Cannot access a folder in the bookmarks Menu
I clicked on a folder in the bookmarks Menu, and he disappeared. How can I find it?
You may have moved this folder by accident in another folder.
If you have not closed Firefox, but you can try to undo this operation in the (library) bookmark manager via organize > undo (Ctrl + Z)
- Bookmarks > show all bookmarks
If not try to open the bookmarks in the sidebar (Ctrl + B) and click in the area of bookmark to set the focus in this area and quickly press the first letters of the folder lost to see if this brings up this lost file.
Bar search only searches Favorites and folders not and does not show the location of bookmarks found.
You must click on the left of an icon in this field in order to avoid opening the bookmark.

I've recently updated Firefox. The bookmarks menu has a new menu item called "all bookmarks". It seems to be a true copy of the bookmarks. When I try to add a new bookmark, all bookmarks folder is the one indicated in the dialog box. I tried to delete the folder all the bookmarks, but then nothing is displayed in the dialog box when I try to add a new bookmark.
If I add a new bookmark, it is placed in the folder all bookmarks and does not appear in the top level element that I want it in virtue. Any ideas on what I can do to solve this problem.
The update went normally without my intervention.
Thank you
This may be a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

There is no bookmarks in the bookmarks bar. The only way I can access my favorites by clicking on the bookmarks Menu. All the booksmarks and folder then appear in the menu - drop down but when I go to organize, he didn't is that anything listed under organization. My story will be displayed in the sidebar. I can not find a way to sort my favorites and don't know if I can save a new bookmark.
One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

How to move recently implemented bookmark bookmarks in the bookmarks Menu?
Using the latest version of Firefox on your desktop - Windows 7 Professional. All recently marked bookmarked Web sites appear in "Recently marked with a bookmark", but not in the Menu "Favorites". How can I get new bookmarks appear in the bookmarks Menu directly instead of bookmark recently? Otherwise how can I move all entries from bookmark recently to the bookmarks Menu?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, you can't just ' click on ' once and a new bookmark Menu bookmarks be saved in the folder. The default folder to save a bookmark is the unsorted folder. It has been like this for Firefox 3, and I've never seen an extension that changes this feature.
Overall, there are 5 ways to save a new bookmark in Firefox:
1 {Ctrl + D}
2. right click and select Bookmark this Page.
3 bookmarks > Bookmark this Page
4. double-click on the star that is located on the right side of the address bar.
4A. (clicking on the star will save the new bookmark in the unsorted bookmarks folder).
5. left click and drag the image to the site (Favicon) in the toolbar URL (or the active tab) in the display of the Sidebar Bookmark {Ctrl + B}
or point bar Bookmarks menu (the drop down menu is open) , then in the drop-down list of your bookmarks and the folder of bookmarks (open records)
or on the bookmarks toolbar - the new bookmark will be saved only when you release the left mouse button.Recently the Favorites isn't a 'real' folder. If you do not see this folder just right-click on this file and delete it.

How to remove the toolbar "bookmarks" and the "Unsorted Bookmarks" in the bookmarks Menu
I'm looking to find a way to permanently delete these unused 'features' in the bookmarks menu, not only of the window. Thank you.
This can be done.
You can move the bookmarks from the inside, but you cannot delete files because they are programmed in Firefox.
I'm sorry. -
How to remove options open all in tabs from the bookmarks menu
Hello
I have Firefox 17.0.1.
Is it possible to remove or disable the all open at the point of tabs in the bookmarks menu submenus? I chose during it by mistake, and a lot of unwanted tabs appear as enraged politicians.
Thank you.

You can set the pref to 1 browser.tabs.maxOpenBeforeWarn on the topic: config page in order to get a warning in such cases (works with one click setting on a folder).
You can add this code in the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.
Customization files (interface) userChrome.css and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the chrome folder in the user profile folder.
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */ #PlacesToolbarItems .openintabs-menuitem, #placesContext>menuitem[id="placesContext_openContainer:tabs"], #placesContext>menuitem[id="placesContext_openContainer:tabs"]:not([hidden])+menuitem+#placesContext_openSeparator {visibility:collapse!important}

In the old version you could hide the or delete to subscribe to this page from the bookmarks bar option menu option and the same for the unsorted Lily book option.
I would also like to remove some spaces that surround these options in the menu.I want to talk about the menu bar with the bookmarks menu item.
All of these options in the bookmarks menu makes for lots of unnecessary scrolling for the bookmarks menu in any direction (upwards or downwards). I think it's very annoying that there is NO option to hide these elements either to just outside and to remove it!
The toolbar that I speak has this list on this.
File Edition display history bookmarks tools help
In this menu bar in the drop-down menu bookmarks menu is now where I want to get rid where hide the items mentioned above, that allows you to be able to do.
If you want to hide Unsorted Bookmarks in the bookmarks Menu (However he always appears in the bookmarks library), follow these steps:
-> Create a userChrome.css file in a folder named chrome in your Firefox profile folder
-> Close Firefox
-> Now enter (or copy / paste) the following code into the userChrome.css file.
@namespace url ("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); / * This line is needed only once * /.
#appmenu_bookmarksPopup menuseparator[builder="end"], #appmenu_unsortedBookmarks, #bookmarksMenuPopup menuseparator[builder="end"], #menu_unsortedBookmarks, #BMB_bookmarksPopup menuseparator[builder="end"], #BMB_unsortedBookmarks {display:none!important;}

Fault strike; should be "how to restore him organize bookmarks... selection." Also, this selection does not exist when I manually change Firefox to show the new tab menu orange "Firefox" in the upper left of the Firefox window.
Select "Show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu. It performs the same function that "organize bookmarks" used for.

Cannot access Pathname you have the appropriate permissions. Cannot download updates gives error code 643 and error code 5. Always gives access denied. You do not have the appropriate permissions. I am the administrator. Change all the complete control. Any other suggestions? Possible virus?
Hello
You are unable to download the updates?
Try the following steps to resolve the problem:
Method 1: Temporarily disable any security (including firewalls) software and check if the problem persists.
Check out these links:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-offhttp://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software
If disabling the security software solves the problem, then contact the manufacturer of the specific security software to fix the problem.
Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable
your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are
connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Method 2:
See the article mentioned below and run the Fixit diagnostic tool to fix the error 643.You receive error code 80070643 0 x or 0 x 643, code error when you use the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates:
