pdf format for PC

When you try to scan documents to pdf format on my computer (connected via a wired network), including multiple pages, the throws of sweeping to the top of this error message 'More disk space - remove unused files to free disk space' the error code below is 4, [(3,11,0)].

I seem to be OK with a single page at low resolution in B & W - 150 dpi but not more than a few pages to this resolution, or even a single page to a higher resolution and the error message is thrown upwards and will not save the file. Clearly I'm not memory hard drive because there is a lot of space and I tried recording on multiple disks.

If I scan everything straight to a USB stick plugged into the printer it works OK but scan documents as a picture and crops, more it only scans one page and then save it.
