• HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Printer leaves black lines during copy and scan from ADF

  I know this question has been asked several times, but whenever I try to copy or scan from the automatic document feeder, it leaves black lines on the copy (with the document on the works of glass like a charm).  I've read through the forums and have tried the advice to unplug the machine and so on, but none of these suggestions work.  Any help would be appreciated.

  I see that you have some problems with a line when copying from the document on your Officejet 8600 Premium feeder e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. Get a little water and a lint cloth.
  2. Open the left upper part of the printer, where the document since the charger goes into the printer. It should open up as you opened a book.
  3. With your damp cloth wipe the rubber stamp, the rollers in the cover and the casters on the bottom of this section.
  4. Again open the left side of the printer, as you opened a book.
  5. With your damp cloth, wipe the rollers, you will find inside this section.
  6. Close the upper sections of the printer and open the flat section.
  7. With your damp cloth wipe the rollers and the white bar you see on top of the printer
  8. Clean the glass on the left side of the printer.

• Cannot open a scanned fax and scan document

  I can't open a scanned document by double clicking it.  By default the video Windows Photo Gallery Sample folder opens, but there is no scanned document to open, just three video files of specimen.  I can 'open with' Windows Explorer using other programs, but not using Windows! Can U help? I use Vista Business on a Dell Dimension E521 PC. I have Outlook 2007 installed and works great! I have a Logitech headset and it works fine also. I can and make calls via Skype without any problem (I can hear them and they can hear me!) and I can make calls from Outlook 2007 to my contacts and I can hear them fine but they can't hear me! Any idea what the problem may be? Yes, I have all the updated drivers etc and Vista is set to download and install updates automatically. Thank you.

  What is the file extension of the document or file you want to open?

  You may need to uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / view, see a file extension.

  Panel\All Control Panel programs control Items\Default, see also "associate any type of file or Protocol with a program.

  What type of equipment (what is a Modem) do you use to make a call in Outlook.  If an internal or external Modem via a Modem?  You can try another Modem?

  Thank you for becoming a member of the HP Forum. It's a great place to get help from the community, to get suggestions and find what has worked for others.

  I understand that you are facing problems while scanning / copying using the ADF. Please, try the following steps to resolve this problem.

  1. Make a blank copy using the ADF. Ideally, you should get a blank document with the two vertical lines.
  2. Keep the page out on your dish / the main scanner bed facing you.
  3. Follow the line or streak on the paper to the box on the ADF glass is the origin of the problem. Carefully clean the thin "strip of lid of scanner ADF white' and 'the band glass ADF Scanner' with a damp lint cloth.
  4. See the figure below. 3 is the glass Strip ADF & 2 is the white cover ADF scanner.

  

  These measures should be the case, I would like to know the results.

• How to get rid of the black lines on the printed and scanned documents

  When I print, copy or scan on my officeject 6500 wireless I get a black line to the bottom of the page.

  While I wait for your answer, I'll post the most likely cause:

  Lift off the cover.  Now lift the document feeder cover, it opens to the left. You will see the mech feeder, you want to raise that to the left as well, it will increase by 2 inches or more. See this article from underneather glass it? Clean it. Really good.

  Then see you the white piece of plastic above the glass, which clean really good too.

  If it is a perfectly vertical line, in that it's probably caused by some dirt here, what is happening is the seat of bulb scanner in one place, the paper is then slipped over in the same place. If there is a grain of dust, it covers the entire page, top down. You clean the white room because there might be dirt there, when the bulb shines through the paper, he thinks returned as a dark spot.

  When sending e-mail through the printer scanner, I have a purple line which appears in the scanned document. Scanning is done from the "feeder ' ' the printer and not the glass.

  The windows were all cleaned.

  I did the test and digital printing of the "feeder ' ' and I have no lines for printing!   I did update the firmware of the printer and I still have the same result.

  The small windows of the charger scanner had a small red above mark.  When the analysis has been done and sent on an e-mail, the line shows as it is scanned were made with the color scan option.  If I print the line doesn't show because the printer is not color!

  Scanning using an ADF? Most likely, there is a stain on the scanner glass, try cleaning the glass with a piece of lint.

  If that does not help the problem, a sequel to the above listed link I would do a hard rest is: while the printer is on, pull on the power cord to the printer and the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to the wall and printer. This will trigger a 'dirty power upwards' and restoring the printer to a State well known (if possible). No user settings are lost with a "hard reset." I'm pulling directly the instructions for this process of a hardware instruction guide. I'm sticking to it would have shown here Word for Word. • How to change the color of a scanned document writing and make the background transparent

  I'm a newbie using Photoshop elements 11 and tempting - without success so far - to edit a document, I have scanned so I can upload it to a custom fabric printing service. I already scanned a handwritten recipe in color .tif format (which seems black and white, because the original is written black on white background). I also resized the image of 14 "x 23". I need help is:

  1. I want to change the color from black to red writing (specifically in the hexadecimal code cd0303).

  "2. I also want to add a border of 2" wide solid color in the same red around the 14"x 23" the recipe image (so the final image will be 18 "x 27".

  3. I want to make the background transparent instead of white recipe and to make sure that the background remains transparent when I download the final image to .png format printing service so that only the red writing and the border will be printed on the fabric.

  I would appreciate directions to do these things. For reasons I don't understand, when I created a file empty and set the color of the background transparent, then tried to make the changes I want, somewhere along the way the background changes to black.

  Try this:

  1. Open your scanned document and do not forget that there is good contrast. The native scan may need help.
  2. Duplicate the background layer, then turn off the visibility of the background layer by clicking on the "eye" icon. Work on the background copy layer
  3. Download the magic wand out of the toolbox tool, tolerance set at 32 (may have to experiment with this value), uncheck the "contiguous"... Left-click on a substantive area white. Press DELETE on the keyboard. Press CTRL + D to get rid of the dotted moving line.
  4. Set your foreground on cd0303 color chip
  5. CTRL + left click on the thumbnail of the layer with the writing, then edit > fill selection > foreground color
  6. Press CTRL + D
  7. Go to Select >, then change stroke (outline) selection. Race position inside, fixed width of race based on
  8. Remove the background layer, and then save to the file format which preserves transparency.

  I have an OfficeJet 6700. I need to scan documents of several large double-sided pages and want to use the automatic charger. I see nothing in the software to be able to analyze one side of a pile of pages, return them manually, then analyze the other side, and have the pages in a single document. It seems to me that this would be a fairly routine business need and also an easy enough task for software realize (just put each page second in order - basically the opposite of manually printing on both sides) so it makes me think that I must be missing something. Can anyone help please?

  The 6700 Officejet does not a duplex ADF to allow you to scan a two-sided document. Copy/scanning duplex is supported only in the glass on the model.
  
  I suggest that you are looking to buy a printer Officejet Pro (for example, the Officejet Pro 8600 N911g) If you are looking for the digitization of documents front / back, through the ADF. You can also look for third-party software that supports what you're looking for.

• OfficeJet pro 8620: scanning and capture app scan document

  I run HP Scan and Capture.

  If I scan a document and do not save it, the app does not allow me to analyse other documents of the IOA, but I can scan photos or from another machine - I can also use the buttons on the IOA to scan to my computer, but then no corrections not allowed.

  I uninstalled the app and reinstalled. I rebooted my system. I turned off the machine and turned it back. None of them have done so that I can scan a different document through the app.

  Any suggestions?

• Pink vertical lines in the scanned Document

  We have a Dell 2335dn Printer Laser multifunction, under intensive use for about 2.5 years out of warranty. From today, digitization has roses vertical lines, using the glass plate or ADF, scan to PDF format or image regardless.

  Any thoughts on what we can do to remove the lines? Printing is fine.

  The printer/scanner was overheating. We turned off for 20 minutes to cool and scan resumed normally. We ordered the users to use a different printer for secondary purposes in order to avoid the excessive use of the machine.
