  Recently (this week and last) my firefox has been cached from very old resources. If I update the html pages, I can see that change on a refreshment, but and I do changes in css or js do not reflect. Whenever I load a site I do a [shift + refresh].   The only way I can make firefox load new resources page is via an application called "clean my mac 2", where I have to request a reset.

  It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

  Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete the other files of cookie present as cookies.sqlite - journal in the Firefox profile folder where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

  A further extension could have snuck in. These can be bundled with other software you may have installed recently.

  Try turning off all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off. (Or so completely junk, delete).

  Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
