• Why can I not see my photos on the icloud for my Ipad?

  When I was upgrading my ipad to the updated software it hung.  I've been back up my photos to the icloud for more than a year, but they do not appear here my ipad or all of my devices families shared?  Why is this?

  You should check iCloud.com, Photos. If you, the pictures are stored here they are uploaded to the iCloud (and will be downloaded to a device if you connect).

  If you don't see all of the Photos, they are not in iCloud. You can check if you have a backup (on iCloud or iTunes) but if you do not have to guess they're gone.

  Regular backups to iCloud do not include photos if iCloud library is set on "on".

  You can do this by creating a smart album with the constarints

  Key word is...

  and

  album is...

  For example, this smart album will find all photos with the keyword "Flower" in the album "Patagonia 2007."...

  I use XP SP3.  I recently downloaded Windows Search 4.0.

  When the Windows search results window opens, I noticed that it is possible to search for text in the preview pane.  I click on a file and go to OPTIONS > COMPONENT of VISUALIZATION, but see that FIND is grayed out and unavailable.

  This function worked before, when I loaded Windows Search first; now, it no longer works.  My files have been fully indexed; and I made no changes to the computer since then.  I tried to restart the computer, but there was no change.

  I recommend trying a system restore to see if that solves the problem. Try this:
  1. click on START

  2. click on "all programs".

  3. click on "Accessories".

  4. click on "system tools."

  5. click on "system restore."

  6 follow the prompts shown to restore your system to a date before the problem started. Although the system restore does not target the personal data, it is recommended that you back up all data such as music, photos and documents in case something is not bad.

  Note that if you open the Photos on your Mac and go to preferences and click on iCloud at the top of the preferences window, there are 2 options: 'Download the originals of this Mac' and 'Optimize Mac storage.' If you choose the option optimize and your Mac is low on storage space, then the originals can be replaced with smaller optimized versions.

  I have it! It's the topic: config "hiddenoneoffs" where the 3 elements of google, maps and mcafee have been included. There was no space between Google and maps. I put one in from Google Maps.   If you have iCloud enabled library, all the photos that you delete from your phone will be deleted to iCloud and other devices connected to this library to iCloud. The more you can do to reduce storage required on the phone is to activate settings > iCloud > Photos > optimize iPhone storage.

  Apple is currently not all parameters of cloud storage only. You can suggest that more options are available through http://www.apple.com/feedback/icloud.html

  There are 3rd party cloud services that only have a cloud options.

  It is my understanding that all it take with either my iPad iphone are stored in icloud.  Yet, when I opened the icloud icon on my home screen indicate none.  Only two icons appear.  They are numbers and Pages.  Photos shouldn't be listed?  They appear if I open the Photos icon on the home screen.

  Log on to iCloud.com from a browser on a computer and see if they are there. Otherwise, they are not uploaded to iCloud and there are many causes for this. If you have Photos on under iCloud, they would be part of a backup to iCloud but not visible on iCloud. If you have iCloud library turned, they should appear on iCloud but this comes with the other consequences, see here:

  The photos are chronologically in the 'Photos' album, if you click the left arrow in the upper left corner of the screen, you can go to the display of "collections" instead of see 'moments', if you click on it again you will be taken to the view of "year".
