Scroll bars moving downwards on their own

I was working in a spreadsheet, and the scroll bar suddenly began to move down and around the lower right corner of the worksheet.  When I tried to drag it to the top, he fell just planted again.

When I drop down to my favorites, they scroll right to the bottom, and I can't access the top of the page.  If I drag the scroll bar to the top, he falls down as soon as I let go.

I opened the Task Manager, clicked on Services, the list immediately started to scroll down

I opened the bin and it immediately scrolls to the bottom.

Drop-down menus don't drop down - i.e. attempted to update my profiles in Windows live, and the bottom of the fall doesn't drop down.

I rebooted twice and closed many tasks but still the same problem.  Any suggestions?

Hi Chuckd09,

Thanks for choosing Microsoft answers Forums.
You can try to perform a system restore and check if it works very well.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

1. start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore listed programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose another restore point and then click Next.

3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

4. click on Finish.The computer has restarted and the system files and settings are returned to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

If this does not work, update the drivers for the mouse and keyboard.

If it is uninstall USB and reinstall USB drivers and check if it works very well.

Hope the information is useful.

Kind regards
Yama - Microsoft technical support.

    I worked on a VI using LabView 8.6 for awhile and when I opened it today I noticed that although scroll bars are visible on the façade,

    the rectangles that you enter in the scroll bar to move upward or downwards are missing.

    I tried to solve this by masking and display then scrollbars in the following way:

    1. in the VI preferences window

    2. by right clicking on the scroll bars

    3. dynamically using a property node bound to the pane and using the properties of "HorizScrollbarVisibility" and "VertScrollbarVisibility".

    To reset the text position and scale that I had to right click on the object and replace the dial with a new dial.
    The scroll bars work now and the missing items now.

    My guess is that the error was caused by the limits of the cover being so big.

    Have seen other issues similar to mine and they can be on the same issue, but they say that the scroll bar disappears, in fact, it's still there but almost invisible. Try to click on it without knowing the exact location to cause the uncontrolled scrolling page. Other issues advised people to restore their browser by default, but that did not help at all. Had this same problem for about 6 of the latest versions of firefox, all say in the 1930s versions. I tried adding contrast high Windows as an experiment, but that did not help at all either. • scroll bar

    The vertical scroll bar on the right side of the screen disappears when the web site I visit is short enough to not to require a scroll bar (i.e. is there no need to scroll upwards or downwards, because everything fits on one screen). If I move to another site, the scroll bar is displayed if necessary. This isn't usually a problem. However, if you move between the links of the site itself, if all the pages have the same format, moving pages to the left when the scroll bar is displayed at the time where the scroll bar disappears, and it is quite annoying. It is a huge problem if you have a text box that appears when you hover the mouse over a link. This is a good example: sample Web site if you move the mouse on one of the logos at the bottom of the screen, the page moves left, and if you move the mouse over the logo, it shifts back again. If you do this quickly, the page is just horrible. In Internet Explorer, the scroll bar doesn't appear and disappear, it is just disabled when the is not necessary. Is there a solution to this?

    webbrewers... you are a genius! It worked perfectly. No more wobbly screens.
    Thank you!

    I think that there is a bug in the way the dialog box manages the selection/deselection of scroll bars that a person OR you participate on this conversation and "Send" to have a CAR # assigned.

    I don't think being able to have a vertical scroll bar on a 1 d array that is sized only for 1 item maybe not a bug, but a design by programmers of LV decision.  Perhaps because a vertical scrollbar on the controls of normal sizes such as strings and numeric values would be too small to be usable.  But for larger paintings such as a cluster, why not?  I would say that a scroll bar is more intuitive, when there is no room for it.  Generally, it looks like that elements of tables 1 d as being lines, so a vertical scroll bar would allow you to roll the lines upwards or downwards.

    Be able to use a vertical scroll bar must either be added to the CAR/report bug # for dialog box problem, or maybe, you should present the product suggestion Center as well.

    Work around a possible would be not to use the scroll bar on table, but let down your own scroll bar vertical on the FP and nodes of property allows you to set a range and value of this slider to set array shown using his property node index.  The event structure should probably be used as well to manage a change event of value on the scroll bar.

  • Computer is stuck on "Microsoft Corporation" logo with the on-screen scroll bar, a green.

    Hello

    I had difficulties to get my computer past the "Microsoft Corporation" logo with the on-screen scroll bar, a green one.

    I searched the forum and found others who have had this problem. I tried some of their proposals, but eventually Windows does not run on my PC.

    It seemed a moment have solved the problem, but my AVG security had been removed. When I arrived the AVG security working properly my computer starts a few times more, but now I'm right back where I started.

    Is it possible for me to turn this thing on, but not in Mode 'Safe '? I am sick and tired of trying to connect, or try to understand this problem.

    I wish I could just take my computer to where I bought it and get my money back. Unfortunately, the warranty period is exhausted on my PC, so I'm stuck with it.

    I use Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, I don't know if that makes a difference?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    From [http://www.coderanch.com/t/432788/GUI/java/JComboBox-horizontall-scroll-bar] and [http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5369365], I know that the technique to have a horizontal scroll bar for JComboBox.

    However, their proposed solution are limited to the Look n Feel specific.

    As you can see, the below excerpt key code is malfunctioning, if users are Linux machine with GTK + look n feel, or machine Windows with Nimbus look n feel.

    There is an official way (read: code of the heart itself does swing combo) to access the pop-up window and then do what you must

        private void adjustScrollBar(JComboBox box) {
            if (box.getItemCount() == 0) return;
            Object comp = box.getUI().getAccessibleChild(box, 0);
            if (!(comp instanceof JPopupMenu)) {
                return;
            }
            JPopupMenu popup = (JPopupMenu) comp;
            JScrollPane scrollPane = (JScrollPane) popup.getComponent(0);
            scrollPane.setHorizontalScrollBar(new JScrollBar(JScrollBar.HORIZONTAL));
            scrollPane.setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_AS_NEEDED);
        }

    Simply assign the scroll bar will work at any time after the creation of the drop-down list (BTW: assigning the horizontalScrollBar null got really... didn't even know it is valid). If you want to resize the drop-down list, you will need to do it in a popupMenuListener willBecomeVisible: at this time, all internal components are ready for touch-ups. Just for fun, set up the drop-down list to adapt to the requirements of the size of a JXTable used as a rendering component:

        private void adjustPopupWidth(JComboBox box) {
            if (box.getItemCount() == 0) return;
            Object comp = box.getUI().getAccessibleChild(box, 0);
            if (!(comp instanceof JPopupMenu)) {
                return;
            }
            JPopupMenu popup = (JPopupMenu) comp;
            JScrollPane scrollPane = (JScrollPane) popup.getComponent(0);
            Object value = box.getItemAt(0);
            Component rendererComp = box.getRenderer().getListCellRendererComponent(null, value, 0, false, false);
            if (rendererComp instanceof JXTable) {
                scrollPane.setColumnHeaderView(((JTable) rendererComp).getTableHeader());
            }
            Dimension prefSize = rendererComp.getPreferredSize();
            Dimension size = scrollPane.getPreferredSize();
            size.width = Math.max(size.width, prefSize.width);
            scrollPane.setPreferredSize(size);
            scrollPane.setMaximumSize(size);
            scrollPane.revalidate();
        }

    and Yes, this is the example for setXXSize. But then, it isn't but application code a code 'in-house framework.

    See you soon... and the real work

  • Changing colors of the scroll bar

    I heard that I could use style tags in my head of the page to change the scrollbar colors. What is correct - and if so, is the attached code the correct way to use? Also, I put it in the page that has the iframe inside or the source of the iframe page? I tried them both, and all I get is the standard grey scroll bar that looks really off in my site.

    This is not supported in any browser except IE. In addition, when you change the
    colors of scroll bars, it can be a bit confusing for visitors to the site who are
    accustomed to their own browser interface.

    Hello! I am trying to add a scroll bar with a few links it contains. I have, but the problem is I want to customize it... Add images/color to it to circulate better with my Web site. I'm sure that there is a way to do this through CSS (probably), but I don't know where. Could someone help me please? Thank you!

    It is no modification of the scroll bar evident in Fx, at least not the
    page scroll bar. There is a custom widget scroll on the left. It was made
    with get, a plugin:

  • Need help with a scroll bar.

    Hello guys. Ive has designed the following website... www.trigpointselby.com

    It's just a standard static Web site, display of information.

    My problem is on the areas of the bussiness section I created a div of ap and filled with information... the text was big for the box as he could go in, so in the css rule definition, I put "overflow" positioning in the volute of option.

    Now it works perfectly well and sounds great when you view it from any internet browser. My question is, I tried to watch it on my iphone and the scroll bar was not visible, so I could only read the part of the text and could not scroll down to read the rest like in a web browser on the pc / mac.

    So my question is does a step a way round so that if people were to see the web page on the iphones that they could used the css that I put the rule making a scroll bar visible for people to read the text. Im guessing that this will be a problem with all the mobile phones not only the iphone

    You seem to be saying that you replaced "ap div" by "layers." Surprise! They
    It's the same thing. This statement shows a lot of confusion and you offers
    have been 'stolen' try something that you do not really understand meaning
    and then try to fix it by using something else that you do not understand also.

    Difficulty. Yuck!

    Your best bet is to stop where you are and learn more about the two CSS HTML &
    and how they interact. Then you should be able to develop a practice more
    design strategy, probably using NO positioning. (Any block element has a
    by default the static position. I estimate 99 + % of all block elements that I use have
    their default (static) position).

    I just read your stylesheet (trigpoint.css). Here is one rule in this
    style sheet that uses absolute positioning (AP):
    {#menubar}
    position: absolute;
    Width: 800px;
    height: 42px;
    z index: 4;
    left: 0px;
    top: 129px;
    } There is more than 19.
    NOTE: Everything between {and} is called the "declaration block". Each
    a part of the declaration block (for example "position: absolute;") is called a
    Statement. Where my formulation, "20 of the CSS rules using the" position: absolute "
    statements. "

    Here's the good news: the issue of using or not using layers (divs PA (or)
    other PA block elements)) is requested here every week at least. There is a wealth
    the info if you search this newsgroup/forum:

    One of my favorite CSS Reference: http://reference.sitepoint.com/css

    Part of what you learn is that there is a gulf between that of simple.
    dimension of the Web sites, you can build without understanding HTML & CSS and the
    site more complex than you probably want to build.

    Reading, try, ask your questions here and they're all getting start adapting
