scanning hp 7510 Mountain lion problem

Just bought 7510 and installed on iMAC running 10.8 (mountain lion). When I use HP Scan get cannot connect to scanner error msg say (it's wireless). Can scan via web browser. How can I use direct scan without browser?

Tried and did not work. Disconnected from my user account, the admin account, leave virus scanner (Avast for Mac. I had not to install scanners in Win and Mac with these ongoing enforcement). Re-directed install HP Admin account can scan with HP scanning or image capture. Connected set off to the user account. HP Scan works (and is much faster than my old scanner).

Thanks for help and thought that you want this update.

  • profile of color in Mountain Lion problem

    Hi all

Establishing a whole new MacBook Pro (10.8.4) for my boss and I installed suite CS5 Standard out there. It is a standard user, not an administrator. I installed three ICC profiles in the folder of the user profile (HD > users > [User] > Library > ColorSync > profiles) but they will not appear in the list of profiles that Photoshop or Indesign recognizes, even after restarting the program. I copied them to HD > library > ColorSync > profiles and HD > library > Application Support > Adobe > color > profiles > recommended also, but with the same result. I made sure he had read and write access to the profiles and folders - still no luck. After that, I fixed the permissions, once again unsuccessfully.

Best same profile files are used on different PC and Mac with no problems. Quark 9 can see them. When you are logged as long as PS/ID administrator can see the profiles.

I'm confused - any help appreciated!

  • M1536dnf scanning on Mountain Lion

I have a new MacBook Air comes with Mountain Lion.

I have an existing M1536dnf all in one.  I use the fax machine, but all the other functions work well with two Windows 7 computers.  Several iOS devices print correctly using AirPrint.

The M1536dnf is connected via Ethernet connected to the network.  It has a static IP address.  Other devices connect to the network wired or wireless depending on current needs.

The new MacBook Air automatically discovered the M1536dnf as a 'close printer."  When the printer has been added drivers have been downloaded automatically by using default settings.  Printing works fine.

The first time I tried to analyze the use of the MacBook Air, the system responded that scan drivers have not been installed (paraphrasing) and that they could be downloaded.  They automatically downloaded and installed.  Scan did not work however.  The computer has reported that it was impossible to open a session with the device (again, sorry paraphasing).

    I have:

    restarted the computer

    power cycle the printer

updated the printer for the current firmware

Tried scanning from an extract, Capture of Image and the dialog box print in system preferences

Remove and reinstall the device on the MacBook multifunction

reset the printing on the MacBook and reinstalled system device

tested using copy on the device

    test scanning from another computer

tried to install the driver package hp downloaded from the hp Web site (minimum selected during installation)

In all cases, I received the "cannot open a session error" of the MacBook.  In all cases, the unit has worked well for Windows.

Finally, I restored the MacBook Air from a backup and reinstalled only the Apple print drivers.  I thought that scanning could not wait another day.

I have a good amount of experience with networking and Windows.  I'm a new guy with the Mac and OS X.  Any guidance would be appreciated.  Is it possible that the combination of the new firmware, new OS and new managers just is not mature yet and the problem will be solved in a few months of patience?

Thanks a lot for your expertise!

In the end, I finally solved this problem by resetting the M1536dnf its default factory settings. I believe that this has changed two settings to their default values: IO time-out was 30 and is now in 120 seconds, and SNMP has been disabled and is now enabled again.

It is certainly plausible that the scan drivers can use SNMP to query the properties of the scanner and that disabling SNMP caused this problem.

In any case, I now use the driver "LaserJet M1536dnf MFP" I chose manually during the installation of the printer in the print & scan and that was then automatically downloaded from Apple as part of the installation.  Print shops. Scanning works printing & scanning and Capture of Image. The absence of support TWAIN means scanning does not work in Acrobat Professional X.

  • Photosmart C4780 with Mountain Lion software problem

How can I get the software of the printer to use with the Mountain Lion if the app store shows no update available? I tried to solve a problem after upgrading to Mac OS 10.8 and uninstalled my HP software. Now I can't scan and no HP software does appear in my applications folder!

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Restart your Mac.

    Reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

Scan using Capture of Image in your Applications folder.

  • Problems after upgrade to Mountain Lion?

Full of history of BONE: I have an iMac (early 2009 I think) that came with Leopard.  Only 2 days ago did I'm ready to upgrade!  So my Snow Leopard s/w package installed.  So bought the APP store Mountain Lion & installed today.  Now on OS X 10.8.5

Works great except one problem - Facebook is messed up!  Most of my "task buttons" (as the arrow pointing down in the upper R hand corner) does not work!  (Which means I can't send a msg HELP FB.)  It seems that FB does not 'recognize' my mouse.

It is an plugin Apple Magic Mouse, model A1152, EMC No. 2058.  Went to 'Apple' support to see if there was an update of the driver but it seems that they are only available in wireless versions.

    Help!

    Hello Catherine.

Although it may not solve your problem of mouse/FB directly, there are a few things you could try.  Your iMac is probably mid-2007 if it was supplied with Leopard.  You approached support FB.  The shoe is generally on the service rather than the manufacturer of the item.

There is also an update of Combo for Mountain Lion.  You need to download that from this link...

    https://support.Apple.com/kb/dl1676?locale=en_GB

And finally, have you checked that you have enough memory RAM.  Your machine probably came with 4 GB if Mountain Lion would work better with 6 GB.  You can run 6 GB with this iMac.    I have the same (even if no account of Face Book) and even if Apple specifies a maximum of 4 GB, I and many others, use 6 GB comfortably...

Can I use HP Director if I absolutely have to but he's so picky and I'd like to use an excerpt...

    Thank you

    Hello

The only specific model supported by Director software and can be used via the preview or the Image Capture.

In fact the request of the Director is not compatible with Mountain Lion and currently only print and fax features provided for the operating system.

As you find listed here, scan support charge later this year:

Try to use software Director for Lion is the only possible option right now.

  • scan a picture in Photoshop CS6 on the Photosmart B110 Mountain Lion?

The Photosmart B110 scanner does not appear in the Photoshop "import > Image devices" list of devices - even after you have installed the TWAIN plugin.

Is it not possible to scan directly in Photoshop CS6?

I thought that there was a software driver OS X ImageKit than kicking instead of TWAIN.

Is the only way to import a scanned image to do so through the functionality of the Scanner of the printer utility (or preview or Capture of Image), rather than directly in Photoshop itself.

HP Web site says that the Cougar drivers are provided with the Mountain Lion so assume that it is nothing to do with the HP drivers.

The assistance service Adobe could not help. Suggested to contact HP.

    Hello

I'm afraid you won't be able to scan directly from Photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop support only scanning from Twain compatible devices.

Any software of HP for Lion and especially to provide an interface consistent with ICA and don't provide Twain drivers.

You can scan Capture of Image or an extract and then run the file in Adobe Photoshop.

    Kind regards

With the virtual machine running, pull down the menu of the Virtual Machine and install VMware Tools, you'll see. Choose that and you should see the virtual machine window "click on install to connect the installation of VMware Tools CD to this virtual machine" and "In the virtual machine, open the application"Install VMware Tools"on"VMware Tools"disk." Installer is built into the merger application so there's nothing extra to get. Request for enforcement "install VMware Tools" and restart the virtual machine and you should get all the resolution choices you could want.

  • Problem to install Adobe Cs4 design premium Mac Mountain Lion

    Hello

I changed my old Macbook pro (my OS was Snow Leopard) for the last new Imac. I have backed up on an external drive with Time Machine.

When I started for the first time on the new Imac with Mountain Lion, I've restored everything from the external drive.

But when I started Photoshop Cs4 or Illustrator Cs4, I received this message: error 150:30

So I don't unsinstalled of the creative suite, clean as recommended here:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4673667

    I downloaded a creative suite cs4 trial of: http://prodesigntools.com/download-Adobe-CS4-and-CS3-free-trials-here.html

But when I install it, the stop of the process after a certain time and a window appear with:

"This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which is no longer supported.

Please contact the author of the request for an updated version. »

I guess that the downloaded version is too old for the Mountain Lion.

Could someone give a hand to get it please.

    Thank you.

PS: I have my ID and my serial number

I used a downloaded version because there is no CD on the new IMac lector.
