  Hi all

  First time post here - wahoo!  :-)  Brand new user of LiveCycle, and so far I'm loving - very cool app!  I am a bit puzzled, however, and hoping someone can help...

  I am using LiveCycle version 8.05 and try to build a form that has a drop-down list with departments in our Organization.  If the user selects the elements 1-5 on my list, I want two other fields at autopopulated (one for the Admin Assistant) and one for Dept Head.  If however the user selects 'Other', I want a text box (it will be hidden the rest of the time) where the person will be able to type in the Department they work for.  For now, I'm only interested on getting the box 'Other' to appear; I'll worry about the other stuff later.

  Elsewhere in my form, I have a functioning drop-down list that displays a text based on the selection field; However, for some reason this logic does not work with the situation described above.

  My code for the working text field is (in JavaScript)

  After many fruitless hours yesterday, I got only to the extent where the code below; This was more or less copied right out of a post here.  When I click on the drop-down list, select 'Other', the text field is displayed.  I tried the definition of the text field to the times 'Hidden' and 'Visible' through properties of the object, but no luck.  I tried to use IF statements, subforms and anything else I could think of but am getting nowhere.

  Any ideas?  This is very new to me, but I am familiar with other programming languages, and something this simple should not be difficult which leads me to think I'm missing something.

• Where is the list button drop down bookmark?

  I had to download an older Firefox to retrieve my bookmarks button.

  In two steps, I looked at Firefox destroying one of the most important tools in the habit of browsing MINE.

  First the bookmark button has been combined with the bookmarks menu and the Sidebar Bookmark, so when I pressed on the bookmark button is sometimes open Panel, sometimes the menu and sometimes the right SIDE of the menu drop down. Every night in the latest iteration of the key looks strange and only opens a popup of library... I tried to disable all plugins. I tried to install the classic toolbar. I tried to look this up on google... but nothing has worked for me yet.

  I just my normal Favorites drop-down button to return so I can surf my sites with a hand on my mouse... without having to type on the keyboard.

  I would have liked to post some images for convenience of everyone but don't know how.

  Well I tried to do some screenshots and had to reinstalled 27.01 and button is now back in its original form works... YAY...

  For me, it is so fixed, sorry for the inconvenience.

• Where is the next pages drop-down list?

  Next to the buttons to navigate forward or backward between pages viewed, it used to be that a menu drop-down list but this disappeared.

  This means that if I want to go back to a site I visited five pages ago I must now press the back button five times.

  It is annoying and can be a problem if one of these pages is interactive. On one occasion, it meant that I actually purchased something twice because I introduced new content of order form when you try to move backward in simple steps.

  How can I return the drop-down list?

  Make a right-click on the arrow (s) should produce what you want. You can also hold left click down for a few seconds. If you want the marker to fall back, there is a new extension-

• Where has the "recent Pages" drop down disappeared?

  For many versions, adjacent to the arriere-boutons of navigation was a small arrow icon to view the history stack and a way to quickly return several levels. It was not only a convenience, which was a necesssity to sites VILLAINS which intercept the button back and you keep hostage on their site.

  Sorry, this drop-marker was removed in Firefox 4.0 versions in the 'quest' to make Firefox like Chrome (browser-envy). If you click on the unified button, the Web sites ' return / advance "will be displayed.

• Several problems with embedded DHTML menu text boxes, drop-down

  We have recently improved HR 10 HR 2015.  We know a menu dhtml drop-down text question existed prior to the upgrade and the upgrade did not fix it.  We now have a more serious problem.  We are not certain that all started with the upgrade, but we detected it after you convert our projects to HR 2015 and republish them.  I list both here in case they are connected.

  The problem known: styles of multilevel list to the level of the main topic and within the text box drop-down dhtml to first level.  However, if we add a drop-down list box text in a drop-down text box and apply a list style at several levels to the text in the drop-down text embedded dhtml, the topic seems in good shape on the Design tab, but loses the line numbers or bullets in the preview and in the published version.  No idea what would cause the list not to display properly or how to get the multilevel list styles to work in this situation?  (Yes, we know we can use styles list rather than multilevel list styles, but it is problematic, too)

  

  The novelty is that, when content is published and read in IE or Chrome (the two major browsers use customers), the drop-down text link embedded dhtml is always present, but the text in the drop-down list embedded dhtml has disappeared (for example, nothing happens when you click on the link to open the text box).  It works in preview, but not when accessed through a browser (or access to the content of webhelp after publication to a server directly from my local computer).  Any ideas on how to get it to display?  The net result for our users, is that a substantial PART of the content of the assistance amount is now more accessible.

  Here are a few things that I would consider trying.

  First, click on Tools > update DHTML and let it do its thing.

  

  A test to see if something has changed. If so, great!

  If the problem persists, open one of the samples project. Click here to see a video on how to do

  Then open Windows Explorer. Click here to see a video on how to do

  Find and copy a file called ehlpdhtm.js and return to your project and paste this file into so that it replaces the one that is there.

  Then see if things are better.

• Swap Image onclick for Drop-Down Hotspot

  I use RoboHelp 8 to generate WebHelp output.

  In a small number of help topics, I've included a picture of the button (bttn_moreHelp_up.jpg) as a menu drop-down. When you click on the image, the text of the menu drop-down appears as expected. What I want to do, it's also swap the image when you click on it (to bttn_moreHelp_down.jpg) and then change it when you click New. The images have arrows winding to show expanded or collapsed.

  Is there something that I can add or change in the HTML code to swap the image? Here's what the HTML code looks like now:

  I want to apply drop-down hotspots (hope I use the good jargon) to my FAQ so that it would allow the user to expand them or collapse related issues.

  My concern is now that the object shows all the content of the Panel, once you open the page and you must enable the execution of the script from the browser to really perform its function so I guess that it defeated the purpose.  No work around on this?

  I am not afraid.  98% of people have JavaScript active because it is a widely used web programming language.  JavaScript is supported in all default web devices.  If you have JavaScript disabled on your system, you do not represent the majority of users.

  Is there a way to drop-down hotspots? When I started my project, I used drop-down hotspots and realized that this configuration was not well run. I converted most of them, but I would look for the entire project to ensure that I found and converted all the hotspots.

  Illustrator CC - tools does not have access to the menu options drop down

  For example, I want to change the shape of rectangle to oval, press and hold on the shape of rectangle (default) will not give access to the other options of shape.  Or, for another example, the text tool will not allow access to type on a path options.

  Can someone help me on this? I performed a brand new PC and CC (the most recent copy) Illustrator.

  Where is the history of Page down arrow? This should be part of the front/rear icon in the bar address. Do not display in Vista.
  All I have is before arrows and back - without arrow that would put upward recent pages in the load order.

  The story is still which are listed there. Hold just click the back button (or ctrl + click on it) to reveal the history of this tab.

  How to delete a contact in the menu 'To' drop down when starting a new email?  Email is no longer in my list of contacts, but he continues to appear in the menu drop down and too often I am wrong send something to the wrong email since it is at the top of the drop-down list.

  2 possibilities:

  1. you have an invitation, that you still need to answer. The name stays on until you refuse the invitation. Then it will go away.

  Make sure you have last DC of Reader Acrobat installed on your system.

  I bought Adobe Acrobat Standard DC (English Windows) and is installed on the PC. When installing Adobe Acrobat found an existing version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and was asked to remove it. I clicked Yes to remove it. Then I tried to open DC Standard Adobe and Adobe asked to sigh in for the first time. After that, a message popped up asking to provide a serial number of the previous version of Adobe. In the previous Version drop-down box there is no Adobe 9. The oldest version is Adobe Acrobat X.

  I think that the question, pretty much sum it up. I selected the mode full screen in the 'firefox' upper-left drop-down list box, but once in full screen, the drop-down list box is unavailable. How to return to the standard display?

  Press the F11 key to toggle in and out of fashion full screen.

  Or, move the mouse to the top of the screen and right click on the '+' (new tab) button, or in an empty area of the tab bar, or an empty area after the address box and exit the full screen on the shortcut menu.
