scrolling with the touchpad.

I use a laptop with Windows 7.  When I am trying to up or down in a document internet etc., the page doesn't move upward or down 1 line at a time.  How do I change the settings, so I can move more quickly and smoothly without the entire page that need to reset?  Thanks for any help you can provide.

I can only show you the General because the options I use in my Dell computer apparently are not necessarily available in other brands. I hope this will give you an idea...

Right-click on a free space of the desktop > customize > mouse pointers (Yes, mouse pointers) > (this is for computer Dell laptop)...
in my Dell, I have a Touchpad tab, click on it > scroll to settings > scrolling speed, I have a slider to adjust from slow to fast > OK when finished. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • Satellite L750 - how scrolling with the touchpad?

I have a Satellite L750 (my first laptop and first touchpad) running Windows 7. I put the mouse scrolling to 1 line at a time, but every time I place the pointer on the right scroll bar arrow down (and press the left button or press on) the screen pops so that the scroll bar is at the bottom. I want the screen to "inch" down slowly as if I was using a mouse wheel.

Yes, I know that the answer is probably very simple, so those people who are itching to answer don't forget I'm a 'newbie' to touchpad.

    Concerning

    Hey,.

You can scroll with the touchpad on the right side of it. Just move your finger upward or down on the right side of the touchpad and you can scroll with this gesture. It of not complicated and very easy.
In addition, these basic operations are described in the user manual and I recommend reading. ;)

If you are not familiar with the touch pad, you can also connect an external USB mouse (mouse even as on a desktop computer). These external mice are cheap and you don't need a driver for it. Just connect it to a USB port and it of ready to use :)

  • M45 S351 problems with scrolling using the touchpad

I have some problems with scrolling with the touchpad. In some applications, like Mozilla Thunderbird, the touchpad scrolling does not at all! If I contact the right side of the touchpad by finger in Thunderbird, I see the label of Scroll on the screen, but no scrolling occurs. What is the problem? In Opera, I need to click on the browser page to 'activate' the touchpad scrolling and it also irritates cause in IE I do not have such problems: I have lunch just Explorer and scrolling of the works from the beginning... How to solve this problem?

[Edited by: admin on August 29, 2006 06:52]

Fix for that is unknown to me, but it turns out that the unit has been tested only with Microsoft products (Designed for Microsoft WXP label applied on the device) and not with other third-party software of the part. This function is not only an example. There are many of them. Please don t see this as a problem.

On this path, I will not say that you MUST use just preinstalled stuff but there are many things that you have to live with.

Perhaps someone else knows more about it.

  • Satellite R850 - scrolling on the touchpad stopped working

For no reason at all. (as far as I can remember). I was just stuff randomly on pc (like every other time), surf the web, while I just recognized that my scrolling on the touchpad does not work. I tried to restart the pc, turn on/off touchpad, but doesn't have hepled.

I have the Satellite R850 2R laptop with win7 on it.

Try to check if Windows update has installed something today and roll back the OS to an earlier time (if possible to return in two days) using System Restore tool.

I put t know if this will help but you can try it. Several times I saw this update of the synaptics driver is offered by the windows updates option.

  • Re: Satellite Pro A300D - relocation after Vista, I can not scrolling on the touchpad

I could scroll with my touchpad moving my finger from right above on the right down on the touch pad, on the first installation of Vista on my A300D-161
Now, I reinstalled Vista and I installed the utility, but it is not an option for scrolling.

    How / what now?

    Thank you

    Hello

Do you have what utility installed?

You must install the driver for the touchpad on the Toshiba site. After that, go to control panel > mouse > Device Settings > settings. Here, you can enable virtual scrolling.

  • How to disable scrolling on the Touchpad?

I have an acer aspire 7741Z-4815 with Windows 7

original title: I want to disable the functionality of scrolling on the Touchpad, how do I do this?

    Hi Sylvie,.

You can follow the steps below and check if it helps to turn off the touchpad scrolling feature.

    1. Click Start and click on Control Panel.
    2. In the control panel select display of small icons or large icons.
    3. Click the mouse and navigate to the following location: device settings > Synaptics touchpad > settings > virtual scrolling > uncheck "Enable vertical scrolling" option.
    4. Check if it helps you to disable the touchpad scrolling.

If the above steps do not help, you may have to contact Acer support to check if they have any parameters or function keys to disable the touchpad scrolling feature.

This could be linked to the "keyboard navigation" function, which moves the cursor on the page when you scroll with the arrow. Or maybe in this case jumps around things on the page.

    You can enable the use:

    • F7 key
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > general mini-onglet > uncheck the box 'always use the buttons cursor to navigate through the pages.

    A little luck?

  • Scrolling with the mouse on the pages to create black and white, lines

When scrolling with the mouse, periodically the entire screen turns into black and white lines. Page sometimes together, sometimes just from ads pictures/side. If you continue to scroll disappear but you need to scroll to where the lines have begun, it's hard to explain, I took 1 picture of the problem but will have more photos that I can, I love how Firefox works on my computer, it has always been the best browser for my needs. I recently bought a new desktop computer, but he did so also, so I deleted and tried to launch the Explorer and Google and I don't like, so I hope that we can settle this problem.

I don't know if it solved the problem, but he didn't precisely these days. Thank you

I used to be able to scroll with the arrows, as if I was with my mouse wheel, but now when I push on up and down, firefox takes me immediately to the top or bottom of a page. How can I do so that it scrolls up and down slowly?

Click on the orange button Firefox, go to Options | Options | Advanced. On the general tab, check "Use Smooth Scrolling".

    Hello

The M325 Nano-receiver allows you to connect up to 6 devices however you
need a Logitech utility (free download) to achieve this. Check with Logitech
Their online documentation, support and drivers, utilities and ask in their forums.

I don't know if that keyboard and mouse are compatible.

  • How can I activate the scrolling on the touchpad mouse

I'm trying to figure out how to do the scroll to work on my laptop touch pad mouse? I used to b able to click on the button and drag the page up and down. where the parameters to activate it bak?

    Hi CStockwell13,

    A. who is the manufacturer of the laptop?

    (B) since when is - not working?

You may need to check the manufacturer's Web site and download the touchpad drivers and install it on your laptop.

Once installation is complete, you will need to restart your laptop and configure the touchpad and its functions of scrolling on the touchpad console located in the Manager of tasks.

Restart the computer and configure the touchpad and function of scrollbars by checking on the console of the touchpad.

    I hope this helps.
