Scan of photo on HP7520

How can I get my photos to save my 'Image' file on the computer of the HP750?  Unlike my old HP6380 I don't see an option to do so.  In addition, if they want only the document file is there a way for them to register as a separte photos?  Don't know how to make this, but I saved a picture and it saved as .jpg.  When I tried to save the following he said that it was .jpg and said I had something saved and made, I want to replace it.  I had to save it as .jpj1, .jpj2 etc.  Looks like a lot of work to do.  What I am doing wrong?  I tried to use the touch screen and the screen on my monitor to see if it was possible.  Guess I'm just not understand it.  Just have the last printer HP so long and know what to do.  Thanks for any help that you can give to m.

Hi Mrshallmark,

When you open the HP scanning software, there are a number of types of scanning.  Each of the scan types can have their own destination.  To change the destination for any record, select the type first.  Then click on the right side of the screen, on the line that says "Advanced settings".  When the Advanced Settings opens, one of the tabs indicates "Destination."  This is where you can change the save location.  This change is permanent until you select another location or restore the default settings.

This way you could save photos in a folder and PDF files to another.

The file naming, however, is not automatic.  It will ask you to enter a new name every time you scan.  Since it takes default scan1, next time you analyze it will be still scan1 as default and ask if you want to replace the previous scan1.

The settings you make in the software are wrapped scans started from the printer control panel.  However, here the nameing is automatic and the name increments.  So if you make a number of scans, do the scans from the printer control panel would not require you name the file each time.
