script java script Apple...

Hello world

As I want to change the script apple java script code below. I tried to reproduce the frames with java script and its working fine. But I don't know how to use that State in javascript. If it is possible to which the State of java script, so I don't want to go to the loop. Can someone look into this and help out me.

-Apple script-

Set {} xx
Tell application "Adobe InDesign CS3"
tell document 1
Repeat with i from 1 to (text block count)
If the parent of the parent of the text frame class I is not master then spread
fine adjustment of xx ID of the text block I have
end if
end repeat
duplicate (each text frame whose id is xx)
Delete (each text frame whose id is xx)
tell the end
tell the end

-Java script-

var doc = app.activeDocument;

var myFrames = doc.textFrames.everyItem ();

myFrames.duplicate ();

//----

Thanks in advance

Indana

JavaScript is not an equivalent to which clause of AppleScript. If your script JS version might look like this:

myDoc var = app.activeDocument;
var myFrames is myDoc.textFrames.everyItem () .getElements ();.
var XX = [];
for (i = 0; i< myframes.length;="" i++)="">
var myFrame = myFrames [i];
If (myFrame.parent.parent.constructor.name! = "MasterSpread") {}
XX.push (myFrame.ID);
}
}

for (j = myFrames.length - 1; j > = 0; j-) {}
myFrame = myFrames [j];
If (IsInArray (myFrame.id, xx)) {}
var myDup = myFrame.duplicate ();
myFrame.remove ();
}
}

function IsInArray (myString, myArray) {}
for (x in myArray) {}
If (myString is {myArray [x])}
Returns true;
}
}
Returns false;
}

    Just installed El captain on my iMac. Now I can't use photoshop without Java 6 Java for OS X 2014-001. The proposed solution was to use the terminal to disable the java script 8. However, the terminal requires a password to continue. I don't have a password for the terminal. How should I proceed?

    He asks your password for the account, as long as your user account has administrator privileges.

    There is no reason to disable Java 8. Adobe has so poorly programmed applications that he has no idea he has any other Java in the world. He must have Java of Apple 6 and no other. Only, you should be able to install Java 6 from Apple. This is the version that should work with El Capitan: Download Java for OS X 2015-001

    Hello!

    I saw this article.

    Basically, as long as I don't have Java, I have nothing to fear? I've read that recent Macs lack Java (thanks, Apple!), but is there a way to check if there is no Java at all? It would be easier.

    I checked the preferences system and if there is Java autour, there should be this symbol of Cup of steaming tea somewhere in the level below the system of preferences?

  • How to completely uninstall Java apples for software?

    Hello

    I installed Java apples for legacy software (https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=de_DE & viewlocale = de_DE). I no longer need, because I uninstalled the software. I would like to uninstall Java completely too, due to known security issues. I want to get rid completely of Java, as Apple itself can't take it anymore.

    Unfortunately, I couldn't find a clean uninstall routine, there was always some left system files.

    You know a way to correctly and completely delete the mentioned above Java version?

    Thank you in advance.

    Apple Java can be stopped from the Java preferences application in

    Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities.

    Apple Java unlike Oracle Java is incorporated into the system of exploitation, but cutting the feature will disable entirely.

    If this is not enough, you should make a backup of your hard drive and consider reinstalling a clean operating system instance.

    AFAIKT Apple does not provide any indications to remove Apple Java OS 10.11, but a suggestion on the developers to remove OS 10.9 forum can be found here.

    It is prudent to always back up your system when a suggestion to remove or install something is offered by anyone. It goes without saying: proceed at your own risk.

    to remove Java Oracle

    Open Terminal and type:

    sudo rm -fr /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin

If I open another tab and close the Java running one, another page will load without any problems. It is a very recent thing. I don't think that was going on before the last update Java from Apple. The extension in question is kill Bright Horizons. It reduces the brightness of the background color of a page if it is too bright. Why would this happen?

    Firefox 8.0.1 seems to have solved the problem.

  • Add xml by Apple/Java script tags

    Hello

    All, I'm new to Indesign Scripting, and I hope someone can help me with the following (add xml) problem.

    Can someone write / suggest me how can I add xml tags. By Apple/Java Script

    My Probleam = >

    [& x + 2 y + 3 &]

    Solution = > (but its manual)

    are inlineequation > < inlinemediaobject > < role of the textobject 'xpressmath' = > [& x + 2 y + 3 &] < / textobject > < / inlinemediaobject > < / inlineequation >

    I want to add on my powermath equaiton xml tags. His ETMV2 of xml tags.

    Any idea is appreciated!

    Thank you very much

    snegig

    Sorry for the delay.

    Is it a script when I select my math equation given power and then automatically add xml tags

    Oh, you just want to work on the selection?

    It's pretty easy then:

    var d=app.activeDocument,
        root=d.xmlElements[0],
        ie = root.xmlElements.add("inlineequation", app.selection[0]),
        im = root.xmlElements.add("inlinemediaobject", ie.texts[0]),
        to = root.xmlElements.add("textobject", im.texts[0]);

    to.xmlAttributes.add("role", "xpressmath");

    I feel that it's a bit kludgey and that there is a better way to add objects and maintain the hierarchy, but it was the quickest way that I could make it work.

  • How to activate a demon of via Applescript launch at startup?

    Mini Mac server (end of 2012)

    OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

    I've seen trouble getting shell scripts 2 license server to start when the server starts.  More particularly to start after the network is initialized.  Tests and hit the wall of brick in the last 6 months, I pray that someone here can help.  so far, I used Lingon X 2 to create a demon of launch, found that it does not work.  Supported by writing a script apple the two calling terminal and trying to pass by 'do shell script' or who would work at startup, even if they have worked very well use the "play" button in the Script, the first editor, however, now they are both saying that the command or the file is not found.

    Here is a broken script example:

    the shell script "cd /".

    the shell script ' cd ' / Applications/MATLAB_R2015a.app/etc'.

    the shell script «. "/ lmboot".

    and here's the plist that runs, but seems to be running until the network is initialized:

    I reached out to Wolfram and Matlab, who say it is not their problem.  Apple support has been less excited to try to take it, but they point me in the direction of Lingon, which produced this plist file.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated as having the server restart, then students and teachers unable to reach their applications is frustrating to say the least.

    -Broaddus

    Your AppleScript seems to be by train to run

    /Applications/MATLAB_R2015a.app/etc/lmboot

    and your plist seems to be trying to run

    MathLM

    that could be in one of the following locations

    usr

    / usr/local/sbin

    / usr/bin

    / usr/sbin

    / sbin

    / usr/local/Wolfram/MathLM

    First you must decide what file you want to run limboot or mathlm

    I would then suggest that you put the full path to your plist like this

    / usr/local/Wolfram/MathLM/mathlm

    (if it is correct)

    Your current entry in the plist of. / mathlm might be wrong in two respects, all first if you are assuming that the path variable it will find the executable file, then do not include. / forward, then you need to check if the mathlm is an executable file in one of these folders specified in your path variable. As I said, I would suggest instead of using the full path.

  • Plugin Check gives poor results for some Mac

    On a Mac under OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) or versions earlier, Plugin check mark indicates the Applet Java plug-in and QuickTime plug-ins are obsolete.

    Steps to reproduce:
    Tools-> Add-ons-> Plugins-> check to see if your plugins are up to date

    The results show:
    Java Applet plugin update now
    QuickTime plugin 7.6.6 update now

    Explanation:
    1. before Apple OS X 10.7 (Mountain Lion) provided Java. Apple did not provide an update. [thejava.com siteupdate requires Mac OS X (10.7.3 version and above)]
    2. There is no update QuickTime plugin 7.6.6 for some Mac; It is a more recent OS x 10.6.3 via 10.6.8.

    Plugin Check can be fixed?
    Macs can get better help? (Some bugs without go back to Firefox 3.5 and before!)

    I see your vote in: Bug 565832 - Plugin Check indicating QuickTime plugin 7.6.3 is "Obsolète"

    7.6.6 also reported

    do not have a new bug, it's ok. (I vote also)

    (1) I searched the forum for "Mac Mail keeps asking for password"

    * seems simple enough, because I spent most of my day trying to beat the machine *.

    IMAP, POP, Keychain, smtp, outgoing, user, server, mailbox store, cunning, repair permissions, start safe mode

    I've never been invited for a password in my Mac Mail, today, the two accounts that I use on a daily basis.

    the two jumped to the top with windows asking for passwords. I went to my keychain, check later

    Passwords and account (gmail) has begun to receive mail.

    My Yahoo account, no matter what I do, it won't get in the mail.

    I know that I can go to Yahoo.com and check my mail here, but you know what a drag

    It is.

    Yahoo offer also so "send your message in one place, like AOL, Google Mail, etc...

    I doubt that I would never do.

    I also have to be humble... I own a MacBook Pro with version 10.6.8 - 4 GB

    In June, if the new models are unveiled, I'm first in line.

    When you go to Yahoo to check your mail via the Web site, you are using the same password via Apple's Mail program?

    No Powerbook can run 10.6.8.  You don't mention that you have a MacBook Pro on your post, so I suggest to change your signature accordingly.  They are different computers.  MacBook Pro come new almost every year, but a lot has changed since 10.6.8 came out, and I'd be too nervous to get to a new operating system, unless you have the latest Java, or Apple iCloud.  If you do, this tip is important to read before:

    http://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-6271

    And you really need to fix your e-mail before trying to buy a new computer.

    Because your email has several different accounts put in place, I suggest simplify.

    Write yourself each account and each account setting you need on a piece of paper and just try to have an open both definition.  Since they are all IMAP, I hope you have stored all your e-mail on the server and not on any "on my Mac folders."  Let us know if you did before deleting all accounts?

  • Cannot open the .jar files more

    Hey everybody.

    Recently, I can open is more .jar files more

    I am running OSX El Capitan 10.11.4

    I am trying to install a mod for a game that is in a .jar file and have recently been unable to do so due to this message:

    ' The Jar Java file could not be started: check the console for possible error messages

    I have installed the version of Java recommended directly on the terminal says it is my Java information and site:

    Java version "1.6.0_65".

    Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_65 - b14-468 - 11 M 4833)

    Java 64-Bit Server VM (build 20, 65-b04-468, mixed mode)

    After some research, I was told to install java on apple here's site - https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US , but that didn't work either. I have never had any problems with installing .jar before and this specific mod, I have installed in the past. Is it because of the latest version of Mac OS x? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks :)

    What's the .jar file executable? You may need to use the command line, i.e., chmod, to make sure. For example

    chmod +x foo.jar

    C.
