Problem of fusion and mailing

I'm running OS X 10.9.5 on an iMac and want to use the mail merge feature in Pages 09 (version 4.0). It works fine on my old machine (10.7.5) but not on the most recent one.

Pages always seems to have the mail merge and merge feature, but I can't change the merge fields.

Did someone knows a way around this, on this machine? Merge and direct mail is a very important tool in our business and I feel vulnerable with only a computer - an older - which is able to do this.

What specific version of Pages ' 09 (menu Pages: pages) you have, and was originally installed from the DVD of iWork ' 09 retail, or purchased through the OS X App Store as an individual application?

    I'm doing a Super mailing base, and it just doesn't work. I get the error message "Please select a numbers document that has one or more columns named header and one or several lines of data."

    I use a numbers document that has the columns header (which are designated as such) and the data underneath it. IT just. Doesn't work. Work. I got it works in Word/Excel (which took more than an hour, because I had to figure out on my own that even this does not work with the .xlsx files, only .xls)- but I don't want to use Word because the Pages present more pleasant letter templates. And frankly, now that's just * me off.

    So, how can this be repaired? I mean - mail merging, in 1996, was a piece of cake using ClarisWorks. Why hell is it a problem now?

    Through information in the image and your list of products at the end of your post, I suspect that the problem is that the application of WP's Pages ' 09 and the application of the SS is numbers 3.x, which the earlier version of Pages does not like a ' document Numbers ('09)»

    Unless you deliberately deleted Numbers ' 09 on this computer, it should always be available (applications > iWork09 > numbers).

    Save or export your document numbers in the format Numbers ' 09 3.x.

    Exit number 3.

    Launch of Numbers ' 09.

    Use file > open to open the copy exported in Numbers ' 09.

    Then try the merge again.

    I'm trying to merge the pages with number to send letters to my clients.  Use merge data of Pages with no problems until recently.  When I try to merge my data, data of Pages merge does not detect the support to place text in my document.  I guess that the question is due to software updates for pages, etc. ??  I'm using an IMac with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and 5.6.1 Pages.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I really need to go back to my letters.  Are there any other software that I can use or maybe better?

    Continue to use the Pages ' 09 v4.3 in your Applications: iWork ' 09 file. Any rejection of Pages v5 only has the ability to merge data from e-mail/native built into the application, and older Pages ' 09 has.

  • InDesign, fusion and mailing: change of the function "record per page.

    I am a new user of InDesign and have a problem that I spent several days trying to correct.  In short, we are 'attempt' create our product catalog by importing our QuickBooks data (such as a csv or txt file).

    I think I've isolated the problem to the installation of "records per page.

    For some reason any, when I open the .csv or .txt file (window > utility > data merge).

    Since the Panel to merge the data, I select the source file, and the box 'Create a merged Document' begins.

    However, the ID is defaulting to one record per page.  When I open the presentation of Multiple recording tab I get... "optiion disabled because only the record is selected... »

    I spent several days of reading every post I could find on this and I go brain dead.  Can someone help me out here?

    Thank you for taking the time to put video capture whole.  Unfortunately, he is suspended until about a third of the way through...

    What he shows is open a blank sheet, opening Pages and opening and then merge the data...

    As you can see on the below two screen captures, I don't even get the ability to merge data into my Pages dialog box...?

    So, I wonder if I have a problem with my installation ID or some corrupted how a configuration or default file... Hmmmm

    I have re-installed ID - probably didn't need to do - and delete the cache files and the Setup program that was the culprit.  Now works perfectly... go figure :-)

    If you talk about the concept of fusion and mailing, which offers the same report with different content to multiple users. There is a concept called bursting into BI Publisher works. Take a look at BI Publisher characteristic burst.

    I suggest blind carbon copy yourself e-mails coming out in the future to check for other errors and if they happen then find a new Web hosting provider.  They should have been aware of the conflicts, one would presume.

    Please can anyone help about a merger and mailing, I try to make the page numbers.

    I used to be able to do so using the application that I downloaded from http://iworkautomation.com/ however this seems to have disappeared and I found nowhere else.

    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    I am faced with an unexpected problem with Quicktime and I Movie, and I was wondering if someone had already known that:

    I want to create a film based on shots from my personal camera. I started to work with IMovie to create a sequence of opening and added his musical band. I exported the scenes in Quick Time format without any problem. However, when I merge the exported sequence of I film with shots of my video camera, the soundtrack is completely eliminated.

    I checked on the Internet and saw that there might be a problem of "Codecs". To avoid this, I exported the sequence IMovie with Codecs of same as one of my video camera files.

    Now, if I compare the files exported from I Movie and those of my video camera, they have identical characteristics. However, the soundtrack will always disappear when I merge them.

    Could someone please help me solve this problem?

(I.e. a "QuickTime" format is any form of data compatible with the platform of supply and the specific structure of QT incorporated into real employment that is stored in a container of MOV file on any of up to 99 tracks possible). Also, what app do you use for reading the file 'merged '? (For example, some media players ignore secondary audio tracks as a result of some methods of 'fusion' of files so it is important to know how the files are "merged," whether or not the audio data are "scattered" several tracks, and/or if the Media Player supports playback of multiple, sequential audio popular.)

    As a general rule, you should review the file "merged" to determine why it does not play back correctly rather than comparing the characteristics of the source being merged files. The main problem here seems to be in your project workflow. That is, you seem to be when you perform an operation in two steps rather than edit several iMove multimedia files and then export the combined results in a video the video and audio tracks have been flattened and exported in standard compression formats with unified settings, features and the.

    Recently upgraded my Mac mini to El Capitan. Before the upgrade (from Mountain Lion), I got Thunderbird mail application works perfectly access my GMail account and my Hotmail account. Now, I have no problem with Hotmail and Gmail keeps asking for the password to connect to the gmail imap server.     Since I've updated my iPhone 6 more (128 GB) iOS 9.3, an annoying problem has come to life in Safari and Mail.

    In Safari, I can do a search or add a site URL Web through the top bar, but then I can't navigate more because one of the links is clickable, but nothing happens... and it seems that Safari freezes for a short period.

    I agree. It is a known issue and Apple is working on a fix to 9.3. This article summarizes some of the problems with the current version. To disable Javascript in Safari, but this sacrifices the features of the web browser.

    Checked the wifi & browser settings.

    Do not remember something like what happens when connected online cat5.

    Another pc on the network does not appear to be a problem.

    You can connect an Ethernet cable to see if it works on Ethernet when you encounter problems easily?

    Try to use your own DNS server.  Because if the DNS server that you use currently is not translate www.company.com name to IP address nn.nn.nn.nn, it will look like you do not have internet access.

    System Preferences-> network-> advanced-> DNS-> [+]

    You can remove them later if you want using the [---] button.

    If this does not work, it could mean that your router is having problems.  Most routers act as the local DNS server, make a cache and especially fair bet as a DNS server provided a front for the access provider.  If the router begins to act, it can often be cleared by power cycling the router.

    And once again, if you provide your own DNS server works, then it could be DNS servers of the ISP, but less likely that they would be getting a lot of complaints from their customers (assuming that customers thought it was DNS servers).
