Scanning flatbed and ADF

I left my printer downstairs upstairs to another computer.    Until I moved it, it would have Platinum or ADF scanner, then you could scan an additional document if it was the ADF or the tree so scanning multiple documents.  (In fact, I bought a new HP just because of this feature for the computer downstairs.)

So I moved it upstairs and now it will only scan an addiitonal document if it is the same as the first scanned document.  I searched for updates and reinstalled the CD (I don't have the original cd that came with the printer).

How to solve this?  I got a preview.  Y at - it another software or something I should be doing?

Thank you

Hi DBCox,

While the software for the 8600 does not support this feature, I tested a solution that allows you to replace only the components of this scanning software with the most recent of a different newer scanner (e.g. 8620) and get this feature.   This requires a few installation steps to complete.

(1) make sure that you use the latest version of the SW for your 8600.   If you installed from the CD that came with your printer, uninstall the software and reinstall the 28.8 version which is available at HP support site.

(2) download and install the software for the Officejet Pro 8620.   During the installation, simply select the option to connect a device later.  This will allow the installation ends without hanging up a 8620.

(3) the next steps will guide you to make a backup copy of your existing application components 2 scan and copy on the latest of the 8620.   If you are on a 64 bit system, you will do this in your base folder "C:\Program Files (x 86)".   If 32-bit system, then comes the standard "C:\Program files".   I will refer to this folder in the following steps as just

(4) go to "'\HP Officejet Pro 8600\Bin" "

(5) rename HPScan.exe found in this folder to "HPScan.exe.original".

"" (6) the most recent copy HPScan.exe of '\HP 8600\Bin OfficeJet Pro.

7) go to "C:\Windows\twain_32\HP Officejet Pro 8600.

(8) rename HPScanUI.dll found in this folder to "HPScanUI.dll.original".

(9) copy the HPScanUI.dll of 'C:\Windows\twain_32\HP Officejet Pro 8620' new in 'C:\Windows\twain_32\HP Officejet Pro 8600 "

(10) at this point, you are finished.   You must be able to launch the scanning software as you normally would, and you will see the new version of the SW that allows you to 'Use heavy ADF'.     I tested it on my system, and it works fine.    Of course, if this attempt fails for any reason, simply delete the most recent crawl components, that you copied, and then rename the original files their original name.

I can understand the frustration you are experiencing. Whenever the printer is calibrated, it will not be able to do anything until it is complete.  We must determine why it is calibrated.

I see that you updated the drivers, but you updating of the firmware of the printer?

    • Click here for the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127/M128 series Firmware Update

  • All-in-one HP 1536dnf: cannot scan from the ADF and glass to a single PDF file

    Hello

There is a user who needs to scan some papers, but he wanted to do the following:

-scan of the papers of the ADF

    and

    -scan of glass papers

and he wanted to merge all this into a single PDF file.

The announcement of the user he could do before, we implemented a new computer.

On my side, I did the installation of the drivers and as the default scanning software and indeed the scan works, but once you star scanning from ADF he will not identify any which paper on the glass and displays the message "no book on ADF.

And when you start scanning from glass it will identify ADF even if there are some papers. Instead, it will scan the same page, if she stays or it will scan empty.

Well. It became a long text, but any help will be welcome.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

It works this way because they are TWO different operations. There are a few free software around which allows us to merge several PDF files into one file. You should probably do this way. The following link is one of them:

    http://www.PDFSam.org/download/

This free product allows you to divide a large file to many small files (such as the extraction of the chapters of a thick book) and also merge several pdf files into a pdf file.

    Note: use the free.

    Kind regards.

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: do not scan from the adf

    Hello

I'm trying to scan on my all-in-one printer, but it won't pull the paper down in the adf.

I know that the adf works because it will copy from there, and I try and managed to scan until the thing "original charge" appears on the printer screen.  It is scanning, but the page is not mobile.

    Any ideas?

    HI @bekf

Open the HP Officejet Pro 6830 software (it is wither appears on your dektopm or under all programs > HP > printer folder).

Click on scan a Document or Photo and check the scan source is defined as "Use (if installed) document feeder", and then click the scan button and check for the difference.

  • Black line on prints/scans using HP8620 ADF

A thin black line down the page appears on the documents copied or scanned with the ADF on my 8620. Copy/scan from the flat bed is very good. All the ideas of cause and cure?

This is probably a small spec on the thin glass to the left of the bed main scanner.  Specification can be difficult to see, it can be useful to hold a flashlight light parallel to the bed to hilight the spec.  The document here can help solve the problem.

  • You try to run the scan mode and mode interface fpga at the same time is causing errors

I'm reading a 9236 9237 and a 9215 with the scanning engine and read from two 9211 modules with the fpga. It's because I need to acquire to 200 Hz with the 9236 9237 9215 but maximum rate of the scan engine is limited by the slower module in the system, which in this case is the max of 15 hz the 9211.

So to use both interfaces (scan engine and fpga), I followed the percisely given in this article for instructions.

    1. the project has created and added the peripheral crio using the interface of the scan engine.

    2. Add the target fpga and drag and drop the 9211 inside modules

    3. has created the fpga in interface file with and compiled with no error.

    4. interfaced with the file fpga at almost exactly the way the sample project of "getting started with 9211' by using the engine of analysis in the interface with the other modules.

    5. after the errors to discover that I created a VI that tests for just the portion 9211 code (called "thermocouple FPGA method Test.vi")

The data returned by the interface fpga was nothing else than zeros on all channels, even if thermocouples were hooked on some of them. (all zeros as entries in the convert temperature vi gives-410, 6160 degrees F, if you happen to have the material to try this.)

I get the following error from the open fpga vi reference:

    code error-61141
    "Thermocouple method Test.vi FPGA.
    Activities FPGA:

    Open FPGA interface reference.
Reserved outside LabVIEW FPGA: turns The RIO Scan Interface. You must set the mode Interface FPGA chassis in order to unlock the FPGA. »

It's extremely frustrating, because as I explained, I've been very attentive not only follow the instructions for concurrent fpga and analysis but also to model my VI by the example of VI, even if only for the moment, just to try to work things out.

Any help would be appreciated as I need to fix this for the further development and I am somehow in a lack of time. I opened a support ticket (reference #7256226), but the app engineer had no time to answer.

This should not be the case.  9211 data will not update with each sweep, but you should be able to run the scan faster than 15 Hz without problem.  Do you have specific issues with this?

You can try making sure that the chassis is set to mode Interface FPGA and the setting is deployed.  I wrote that article that you referenced says will select the deploy option later and not explicitly speak to deploy the chassis later.  Run a VI with a reference open FPGA vi not automatically deploy chassis settings if you need to do it explicitly.  Try the following steps.

    1. right click on the frame element and select Properties.  Make sure that the Interface FPGA option button is selected. \

    2. right click on the frame element and select deploy.

    3. repeat your VI.

The data returned by the interface fpga was nothing else than zeros on all channels, even if thermocouples were hooked on some of them. (all zeros as entries in the convert temperature vi gives-410, 6160 degrees F, if you happen to have the material to try this.)

Reserved for LabVIEW FPGA outside: The RIO Scan Interface is running. You must set the mode Interface FPGA chassis in order to unlock the FPGA. »

The likely cause of this error is that the setting of the FPGA Interface on the chassis has not been deployed.  If the chassis is still Mode Scan fixed personality bitfile will be loaded on startup and the FPGA will be locked.

It's extremely frustrating, because as I explained, I've been very attentive not only follow the instructions for concurrent fpga and analysis but also to model my VI by the example of VI, even if only for the moment, just to try to work things out.

I'm sorry that you have had difficulties.  Assuming that I'm wrong about the source of your problem, it seems we have to update less than Ko to include the deployment step.

  • Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    Hi all

I need a project that the current NI9203 with mode of analysis samples and samples of the accelerometer of the NI 9237 with FPGA mode. It could be achieved? Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    I use labview2009.

    Thank you very much.

Yes, they can. This mode is called hybrid mode. To use the Mode of LabVIEW FPGA IO modules, simply slide the module to the target FPGA in the LabVIEW project, disconnected from scan mode. Then use LabVIEW FPGA to program the modules and use I/O variables for read and write I/O on the remaining modules. When you use a LabVIEW FPGA Mode on one or more modules, the logic of the scan Mode CompactRIO on the FPGA, known as the RIO Scan Interface, is compiled in a single application of FPGA with LabVIEW FPGA VI. If no module is configured to use the scan mode, the RIO Scan Interface is not included in the compilation.

    can someone help me?

Despite days nearlly10 I am option to find any program LabVIEW 2010 for sweeping the voltage and measure current who works with RS-232, I have a end not have nothing exept examples read single and multiple data. I tried to SmartData labview and changed a few prorgram gpib to RS - 232, but I couldn't.

In another attempt to find a good VI "votltage scanning and current measurement" that work with RS-232 in labview 5.1.1. I have converted in 2008, but it takes old driver (ke24xx.dll) and do not work in my labview 2010 and I could ' t find older driver.

My thesis project was halted in those 10 days, and I couldn't do anything for our keithley.

    Please helpe...

in the following, I have attached these files:

1.-first, what voltage scan that works with GPIB

2 - Vi that I change the gpib for visa (rs232) port that I don't know why it doesn't work.

    3. it is Vi related to the "sweeping and current measurement votltage" that works with the RS-232, but it takes old dirver so I can't use it.

4-slot-VI necessary for the implementation of program 3 (but there is no driver for these subVIs) was attached to the reply message of this post

If any body has this program ("scan votltage and current measurement" running rs - 232) please send to me

    Thanks in advance.

None of you attached the screws are the driver OR you spoke. There is no conversion required for this driver.

If you scan directly on the USB key using the Control Panel, you are limited to the use of JPG or PDF format.  To analyze the TIFF, you will first need to analyze the images on your computer, then copy them to the USB key.

Thank you, image scanned on the glass, you can clearly see distortion (not just tilt), probably due to an irregular movement of the scan bar. When you see distortions like this, it's generally the hardware problem and scanner must be repaired.

    Hello Jim,

I will suggest 2 things. First, go to hp.com site and select your device from the five listed here (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html).

Second suggestion is that you use the HP software to scan your document, where the native format is PDF.

Let me know if this helps you.
