(Say |) (E) "Server Admin" link on tab directors nadou

Hello

I'm doubt on the 'Content of Oracle Server Admin' link,

Some servers the "server admin" link, where I can activate plugins, however, others doesn't.

I would like to know, why, if it is configurable, where I change...

Thank you

Hello

According to my understanding "Server Admin" link displays if the user has "sysmanager" role. Just check if the logged in user "weblogic" "sysmanager" or not.

    Hello

A HP technician could send me the procedure to reset my printer HP Envy 5660 Embedded Server Admin password? I have generator password with a password manager and looks like it was too complicated for the embedded server! Did not work thereafter. I think that there are characters who does not have the server's firmware, but I haven't checked!

    Anyway,.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Hi @JFLACHANCEC,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you need to reset the EWS password for your printer HP ENVY 5660. I would be glad to help and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution" if I helped successfully will solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I can understand the frustration you are experiencing. If you do not know the password, we will have to reset the printer to factory settings it to remove it. This will remove all preferences and settings of the printer. Once you reset the printer, you will need to reconfigure the wireless to the printer again.

I can send you this information in a private message. In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

When you set a password on the built-in Web server, choose a password that you will remember.

TIP: Enter a password for the administrator account. When a password is set, the name of the administrator (Admin) and the password are required to view or change the EWS Networking. To disable the password, leave the password empty settings.

NOTE: This password has nothing to do with the security of the network.

    1. the MOST important... do nothing the message asking you to do.

    2. connect with your e-mail server. Check the message. I suspect it's a hoax or, worse, a scam.

    3. post the whole message again, less your e-mail address.

  • Firefox beta 9, coming continuous update window, click on update, but it nevers connects to the server, the link 'click here for more information' is dead.

I go about Firefox and click on the updates button control the browser downloads the update, I restart Firefox and behind the browser window is a window that says: it is strongly recommended that update Firefox. It is also a link to get more information about this update. The link is not responding, so I click on 'Next' and connect to the server and it never connects. I let it run all night and it connects. I get this window even after that I updated to Firefox. How can I do that, go away? Is this a legitimate Update window or something try to redirect to a malicious site?

In fact, the window just jumped upward once again, as I was typing this message.

If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox if possible and delete the folder of Firefox beta program to remove all remaining files.

    • Do NOT remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.

Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

  • How to clean an installation Vcenter 5.5 missed a second server vCenter linked mode

    Hello

    First of all, my situation:

I managed to install the following services on a single box:

vCenter Single Sign-On (Vcenter Single Sign-on to your first server vCenter Server)

    vSphere Web Client

    vCenter Inventory Service

    vCenter Server

The first properly installed vCenter (SRMVC.test.local).

I then ran the installation on the second vCenter server (SRMVCDR.test.local)

vCenter Single Sign-On (vCenter Single Sign-on for an additional vCenter server with a new site)

    vSphere Web Client

    vCenter Inventory Service

vCenter Server (linked modes) * impossible *.

I came across a mistake by joining the vCenter linked mode.  I then tried to force who do not have, and installation cancelled.   I think I am facing this problem described in this KB:

Connecting two servers vCenter fails with the error: error 28039.Setup cannot join vCenter Server group related modes (1026087)

    http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 2006850

Now, I see a series of problems with the virtual machine that may be the root cause.  When I open the Server Manager there is an error when I try to view the roles or features.   The error I see is:

Unexpected error refreshing Server Manager: element not found (except for HRESULT:0 x 80070490)

To make a long story short:

I don't really want to solve the problem on the virtual machine.  I think there could be a problem with the template I've deployed this virtual machine from and I would just blow it way and the redeployment of a new model. The problem is that, in the previous installs, I had trouble to reinstall a second vCenter after a failure to install because different services have already been registered with the first SSO server.

    My question:

How to completely clean all the necessary components on the first server vCenter after a failed install a second server vCenter mode related?  I think that the second server is not only with its own UNIQUE authentication server, but also with the first server in the SSO site located on SRMVC.test.local.  I want to blow any trace of it so that the environment is pristine and so that I can use the same name of the second vcenter (VCSRMDR.test.local) when I reinstall.

If the second vcenter also has its own SSO installed on the same machine and the second SSO has been installed in multisite mode (should be Yes, because the main goal is to related modes), you need a clean to the top of the first SSO vmdrd.

VMware support specific utility to get this done, please file a case for support.

Installing vCenter isn't going to be a problem, each installation has a user ID application created with the date of installation, this ID and certificate (which should be unique for a new installation, disable ssl programdata folders if re - install) are used to record vcenter to OSP.

So the old entries will not be a problem for the other components.

ever since the webclient service, you can remove users from the application:

Log webclient with [email protected] the first web client.

Under setting up users and groups, under the users Application tab, you can see all the application registered users.

To identify that one to remove

for vcenter, check the file C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VirtualCenter Server\ssoregtool\vssso.properties.

Once you know the job vcenter ID, you can delete the ID of the other.

Ditto for the inventory service, the inventory service ID can be found in C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\Inventory Service\conf\sso.ini

For webclient files is C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\vSphereWebClient\SsoRegTool\sso_conf\solution.ini

vCenter and webclient has a user record solution with sso, which must be removed from the command line. This is the KB for this: 2033238

again, you can use the above mentioned files to identify the one to delete.

  • Primary domain server admin can be used to control the server managed in the secondary area?

    Hi Experts,

I have 2 boxes of unix, and I have 1 installation of weblogic on each (primary) and secondary site.

The implementation is as listed below:

    PrimarySite

MainDomain: 1 Admin Server, managed server 2, 1 cluster

    SecondarySite

MainDomain: 1 Admin Server, 2 servers managed, 1 cluster

    Questions

    1. can I use Admin Server primary site to control/manage servers managed at the secondary site and use the secondary site to control the server managed in the main site?

    2. I'll be able to have smooth failover and replication of cluster1 session in a primary site to cluster2 in the secondary site.

    Tumi

    (1) server of a Domain Admin cannot control all servers managed from any other domain.
    (2) a load balancer allows you to switch between sites and implement cross-cluster replication as described in the link below: failover and replication in a Cluster

  • The transfer server storage shared for vcloud Director cells

    Hello

I'm building a cluster of vCloud Director (3 guests) in our environment, but I was wondering about transfer server shared storage that is required for downloads and uploads the data among all cells, here is that excerpts from the Director Cloud installation guide for the same

    ==============================================================================================================

To provide temporary storage for uploads and downloads, shared storage must be accessible to all hosts in a cluster of clouds Director. The amount of storage to transfer server must have permissions writable by root. Each host must ride this storage $VCLOUD_HOME

/ Data/Transfer (in general transfer/opt/vmware/cloud-director/data/transfer). Uploads and downloads are the storage for a short time (a few hours a day), but because the transferred images can be large, allocate at least several hundred gigabytes at this volume.

    =============================================================================================================

I have some questions related to this,

    1. can I use storage iSCSI for this "shared forwarding server storage" or only a NFS storage will do.

2 storage is recommended according to the prospective of VMware.

    3. If anyone has references to the configuration for this storage documentation, please let me know.

    Thank you

    Keryan

It is not explicitly stated above all because there are several options and alternatives.

NFS is by far the easiest and also the easiest to wear but CIFS, for example, would work.  Like any other technique of file-sharing system that makes the blob of data readable and accessible in writing of all cells at the same time.

iSCSI is not enough to really say yes or no to the subject.  If you have a shared several cells and do iscsi lun on it ext3 file system, then the cells will tear system metadata of file into pieces in a relatively short deadline, because ext3fs is not designed to be multi-homed.

This isn't a limitation of iSCSI, or a lun SAN, or tours with virtual machines to share the same file several VMS vmdk, is put on top of this file system.

  • Reference Dell R710 - ESX5.1 Server Admin 7.4 storage management alerts

Greetings, I've been deployment OMSA 7.4 VIB to my Dell ESX5.1 host using successfully manage the update. However, all of my Dell R710s servers) report a warning in the Console Essentials OpenManage under the information Section of Agent software for the following: - Server (storage management) administrator - VMware ESXi 5.1.0 build-1065491 no further information is provided in addition to the version of the agent, the description, and manufacturing. Also, under this article the iDRAC6 shows as a "?" but the version of the agent and the description as well the listing agent. This could be linked to the fact that, under the CARS, section reports on RAC connection state as OFF. Step additional needed to get these warnings are resolved? See you soon

You must configure two separate groups, I have one of MGMT (iDRAC) and another for the hosts, both being discovered using WS - MAN, because as you say they have different passwords, our names are the same.

I hope this might set you on the right track.

  • Oracle to SQL Server DB Link (64-bit)

    Dear all,

We must create a link db Oracle 10 g 2 (10.2.0.1 to 64 bits, Windows 2003) to SQL Server 2008 (64-Bit Windows 2008 R2). We followed the steps on test servers (SQL Server 2005 and Oracle 10 g 2 both on 32-bit Windows) using the following method:

Create ODBC Oracle DB server for SQL Server
    Create inithsodbc.ora in < Oracle_Home >/hs/admin
modify the TNSNAMES. File ORA to add Alias TNS for ODBC
Change SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES None in SQLNET. ORA
Change the listener.ora file to change SID_LIST_ < ListenerName > and reloaded the listener

Everything has worked out perfectly well.

But when we followed the same steps of Production (64-bit environments), we get errors. Here is the content of the files:

Could you please help me solve this problem?

    Kind regards

HSODBC was never focused on 64-bit Linux - this is the reason why it does not work.

As an alternative, you can use product tracking HSODBC called database for ODBC (DG4ODBC) gateway. You can download DG4ODBC version 11.2 of OTN, delivery or My Oracle Support and then install DG4ODBC in its OWN Oracle_home, different from your Oracle database (if you install DG4ODBC 11 in an existing Oracle_Home 10.2 you will corrupt this 10.2 OH!).

Configuration is similar to HSODBC - the name of the executable in the SID the listener.ora section is different (program = dg4odbc) instead of (program = hsodbc).

DG4ODBC is certified with Oracle database version 10.2.0.4/5 - so please make sure that you also apply the required patches from database group to your Oracle database.
