  • How can I search Favorites?

How to search a specific bookmark? No, not "sort" bookmarks to find (I know not which of many files, it is). I need some sort of field research, or similar, where I type words in the name of the bookmark. This has existed in FF28 but I can't find it in 29.

    Thank you!

    • You can search bookmarks in the location bar by prefixing your query with an asterisk, for example * support mozilla
    • You can search for bookmarks in the search bar in the box of Favorites (Ctrl + B; Mac: Command + B).
    • You can search for bookmarks in the search bar in the library (Ctrl + Shift + B; Linux: Ctrl + Shift + O. Mac: Command + SHIFT + B).

However, none of the above search methods will show you in the folder in which resides a bookmark. You can remedy this situation with the following modules.

  • HOW can I remove my Bookmarks Toolbar Firefox's "Getting Started" link? It wastes space and seems invulnerable to the attempted abductions.

From the outset, I am on a MacBook Air, running Yosemite & the most recent Firefox Help. If your only interest in my question is for bash Macs, then (yawn) I'm not interested. If your interest is to help sincerely, then you have my interest as well:

I'm stuck with a "Getting Started" Firefox link as the first 'signet' (left) on my bookmarks bar, I really want to delete: I was in the Apple computers (from the Apple] [e) & online since the mid-80s, so I'm hardly a naif in the digital world or Firefox newbie , so having a "Getting Started" link to life is ridiculous, AND I really need the space to accommodate MY choice! Then...

I tried all ways recommended to delete unwanted bookmarks - Firefox, BUT when I pull down the "Show all bookmarks" command of bookmarks in the Menu bar, there is NO such thing as the "Getting Started" link, so I can't delete it there. I've even linked by clicking and dragging it out of the toolbar, but it does not (nor made more by dragging to the trash. Then, someone has idea of this insurgent link?

    You can try this?

    1. Open the Bookmarks Manager. In what is the Apple menu icon or the menu bar, click bookmarks > show all bookmarks.
    2. In the search bar search Favorites, type getting started.
    3. Delete the bookmark that opens.
  • When I download firefox it's infected, why?

When I download Firefox bookmarks appear to suffer from malware because they are reproduced thousands of times and consist mainly of unwanted bookmark I have not saved - DocuSign price and also several search favorites bookmarks, have also been reproduced without my fault. So I've not unhooked Firefox, then installed several times hoping that the duplicate bookmarks seems not - but they always do. So I'm not going to have Firefox on my PC until this problem is sorted. This same problem on my PC and my iPad with other browsers. I deleted unwanted bookmarks in Safari and Chrome with success. The original problem when my favorites have been synchronized using icloud. I now have unsynced all my browsers to eliminate this problem. I ran Norton Power eraser on my computer and found no problem. How can this problem be solved? Anyone know what causes this problem?
Please note that I don't have Firefox currently on my computer because it has the above problem. That's why I can't open the troubleshooting application you provided at the bottom of this page, or I can't do the manual steps as I am not currently in Firefox.

You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • After that FF28 installed, my history and bookmarks are missing like #981577 I've tried everything!

I had this problem for about 5 days, it can happen before then, perhaps as early as 23/04/14 but I'm no good (inoperable cancer) and just started using my laptop about 5 days ago. I became aware of the problems about 5 days ago, in the course of which I tried the search the support forums and Mozilla on the web for clues as to what I can try, where the reference to the #981577 issue, which looks like it could have been written by me (my saved passwords no longer work , and I can't open the modules now, but for the last few days I could use Add-ons-those for sql lite, but I just tried the add-on troubleshooting appearing at the bottom of this page and I can't use it, what happened to me earlier today, when I downloaded an add-on, I clicked on the FF orange button at the top left then click on Add - ons and it goes up to reach the Add-ons Manager, but nothing happens when you click on the add-on that you try to use - if it manifests itself - it shows only a page marker to square with 'Disable' and 'Delete' - I thought that the problem was with the other add-on I tried because he had a year and maybe he just didn't work. Somehow, I think that the Bar Menu of Firefox with button Firefox Orange and other toolbars could be part of the problem. If I click on the Navigation toolbar and click on the Favorites button that I added to the bar, he will fall down and show me bookmark pages (maybe 15) who are not sorted as my lack. If I click on "Show all bookmarks" it opens the window titled LIBRARY which shows on the left side of the screen. Inside of the library window is a toolbar with your gray out/not bkwk use, then organize, then views, then import and backup - a box search Favorites under the microscope. Under the tool bar is a section of the left screen with an icon like a book that reads all the bookmarks, there are no bookmarks listed under this heading, and nothing happens if you click on it, like a button/command. On the right side, there are two sections, the first section on the right side and the upper part under the toolbar is an area with the name and the location of the headers and below show 3 bookmarks recent I've added lately. Just below the previous section is the section name: and then a search box empty. If I click on "Show all" when you work with toolbars, or bookmarks, they somehow default to an empty LIBRARY window. When I click on the area of the history from the Firefox Orange button, it shows several recent sites when I click on Show All - nothing, I come and when I click on bookmarks, there are several Favorites I did appear today, BUT NONE of these bookmarks appear in the "LIBRARY" window when I click Show all. I want to add that I get the same results when I use the touch of Orange Firefox toolbar as opposed to the Menu bar original. I performed all the tasks mentioned in the conversation to question #981577, and for the most part, I repeated the procedure three times each with additional Firefox and put off my pc between the two for good measure. I also used Windows system restore twice with no results, but also try to "downgrade" my version of Firefox at 24 and 27 (which I know is not a recommended step and the first attempt resulted in the download of Firefox 28, which I was already running, and the second time, nothing restored or appeared as if by magic so I did an uninstall and did a clean install of Firefox 28 since the download link on the Mozilla site. There is no indication that the other user support had him issue/ticket answered and resolved. Communication support spans 12/26-12/27/13. I wished that the preceding conversation took place recently, it may indicate a problem with FF28, but I don't know if it was released in December. Here's the issue or the problem of the original poster, and I took all such measures suggested by the the technical support representative who was present.

I would be so grateful to have my favorites because they are my lifeline, and I think I have / had links more than 3,500. What about my story, I never delete anything (including bookmarks). I know, there are thousands of websites that I saved. This is the issue or the problem of the original poster, and I took all the steps as suggested by the representative of the technical support that helped:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/981577?ESAB=a & s = Show + All + Bookmarks + Show + History + doesn % 27T + Work & r = 20 & As = & page = 1

"Earlier today, my favorites were there. Later that evening, not there.

I tried the process of restoring bookmarks, I copied the folder and delete the file of places thing. None of this has worked.

What's weird, is that if I type something in the URL box that I know is in my favorites, it will be displayed as if it was in the history. But nothing shows in my folder of bookmarks at all.

I need help on what I tried almost all the ways that I read and nothing brought upward. "And as I said in the title, I have over 800 bookmarks and many of them are work related.
    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Thanks to everyone who took a peek at my problems with library files, history, bookmarks, downloads and passwords lost or missing after Firefox 28 updated (the automated), especially Michael. Jacky, your suggestion was among the first, I tried more than four days ago, but I re - try each day and twice today (this morning, and after I posted my problem of support here). Unfortunately, whenever I tried it, I need to click on start, and I almost always see the screen flash slightly, then at the top of the window where it says 'Library', I would say something like "the program is not responding" and then... nothing, and nothing on 'My Computer', showed changes. I also used inventory management and maintenance to ensure that the files were in my profile folder, etc. and I kept getting a clean management of sites with depth control and I double checked tables in maintenance of places - both of these programs as well as restoration was recommended in the previous responses to requests for information similar to mine. In addition to restoring my computer, I did a 'Reset' on Firefox that created a new profile name which is used where my FF files are stored. I think that this may have contributed to my eventual success.

Finally, I tried the thing to save the files in another folder, then change the name of the 'SQL places?' I forgot the second part of the name of the file (I blame my brain tumor for my short term memory problems - really) I think it's the name, so I changed the name. I then clicked on file, then exit and it closed Fire Fox. I was very reluctant to use this method to solve my problems, but after about 4-5 attempts using this, my favorites showed up - not only those who register in the drop-down list and would only save to Favorites sorted in the library, he finally showed not to exactly as it did before the problems. I found that using the bar of removing alternating Menu and looking Orange top button Menu to the left of the screen, it appears that the SQL info flows to two menus in the same way. If I clicked on the Menu of the Orange button, he began by listing 3-4 websites as bookmarks. If I used the Menu toolbar bookmarks button, he would have the Favorites list at the bottom of this flow - on 15 sites (which is crazy for both because I did 4 200 bookmarks). I was so frustrated but clicking on all the bookmarks or history, and the pop - up for library would say "there are no files. I don't really know the final or this answer solved my problems, but I stayed awake almost a whole 4 days awake trying to solve this and now it looks like as I ' ve managed to fix 99.9% and I'm done with it - I can't take more. " I think my brain tumor has increased his own tumor to that - I'm absolutely no COMPUTER expert, that's for sure. Thanks again!

  • I'll try to keep my five questions doesn't become a rant

    Hello

I'm crossing my fingers that I will win some relief from teeth cringe the day of one of PC problems after another, who, I think at least a couple could have caused my me, namely:

    (1) despite reading at length on the subject of search Favorites lost, I still can't find not what is missing, that it is imperative that they be found somehow. and

    (2) I checked the settings of cookies of Firefox several times to make sure they are enabled, but I still get a warning that my browser cookies are not enabled. and

    (3) in Gmail, my Google Home Page has suddenly become replaced by Outlook Live. OMG, I can't imagine what I did that caused it; and

    (4) all things considered, I'm clever enough on the PC, have been at it since WordPerfect v4.2! But the current sophistication of configurations of Windows software confuses me. There are so many places where has make decisions and/or determination on a myriad of checklists for which I have little or no knowledge. and

    (5) entry until the end of the road - on top the dilemmas that above, I'm having problems with Adobe Flash Player. I deleted all previous downloads of Adobe Flash Player and then downloaded and installed the latest version, nine times! All goes well for a few minutes, and then the same problems. Repeated Adobe Flash Crash pop-up with choice of 'continue', 'try again '.

In her "try again" each function was almost paralyzing the cursor froze. Most of the functions were nil. By clicking 'continue' allowed a minute or two of mobility.

I will confess to having read widely online on all sorts of topics above, but although I've tried that I could understand, nothing has managed Adobe support is also without merit.

    Thanks for your patience,
(I promised that it would not be a rant, but alas, you was!)

  • Cannot access a folder in the bookmarks Menu

I clicked on a folder in the bookmarks Menu, and he disappeared. How can I find it?

You may have moved this folder by accident in another folder.

If you have not closed Firefox, but you can try to undo this operation in the (library) bookmark manager via organize > undo (Ctrl + Z)

    • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks

If not try to open the bookmarks in the sidebar (Ctrl + B) and click in the area of bookmark to set the focus in this area and quickly press the first letters of the folder lost to see if this brings up this lost file.

Bar search only searches Favorites and folders not and does not show the location of bookmarks found.

You must click on the left of an icon in this field in order to avoid opening the bookmark.

  • Bookmark Manager - ignore certain directories / files / classes / libraries

Before raising this as an idea or to roll my own, I thought it was wise to check to see if it already exists.

I have a large application with bookmarks in all directions. When I load the Bookmark Manager (and when it updates periodically), she goes through all the screws in the project.

It's great, except that I have a special class that has a few members, including many reference certain DLLs. When the Bookmarks Manager search Favorites, there are a few screws that seem to fight to locate these DLLs. The loading window appears, with the intended path and the directory of current research. Curiously, despite the intended being correct path, LV seems to seek in the first directory of LV and waived, then, actually checks the projected track. A compilation of mass does not seem to prevent this research.

Some of these members pointed out in the diagrams of block with hashes in ("#1 exit, exit #2"etc.) which would never be favourites when they were written first - it would be nice never to have to see and avoid the five minutes of search for the dll that occurs.

It would be great if the Bookmark Manager allows you to exclude files or folders to search for bookmarks. Anyone know if this feature exists somewhere, or is - something I'm better to do myself?

    Hi thoult,.

This is an expected from the Bookmarks Manager, such behavior indicated in the section "unfinished management tasks in LabVIEW" in the following help file:

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361K-01/lvupgrade/labview_features/

I am aware that you can change this. Please find below a similar idea in the exchange of ideas:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW-idea-exchange/bookmark-manager-project-dependencies/Idi-p/2530246

The person who posted the above idea has continued to extend the Manager of bookmarks for their own use, see here. This might give you inspiration before "attacking yourself."

Please let me know if I can be of any other assistance :-)

  • Need help to fix my computer

Recently, my computer went repair after a storm blew the Ethernet card in my computer.  As I live in France, I had no option but to bring to a local repairman French, but when I came back, I does not recognize my machine in any.  Out of a possible 222 GB, I had only 14 GB of space, compared to the 109 GB that I had before he went to repair.  Apparently, he said, there was a lot of viruses on my computer and erased off to clean it up and then reloaded my files, folders etc. turn it back on.  While I was the the only user on this computer, now it seems that everything has been covered by dell.  Little by little, for weeks, I managed to almost all recover as it should, but I noticed that there are program under me and dell user files.  I am trying to remove the program files in the two users - ensuring that they already in C:\Program Files first.  However, there are some that I don't know where they belong: AppData and AppPatch for beginners.  They should just stay in my user folder, or are they a program?  This is probably a question very silly but all I've ever done on this machine is basically lit, typed and surfed.  As you can probably I'm not computer but if anyone out there can explain in simple language, I would be very grateful.

    Kind regards.

Program users files are different from those in C:\Program Files and should not be deleted or moved, modified or edited. Nor do anything with AppData or other records related to the system in your user folder.  You may lose access to programs and will need to uninstall and reinstall again to solve the problems.  You can also change your user profile to the point where you're able to access your account or do something with it.  It's one thing to make changes in the Documents, images, audio, music, downloads, search, favorite folders and like this in your user profile - what is normal and expected, and perfectly acceptable.   But please stay away from other folders or you may cause serious problems may not be able to be easily fixed (or may cause you to lose your data and access to your programs and Vista).  If you keep this up, the next trip to the repair shop can be much more expensive and you may lose information that cannot be recovered somehow.

Please leave this sort of thing up to the experts.  Even I don't mess with these files because I know I can do more harm than good.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How can I convert a .mp4 file to a .wav file?

What is the difference between a .mp4 and .wav file?

How can I convert a .mp4 file to a .wav file?

    Hello

    MPEG-4 (.mp4)

MPEG-4 is a specification of the international standards organization (ISO) that covers many aspects of multimedia presentation, including compression, creation and delivery. Although the video compression and file container definition are two entities separate and independent of the MPEG-4 specification, many people mistakenly believe that the two are interchangeable. You can implement only the parts of the MPEG-4 specification and stay compliant.

The file format MPEG-4, as defined by the MPEG-4 specification, contains encoded MPEG-4 video and audio content encoded AAC Advanced Audio Coding. He usually uses the .mp4 extension. Windows Media Player does not support playback of the .mp4 file format. You can reproduce .mp4 media files in Windows Media Player when you install the decoders compatible DirectShow MPEG-4 packs. MPEG-4 compatible DirectShow decoders packs include the Ligos LSX-MPEG Player and the EnvivioTV player.

    Audio for Windows (.wav)

Versions of Windows Media Player that support this file type:

    Windows Media Player 7

    Windows Windows XP Media Player

    Windows Media Player 9 Series

    Windows Media Player 10

    Windows Media Player 11

Windows uses the file Wave Form Audio (WAV) format to store sounds as waveforms. One minute of its coded in PCM Pulse Code Modulation can occupy as little as 644 kilobytes (KB) or 27 megabytes (MB) of storage. This size of the storage space depends on the sampling frequency, the type of sound (mono or stereo), and the number of bits used for the sample.

Similar in format AVI, ASF, WAV is a container file only. Audio content that is compressed with a wide variety of codecs and that is stored in a .wav file can be played in Windows Media Player if the appropriate codecs are installed on the computer. The most common audio codecs that are used in .wav files include Microsoft Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (MS ADPCM) and uncompressed Pulse Code Modulation (PCM).

I also suggest you to perform a search engine of search favorite you hot to convert a .mp4 file to a .wav file.

  • pin the start menu website

There are three sites listed in my Start Menu that are incorrectly typed. Attempts to remove them as usual absolutely no results. They just sit there, constantly, aggravatingly using space that I prefer to use for something else.

Is it possible to withdraw outside the right click and click on delete from the list that does not work on this pc.

Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Hi again!

Please start by back up the registry. How you do that, that is described here: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/ht/backup-registry-windows-7.htm

Then, create a restore point. How you do that, that is described here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/create-a-restore-point
Now you can try it without risk of finding the registry entry.
Type regedit in the search in the start menu and choose regedit.exe by clicking on it.
You are now in the registry editor.
On the left side under the computer, click on the small arrow next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER to expand a list of items. Search for software and to extend it again by clicking on the small arrow next to him. Now search Microsoft, it redevelop and image search for Windows. Expand it and look for the current Version. Expand it and seek to explore. Expand it and look for Startpage2.
Note: on the bottom of the window, the following path should now appear: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage2

Now, left-click on the 2 home page and search Favorites in the right part of the window. Click on, and then choose delete all values starting with 'Favorites '.

Now your StartMenu must be empty, and you can begin to pin anything you want here.

    I hope this helps!

    See you soon

  • AxAcroPDF control - collapse the left sidebar

I need to reduce the left sidebar in the c# code, so that when the user opens the PDF file it is reduced.

It's the bar on the side of left hand search, favorite...

To achieve this, there is no support.  The left sidebar is an important part of the user interface.

  • Import from elements is not in my file menu

I use a trial version of Lightroom 3.2 and I wish I could convert my real catalog in Photoshop Elements 6 for Lightroom. The instructions are clear, but this option is not available in my menu of Lightroom? Is it because I'm using the trial version, or is there a problem somewhere else?

    Thank you for helping me

Other people have been able to do, so you just have to understand what is special in your case.  Break down the problem into pieces.

Try searching for "Lightroom" in your web search favorite Elements.  Apparently, there are some magic you need to do on the side of the elements, especially with old catalogues. I read that Lr 3 only supports PSE 7 and 8.

    So, you can try:

-Moving your PES 6 catalog some local partitions with images (I have no idea how it would happen, so I'm hand-waving).

-Using Lr 2 (which I'm sure you can find a place) create a Lr catalog on this basis. I suggest using 32-bit Windows for that.

-Install Lr 3 and update the catalog in place.

I don't know why your PSE 8 test does not work, but clearly it is not the typical case. See if Lr 2 catalog PSE6, then avoid you this question.
