Hi, I recently formatted my HD and clean installed with an older version of Win7 Pro SP1 x 64 OS, I more than a week now looking online for help, but nothing is. Windows Update appears to hang "search for updates". I don't presume that my Pc is virus free because of a clean install, so I'm not sure that Microsoft stopped providing updates for older versions of windows or not. I also tried to upgrade to OS 64-bit win10 everything works fine with the installation until it reaches "search for updates" which also hangs and does not download updates, I tried Microsoft stand-alone install also but who doesn't either. I also tried running "Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics Tool" results are lower. I also tried to reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on the Microsoft Web site and found a windows "0x80070005" error code also known as "access denied." Something to do with registry permissions I think. A boot minimum, then run the Microsoft fixit would fix the issue im having with windows update.

The driver of the Web site for intel does not work.
It is a software Intel Wlan (not WLan driver)
You can download it directly from the Intel page and it works since it worked on my laptop too.

I can not even find my model of my laptop and when I try to search by series said num num of invalid series so kindly adviseHi dude
I think that the reason why you can't find the laptop is that this model of laptop belongs to the Toshiba U.S. series and you have searched the European driver Toshiba page.
Here is the page of the Toshiba driver we:

Finger print reader does not connect for Win7 Logon Screen
Win7 Ultimate 64 bit
5.9.4 fingerprint software
Biometric accepted link to windows Logon
Client Domain Server MS
At the start of the system, the logon screen appears and the fingerprints light is 'on '. I scan my finger, the light blinks once and no presentation of the Windows password in the logon window. I have to enter password.
Lenovo support asked me to uninstall software, of the clear BIOS saved digital fingerprints then re - install (and re-record). I did it twice without any change.
It worked until I had to break the connection of field (server change) and re log on to the domain with the same opening of session and password. It was at this time that the finger print reader stopped passing the biometric password to the BONE.
Any thoughts on how to re - connect the reader to open a session?
If you enter the control panel and search for "biometric" you should have an option to 'change the biometric parameters '. If you click this option, you should have a checkbox indicating "Allow users to log on to a domain by using their fingerprints", make sure that having checked if you want to connect with a domain account using your fingerprint. When remove you / add the computer to a domain, so I believe that this option will be restored back to being disabled must be re-activated.

Search for Explorer windows can actually be done to find things?
In Win7. I have an application that has created several .txt files that contain the word "overwhelmed".
Can't find anything using the search box. I tried to watch the key word of formatting and can't find anything that fit my need. Find all of the .txt files that contain exceeded. Is there a better method or tool?
Thank you
It depends on where the file is. Research 'in' a file takes some time, so the system ignores places like C:\ and C:\Windows which are not likely to care about you files. The search tool only look inside the key places like your desktop, Documents and downloads folders. And even in this case, it works like Google - it takes time for her to see the new or modified files (or Web sites).
But it's just the default. You can do better. For example, you can enable full search for files in Non-Indexed [Video] folders or
Search instantly inside other Types of files [video]. There are also a few methods where you can Boost Windows Search in two steps. All 3 of these handsets are much more powerful and useful tool.

I have 64 bit Win7 Pro.
I have a C:\Users\Owner\Documents\PRG folder with a number of Foxpro. PRG (plain text) files. I can't get Windows Search to search for files. For example, several files have the command "TO PAINT" in them. If I bring up an Explorer window and use PAINT, I just get 3 file names that have PAINT in them without a content search. I've read other suggestions to use ' content: 'paint' ' but that no results me at all. I tried another suggestion: a window withCMD searchFile-name: "*." ' * ' - content: "painting" and got an error that says'searchFile' is not recognized as internal or external, command an executable program or batch file.
I have to install a UNIX client to get a search utility that can find things I need? At this point, I'll take something that actually works.
If you type a Search in the research area, scroll down to change the way Windows search. The first page allows you to change the folders that are included in the search. Under the buttonAdvanced -> File Types , you can select which extensions are included in the search. You can also add a new extension if it is not listed.
See you soon,.

My computer (explorer.exe) continues the search for readers/records.
Hi experts, I need help on my PC.
After working with my PC for several hours and minutes when I click/Open 'My Computer' it continues the search for my hard drives and folders in libraries, favorite & computer. He just continues to research and does not display my partition/HARD drive. http://i793.Photobucket.com/albums/yy217/aznix2020/Untitled.PNG
However, its not freezing or hang up and I can always open my drives/folders by using the command run and after a while it will work fine again.
Is not a serious problem at the moment because it works well after a while but it's a hassle.
Also im wondering if this is my drive display relationships safely remove HARD in the options in the task bar. Although the option remove appear for less than a month before I encountered this problem.
My PC is win7 32 bit sp1. Thanks in advance. This problem can be caused by a video driver obsolete or damaged, file system on your PC can be damaged or do not correspond with other files and certain applications or services that are running on your computer may be responsible for Windows Explorer to stop working.

Note: Before you perform an upgrade in-place, you must be prepared for the worst scenarios that led to your existing data on your computer being deleted. These data include data personal, settings, information about the hardware and software drivers. In case of a worst case scenario, you may have to reinstall all the programs. Make sure that you back up personal data to disks or other external storage devices before performing an upgrade on the spot.
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Important: System Restore will return all system files not as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system. If it was your intention with this tool to recover a deleted file to non-system, try using a file instead of system restore recovery program.

How can I use windows search to search for pdf files containing a specific word?
I have a folder with several pdf files. When I use windows search for a word that I know exists in one of the files, I get no results. It does not work when I use the content: either.
How can I use windows search to search for pdf files containing a specific word?
Do I need to install something to activate search within .pdf?
If you use Win7 32 bit, the iFilter is bundled with Acrobat Reader 9. On Win7 64-bit, you will need to install it separately.

search for "informant" retrieves "information."
When I search for "informant", Thunderbird back emails highlighting the word 'information '. I want only e-mail with "informant." I tried to put it in quotes, but that did not help.
You know the folder in which it is in? If so, you could try the quickfilter, or an older search via ctrl + shift + f.
