• Scaling to external display

  I have a 2015 retina MacBook Pro with an external display k 4 (Asus PB287Q) and since the update for Sierra yesterday, I can select is more scaling "resolutions" which lie between 1920 x 1080 and 3840 x 2160. HD is far too big, far too small 4K. If you please, that there is a solution to this... I tried to restart, and it actually brought back the correct options until I closed the lid, and now they have disappeared and don't come back.

  I had the same problem since the beta and still no word from apple. They completely borked seriously display drivers. I run dual monitors Dell P2715Q. A monitor allows me to choose the old scale with all the resolutions already supported 1080 p up to 4 k. 10.11 I could select the same resolutions on both monitors. Now I'm stuck with the resolutions that you mentioned on my second monitor. If I put my MBP to sleep and wake it up both monitors reflect the resolutions that show you without intermediate options between 1080 p and 4 k.

• When the scaling in the layout, 1st page prints correctly, but the following pages were not properly/too large for the paper, parts of text missing scale

  When you try to print in Firefox and when the scale to the size of the page in the page layout, the first page prints correctly, but the following pages do not scale correctly and are too large for the paper, with the parts of the text are cut off at top and right. It is not fixed by checking or unchecking the scaling / shrink to fit page width "ignore" in the print window, or by changing the scale percent.

  I am running Firefox 15.0.1, on Mac OS 10.5.8.

  The same problem happens in preview print and if I save the copy in a .pdf file

  I tried all the fixes in the how to and others in various forums with no improvement.

  This happens everytime I try to print a document from scaling upwards or downwards in Firefox.

• Tecra A2 ACPI question - systems of scaling of the CPU do not work

  I have Toshiba Tecra A2. It works very well for a year and a half, but now I have some problems. Apparently in ACPI problem. I use SuSE Linux (10.1), but I also have Windows XP Pro on this machine. In both CPU scaling systems do not work.

  Also, when I try to reboot both systems can stop, but then (I thing that it is the BIOS time) just shut down. I can only hold the power button for 5 seconds and material poweroff. I update the bios to version 1.4, set default values, but noting help.

  Any idea? And not only that, is possible to ask Toshiba support center any problem by mail or telephone?

  I'm don't know if someone will help you because Linux is not supported for operating system. Your device has two operating systems and also start Manager and there is no standard situation after discount and supported OS is there without any other substance.

• Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 scaling of questions

  For the preface, I made the common fixes. My text size is 250% and resolution is 3200 x 1600 and all. but when I try to do the things that involve flash applications, downloaded, etc., they are often incredibly small. For example, this is what happens when I try to play Knights of the old Republic 2 via steam:

  It is a small problem with higher res displays. You run Windows 10? Display scaling on Windows 10 is much improved compared to Windows 8/8.1.

  What you can do is to lower the 1080 p resolution and set the size of text to 100%. To do this, a 'Control Panel' on Windows Search search. Then click on 'hardware and sound '. Then click on "display". Then, pick up the left hand side, and you should find "adjust the resolution. Change this at 1920 x 1080, or what ever fits.

  I've been using tiara for only a few days so I apologize if it's something really easy to do, but I just can't understand it. I am trying to manually set the value of 'End' for the axis is scaling of a parcel in a "report". I figured out how to set this value to one of the axis value by using the following commands:

• Help the evolution of the scaling of a virtual channel?

  Can anyone help me please with this block of code that I have?  I don't understand why on the first run it works fine without error exception daq, but on the second run, I get an error.

  More detailed, I create a virual channel in a Sub with a button click event.  This virtual channel is set to the default values (MIN = - 10, MAX = + 10, linear scale with scale and Offset 1 and 0 respectively).

  The click event, is where I'm having difficulties in the other slot.  In this Sub I am creating custom scales and assigning values to them, setting the MIN and MAX values of the virtual channel on the same minimum and maximum values of the custom scale being used and assigning custom for the channel finally this new scale virtual to use.  The code works for the first run.  When I change the scale and then run the code again to a second iteration, I get an Exception of daq error.

  Its seems that the MIN and MAX are ready on the second run, but the scaling is not reset to the new scale of values.  Can someone check and if so, what is wrong and must be changed in my code?

  First execution of the click event of the 'Download' button to assign the custom scale with its values to the virtual chanel... works very well.

  

  Change the scaling, in the case of 400 to 600 and then run the same code with the 'Download' button click event and I get the daqException error

• Scaling of TDMS files

  Someone has a good example of VI for scaling of TDMS files. I have capured data using the attached VI and I want to change this data in a new file by using the scaling slope and intersection derived a calibration VI. I thought it would be simple, but when I followed the example OR doesn't change it anything but the writing of information scaling for the PDM file properties. The data remains the same.

  According to your here attached excel file, I don't know if the meter works or not. But I think it works! You set 0.033939 = slope and intercept =-8.962304 on the 'Raw data' group and the DATA on this group looks quite compatible with this METER.

  This excel file attached does not a "Scaling of raw data" group but a group of "Raw data" which is not in line with your description.

  Please join the PDM Moose and a scale TDMS file here, it is perhaps better to understand the reason. (I can fix the slope = 1 and the ordinate at the origin = 0 to read the raw data of the scale tdms file.)

  Here is allowed to attach both PDM and zip file.

  I'm taking a picture of waveforms and the units of the scale accordingly.  I have a picture of the sensitivities that the user can change and do this in my "EUs Scaling" under VI.  I would use just of "LAS scale voltage to EU VI LabView", but the sensitivity of my sensors will vary depending on the way through.  I can't much the back wave of construction. I think I'm scaling of values of y in my sub VI correctly.  The sub VI is inside a loop of acquisition data and after reading MX DAQ.  The sub VI is "Scaling had 32ch".

  In addition, when you use DAQ MX create channel he wants to channel names to a string of nouns that are delimited by commas.  How do I take a string array and comma delimit them into one string?

  I forgot the changes made to the example for 622 x devices to work, and there is an error in your configuration: M-series cards (all the 622, all x 625 x, all 628 x) do not support the ranges of AI unipolar [1]. In your call to aiConfigureChannel(), you must use tMSeries::tAI_Config_FIFO_Data:kAI_Config_PolarityBipolar. Another thread in this subforum underlines also [2].

• USB 6008 DAQ scaling

  I use a USB-6008 to read signals from analog voltage to a device I built. The task is configured with a single reading finished with a range of + -10 volts. There is no scaling in the task or in the block diagram, but when I acquire data in a PDM file and view it, I get a load of PieceWisePolynomial scaling properties. I have attached the TDMS spectator to this post.

  Does anyone know where it comes from because I can't explain it.

  The data goes back as an unsigned integer between 0 and 32 k of the ADC on the 6008.

  The scale is to convert this unsignedInt to floating point value between-10 and 10.

• Scaling inside LabVIEW DaqMX task is not being to scale correctly

  I'm reading from a physical channel, scaling of this reading and an indicator on the output screen.

  If I do not fit the channel it will output 3.07 volts (This displays the same Max).  Consider the following code.  Physically, I use a 1000 psi pressure transducer which outputs 0-5 volts.

  If you do the math I should show approximately 600 lb/po2.  The problem is, with the scale it shows me 10.54.

  Any ideas?

  

  Your Max and Min on your channel to create DAQmx should be based on reading AFTER application of the scale.  This is why you must set your max 1000.

• VAIO Pro 13 Scaling question (Win 8.1 post)

  I recently bought the VAIO Pro 13 and updated to WIn 8.1, I noticed after updating Office scale has been changed and seems quite large, for example:

  Icons - taskbar and desktop to grow

  -Charm icons and the sidebar to expand

  -Tiles Windows has been reduced to 4 rows!

  Is there a way to get back to Windows 8 appearance? It looked like a 1080 p screen before update to 8.1 and I don't like the new scale!

  Under control panel, select display [may also righ - click on desktop to get to this]. Then check the box "Let me choose a level of scaling for all my views." After that, check the desired scale.

• On a screen of 2509 m, custom scaling is dimmed or grayed out. How can it be made usable?

  On a monitor 2509 m, the picture is larger than the screen. In the menu under the control of the image, the custom scale is gray. How can I get the customized scaling to be active?

  The real concern was that the overall picture was not visible on the screen. It was bigger than the screen. I solved this problem by buying a HDMI to DVI and connect the HDMI cable via the adapter at the entrance to the DVI monitor. The image is now on the screen. The image is also much more clear and bright. The custom scale is always greyed out, but I'll call the problem solved. Thanks to lasvegasman for the idea of a cable problem. LBC

• restrict the scaling axis in the xy graph

  Hi all

  After you apply due diligence in analyzing the context-sensitive help, labviewwiki and these fine forums, I couldn't find a hint on how to do this:

  I like tor would restrict the scale of only the value of a XY Chart axis. Or, to put it in other words, I want the user to be able to zoom and navigate a signal in the time domain, the realm of values must remain fixed to a pair of mini/maxi - assume that the 0-100% for simplicity. Ideally, I would like to use the graphic palette for this.

  Here's what I tried, with the result

  -disable the range => Y scale: no such property

  -catch the "Change of scale of measurement" event and game of scaling to a fixed value => glitter, the property cannot be changed AFTER that the GUI has already redesigned it

  -change the graphic palette of customization of the control is => not possible

  -set the Disabled State-online graphic palette no longer works

  I don't see an easy way to lock the pan function. You can set the minimum and maximum, but - as you said earlier - you get a jumpy (flashing) chart. Even if the update rate is very high.

  If I (or someone else) comes up with something, we'll let you know.

  Apart from the use of an ActiveX (ActiveX 2D chart) or .net component - they have their own unique problems. Perhaps that is a possibility.

• Using an algorithm of scaling of the graph of a waveform within a Subvi invisible?

  I have a little problem with the automatic scaling of the graphs.

  First of all:

  For automatic scaling of the axis LabVIEW uses the set of data that was sent to the curve. If I zoomed in on the inside, the automatic scaling always uses all of the data even if it is not visible at the moment. To resolve this problem, I read on the positions of the zoom sliders and values min/max within this area of research. This method works.

  Second:

  Now, I want to the scale of the axis using the specified min/max values. Labview graphics using a special algorithm of scaling according to the format of the axis. I want to use it, so my idea was to send the cut data and format of the axis to a Subvi. Inside this Subvi, I use a waveformgraph to display the cut data and run an automatic scaling once. Now, I read the values min/max of the graph and set this values on the main chart, I see in my program.

  The result is, my main chart shows the data zoomed area in maximum size (to the axis scale) and hole data is always available, so I can still pass the data in the chart or others.

  Problem: The sense of scale with a grpah inside a Subvi only works if the chart inside the Subvi is visible. If it isn't, no scaling would be made. My solution is to open the Subvi as a small window and close automatically after the scaling. It's not very nice.

  Are there any other ideas how to use auto scaling without showing the front of the Subvi?

  -show your façade out of the visible screen area, so the user does not notice the window...

  -Make your own algorithm of scaling based on these values min/max...
