Search for drop-down Hotspots

Hello

Is there a way to drop-down hotspots? When I started my project, I used drop-down hotspots and realized that this configuration was not well run. I converted most of them, but I would look for the entire project to ensure that I found and converted all the hotspots.

Thank you

• Swap Image onclick for Drop-Down Hotspot

I use RoboHelp 8 to generate WebHelp output.

In a small number of help topics, I've included a picture of the button (bttn_moreHelp_up.jpg) as a menu drop-down. When you click on the image, the text of the menu drop-down appears as expected. What I want to do, it's also swap the image when you click on it (to bttn_moreHelp_down.jpg) and then change it when you click New. The images have arrows winding to show expanded or collapsed.

Is there something that I can add or change in the HTML code to swap the image? Here's what the HTML code looks like now:

< p > < a class = "dropspot" href = "javascript:TextPopup (this)" id = "a1" "> < img src="images/icons/bttn_moreHelp_up.jpg ""
ALT = "" style = "border: none; "width ="132"height = border"21"="0"/ > < /a > < /p >
< div class = "droptext" id = "POPUP312575649" style = "" display: none; ">"
< p > line 1 of the text that appears in the drop-down. < /p >
< p > line 2 of the text that appears in the menu dropdown. < /p >
< p > line 3 of the text that appears in the menu dropdown. < /p >
< / div >
<? HR-script_start? > < script type = "text/javascript" language = "JavaScript1.2" > / / <! [CDATA]
If (typeof (TextPopupInit)! = 'function') TextPopupInit = new Function();
TextPopupInit ('a1', 'POPUP312575649');
[]] > < / script > <? HR-script_end? >

Note: I don't want to update the CSS in the drop-down hotspots because I don't want to change each instance drop-down list in the project - just the handful that use the image.

• Where is the text of drop-down hotspots?

I'm setting up a new project to help and wants to use the drop-down hotspots. We have our documentation translated into several languages and generally send files html for translators. I guess I'll have to send the drop-down list text separately, but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know where the text that goes into the hot spots is stored?

They are in the html file, look up in the code view.

• drop-down hotspot?

Hello just a beginner here.

I want to apply drop-down hotspots (hope I use the good jargon) to my FAQ so that it would allow the user to expand them or collapse related issues.

How and where should I start?

Thanks in advance and more power.

My concern is now that the object shows all the content of the Panel, once you open the page and you must enable the execution of the script from the browser to really perform its function so I guess that it defeated the purpose. No work around on this?

I am not afraid. 98% of people have JavaScript active because it is a widely used web programming language. JavaScript is supported in all default web devices. If you have JavaScript disabled on your system, you do not represent the majority of users.

• How to restore the search bar drop-down list and the search engine icon today as it was in version FF 33?

Some ealier time, I managed to go back to the drop down list via editing about: config and setting browser.search.showOneOffButtons to false.

But yesterday firefox asked me to improve my search and I agreed. After that, I see ugly new tile instead of the drop-down list.

How can I go back to find it is old menu drop-down appearance?

"browser.search.showOneOffButtons" was a temporary pref which lasted from Firefox 34 upward through 42 of Firefox. The underlying code that have supported this preference is gone like Firefox 43.

https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ has an option for old search (experimental) in Options of CTR > UI (1)

• Search menu drop down always on the top of the & blocks tapping annoyance of keyboard screen

Hello

I use the windows on-screen keyboard 95% of the time. And I would usually place in the middle of the window when in use. When I need to type in the search box, and even if the screen keyboard it is set to always on top, it always goes IN the drop-down search suggestions, which blocks my ability to keep typing. I have to stop typing and move the OSK to the right or the left beyond the border right or left of the search box or move it to everything at the top of the window or down out of the way the drop-down list. Then, this highlights the text that I already typed, forcing me to click at the end of it, or start over (once I moved the OSK out of his way). Even though I have disabled search suggestions still has a drop down menu which blocks the OSK (position/size/length of the search along the top box and the position of the OSK are where I love them bc of my poor eyesight). The address bar does the same. I want to know if there is a way to keep the search drop-down box UNDER the OSK while I type? It's a long question, I apologize, but it's a little wordy to describe. See the photo and I'm sure that you will understand what I mean. The OSK is always set to "Always on top" in Win 7 Premium

Thank you for your helpful answer

It looks like a work in progress for programmers. I wonder if this thread could be redirected to them? I'm ready for this mark as resolved for me personally, that the behavior of the drop-down menu 'old' shorter is easy {er} to avoid now and also provides suggestions less and less that I type in the query (which therefore relieves my annoyance).

The OSK should, logically, remain on top, right? Ah even though it IS hard to read them with a keyboard in the way... this is defined as a conundrum for those that would, like me, to read both the helpful suggestions and the keyboard letters at the same time.

• Suddenly cannot enter anything into some empty search fields, drop-down menus does not and javascript popups freeze randomly. WTH?

I noticed a few things randomly does not not on my computer in the last month or two, and I have tried everything I can think to figure out what it is... still have not thought about it yet. Examples - I was on ebay and the tracking number, I clicked on the page 'My ebay' jumped open a javascript window, but then froze the page so I had to close the tab all. Then on Grooveshark, home page comes up, but if I type anything in the search field, I see what I type, but at the same time, I can still see their default search message. If I try to enter something and click search, it gives me just the warning that I wonder if I want to leave the page, he is never looking for. There are a few other times I think that I tried to use a menu drop-down, and they don't always work - they look just like they are which is clicked but nothing shows. Also do not know if it of related or not, but it is worth mentioning: I tried to install Freecorder and even if I tried both the toolbar and just the installation options button, it does not appear to me to use it, and who is with more disabled adblock. Also not positive took my last update of Adobe Flash, even if I downloaded it.

I like adblock, but I have had that for years, and it has never caused a problem or stopped me to see everything I wanted to see. My system was pretty bada * before that, and it's frustrating that all of a sudden I can't go everywhere and do everything I could before. Why he does this, and I can fix it?

Meh... If I had started here rather than try this search at random, I would have fixed the problem weeks ago. I just did a reset of Firefox and tried all the things I mentioned in the op, and everything seems to work fine now. Well well, outside Freecorder, but I can do the work in a different way, I guess. In any case, reset Firefox = solution. Yay!

• list for drop-down navigation

Captivate 8 is it possible to create a drop-down list that displays a list of slides, and when the user selects one of the slides, and then navigates the user to slide they have chosen?

Jay,

Do you need HTML5 output, or are you pointing to a sensitive project? If this isn't the case, the old widget GotoSlideAS3 is still available in Captivate 8 but only for SWF-output. Its formatting is limited, but it will do exactly what you want.

Otherwise, there is no equivalent for this useful widget of learning interaction. You can use the drop-down list interaction (thus limiting formatting), but it can only select a slide (is a static widget) and you will need another interactive object to go to the selected slide.

• How to disable the search in drop-down list control

Hi all

I'm designing a dashboard with a command prompt. In this message, I use a drop-down list control which I hope to turn off the option "search...". ».
Does anyone know a way to disable the option 'search' in a drop-down list control, so that users can not find values on the database.

Any kind of help appreciated.

Hi Laurent,.

You can try the below workaround to hide the option "search...". "on the drop-down list.

-Click on the dashboard to change where the dashboard prompt is present.
-Add a text object to the page and paste the code below into it.

-Check that you check the option 'Contains HTML markup'.
-Save the page and run the dashboard. This should hide the option "search...". ».

I tried this on IE and obiee version 11.1.1.6.6.

• Need help with the code for drop-down selection, please!

I'm falling out of scope with a drop of water in my form. My form is long, and certain areas are in Page 2. When I click on the "Customer hospitality event" drop-down list selection, the fields of P2 do not hide. Here is the code that I have on the menu drop-down:

-form1. P1.meetDetails.meetType::exit :-(JavaScript, client).

switch

(this.rawValue)

{

" case" " Customer home ' :

Header.PRESENCE = "visible";

meetDetails.presence = "visible";

meetDetailsaddl.presence = "visible";

Form1. P2.rstatus.presence = 'hidden '.

Form1. P2. Status.Presence = 'hidden '.

breaking ;

}

Help, please!

Thank you!

I see that references to the P2 have no end of line separators (-).

Form1. P2.rstatus.presence = 'hidden '.

Form1. P2. Status.Presence = 'hidden '.

The JavaScript runtime engine is perhaps unfortunate. Try to add them.

• How can I configure Robohelp to display the results of research in the hotspots menu DHTML drop-down?

Hello. We have designed our online help using the drop-down hotspots (this aspect is much cleaner to us). Problem is that when a user searches for something and clicks the page to find the information, the topic theme of the results page, but does not develop the hotspot of menu drop-down to display the exact location of the search item. Is there a JavaScript or another solution to get the hotspot DHTML to expand, showing the information? Thank you.

• Global scaling by default to search drop downs

I'm looking for more information on how to set the default values for drop downs in PLM. For example, when an Internet user searches for hardware specifications in GSM, the default is to search by name. However, is it possible to have this set to find # instead. Almost all our end-users does not search by name.

Thank you so much Kelly.

• Problems of the drop-down list of the hotspots alignment

I use RoboHelp 7 and have a project with a lot of topics that contain bulleted lists with drop-down hotspots and text. I have met an alignment problem in these drop-down hotspots and hope someone can help me understand how to solve this problem.

I want to indent the text that appears when you open the dropdown menu, then it aligns in virtue of the text of the list item to chips, rather than the bullet itself (so it is easier for users to differentiate between the text of the dropdown of the bulleted list).

To do this, I did the following:
(1) created my hotspot menu drop-down
(2) delete the default text that appears in the text box
(3) the icon click Increase Indent
(4) entered the scrolling text

The text seems to be aligned correctly in the WYSIWYG editor, but has a hanging indent, when I saw it and after that I generated WebHelp output. The paragraph format does not show a negative withdrawal, but that's what I see in the forecast and the generated output.

Can someone explain why this happens and how I can fix this problem? Thanks for your help...

The way to handle this is to create a new style in your stylesheet with the correct indentation and that applies inside your fall down.

• How can we change the visibility of the drop-down list after its creation?

I create a QML document with three drop-down lists. Depending on how "trans_type" is selected, only to drop Extra should be displayed. If the option "account" is selected, the drop-down list is visible and the DD category is hidden. The reverse is true if the 'category' option is selected.

Here's how I build my QML document:

void Testing::updateFields()
{
if (m_form.isNull())
return;

// Clear all fields from the form
m_form->removeAll();

// Clear the internal mapping
m_fields.clear();

//get the transaction page ready
QmlDocument *qml = QmlDocument::create("asset:///transaction.qml").parent(this);

DropDown* trans_type = qml->createRootObject();
trans_type = DropDown::create().title("Transaction Type");
trans_type->add(Option::create().text("Accounts").value("0"));
trans_type->add(Option::create().text("Categories").value("1"));
trans_type->setSelectedIndex(0);
connect(trans_type, SIGNAL(selectedIndexChanged (int)), this, SLOT(onDDChange(int)));
m_form->add(trans_type);

DropDown* account_dd = qml->createRootObject();
account_dd = DropDown::create().title("Account");
account_dd->add(Option::create().text("No Account").value("0"));
//... code to populate account drop down here...
account_dd->setSelectedIndex(0);
m_form->add(account_dd);

DropDown* category_dd = qml->createRootObject();
category_dd = DropDown::create().title("Category").visible(false);
category_dd->add(Option::create().text("No Category").value("0"));
//... code to populate category drop down here...
category_dd->setSelectedIndex(0);
m_form->add(category_dd);

}

Everything is displayed properly on the page. onDDChange is called and it shows a Toast that the option has been selected. Here is what I currently have in onDDChange:

void Testing::onDDChange(const int &info)
{
QString msg = "Switched To: ";
if(info == 0) {
msg = msg + "Account";
} else if(info==1) {
msg = msg + "Category";
} else {
msg = msg + "Unrecognized";
}
showToast(msg);
}

I can't figure out how to get the drop down lists to be visible/hidden depending on the needs. There is a function "setVisible()" for the drop, but I can not understand how to operate without the app crashing. http://developer.BlackBerry.com/Cascades/reference/bb__cascades__dropdown.html#function-setVisible-v...

My questions are:

1. How can I change the visibility of the appropriate dropdown lists in a different function when the status of the main drop-down list is changed?

2. is there a way to define an id for drop-down lists? If not, how am I supposed to go into the drop-down lists in a variable later so I can receive their value or change the visibility?

Any help would be great. I've been struggling with this for a while.

There are a number of methods you could use signals and slots between your code and the QML or something simple is assign "objectName" as a property, then this search in C++.

http://developer.BlackBerry.com/Cascades/documentation/dev/integrating_cpp_qml/

Something like

DropBox db = mRootContainer->findChild("dropboxname");
db->setVisible(true);
