Sectioning ThinkVantage Connection Manager FOR GOOD!

Hi everyone-

Can someone tell me how to disconnect my T-500 connection manager? I am running XP Pro on this machine. I would just use the wifi Manager instead. I don't want to uninstall it if I don't have to.

Thank you

Why not just uninstall it if you want to remove it?

If you want to temporarily kill the dial-up connections, open a command prompt or run this command

qctray /killac

and restart

qctray /startac

I strongly suggest to disable only not services.

  • HP Connection Manager for RDP + kiosk

Anyone know of any good RPD Connection Manager that worked as old thin clients HP T5500 series? We bought a bunch of T5740 and PUE HP connection manager really.

The former Manager works fantastic, it prompted for the user name and password and then that passed to RDP to connect to our Terminal Server.

Now it comes to automatically connect to the TS server, and users get a time-out error when you try to open a session, forcing them to enter their credentials again.

HP even test these things before installing these applications?

    Hello

So if you use ThinShell, you don't need/use of connection manager.

BUT if you want ThinPro, V4.4 will install on the T5740. The client RDP don't is not too rich on ThinPro as she WES7, but if it does what you need and you're happy with it - go ahead.

I think that you are fighting with is that Microsoft RDP client (MSTSC) is not particularly pleasant, when the device is not in the field. She wants to collect the credentials before the connection, so it can then switch to the gateways and servers. This is different from the former client who has not requested until you are connected to the server.

What I've used in the past with HP ThinShell is an excellent free utility

    http://www.donkz.nl/ called RDP Plus.

It allows a LOT of qualifiers from the command line to get the behavior you're after and hide things, that you don't need. Really, it's a wrapper of MSTSC client.

    Example to connect with FreeRDP.

    "RDP. "EXE/Wait /fullscreen /v:dc1.thinnet.local /domain:thinnet /ontop/noclose/Wait /drives: - c, - z /noprinters / u: Thinnet\.

    I hope this helps.

  • Connection Manager for Windows 8 HP

Hello, I need to know were I can find the 8 HP for Windows Connection Manager.

I have an Elitebook 8470p comes with windows 7 Pro that I have upgraded to Windows 8 Pro.

I have all the drivers and aoftware, but need the HP connection manager to establish a 3G connection.

    Kind regards

OK, knowing that you upgraded to windows 8. Connection Manager does not come with Win8.

Windows 8 built in connection in the charms bar Manager, that you can use. When you have installed Win8 you got an error message asking to claim for compensation.

I should have told you earlier, I was confused with the whole issue and you had only 1 simple question. Sorry!

  • Connection Manager for the Office of blackBerry Smartphones

I hope someone can help me with my Desktop Manager. I can't it connect with my BB "BOLD".

I downloaded the Desktop Manager 4.7 version (I already got 4.6, but could not get it to recognize the BB) and I downloaded the USB driver software.

When I connect the BB to the USB I know it connects because Adobe will light up and the photos appear.

But I can't connect the device in the lower left corner of the Desktop Manager away from the connection of the device (PIN) NONE. Frustrating, it's only once or twice during the 3 months, it is connected, but most of the time does not and will not at all now.

I also tried Bluetooth. The BB and the pc recognize each other but still no connection to the Desktop Manager.

    I use MS XP

  • Cable connection part for good - once I started using the wireless NETWORK card!

    Hello

I went although all people in support on this issue, but now I have no other choice than to ask all you people here!

That is the problem. I have two computers with multiple network cards. One is a laptop computer with wireless Draft-N support and 10/100/1000 NIC onboard. The other is a desktop computer with an ASUS Wifi b/g edge and also dual GigE ports nVidia graphics card.

Whenever I try to use network wired for internet or local network even cards use, it died on me. It is impossible to obtain an IP address from the router to use and is unable to communicate with anyone at all. Not even with my local network or even directly to the router (192.168.1.1). If I turn on the wireless card, it connects and everything is groovy (except that I lost my GigE connection to my local network, which is most important!).

I havegone through the standard fare of cyclic power to the router and cable modem, reboot of my machines, etc. all the normal things, we are required to do.

After some hassles with the support of Linksys to get them to send me a new WRT330N, I finally received a new WRT310N and it shows exactly the same problem! Wireless connections work fine, but as soon as I disable the WiFi and wired go, Windows XP gives me nothing else than a message "limited or no connectivity" and let me out of the network.

This leads me to think it's some sort of network problem due to multiple MACs on the same host name. Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

    Thank you!

Disable the firewall on the computer and then also try to connect the computer to the modem and check if the computer is able to connect.

  • Access to the XML schemas from the connection manager?

The connection manager for a connection opened in version 4 is no longer an 'XML Schémas' icon (Java and XML patterns seem to have been deleted between versions 3 and 4). Is there a definition that can return the XML schemas?

    Using lists yet... »

    XML schemas

XML schemas are definitions of schema, written in XML, that describe the structure and various other semantics of XML instance documents. For conceptual and information on the use of XML schemas, see the Guide of Oracle XML DB Developer in the Oracle database documentation library.

You can change an XML schema by right clicking in the connections Navigator XML schema name and selecting open from the menu. You can delete a selected schema by selecting the Drop Schema menu. » ...

The XML node drawings missing in the connections Navigator is a known issue for the 4.0.1.  The 4.0.2 patch is a fix.

Regarding the Java node, it seems to me in all versions 4.0.x.  Maybe your Preferences... > Database > Navigation filter turned it off?

  • Policies for approval 11g IOM - approval rule to check the Connection Manager

    Hello

I have a requirement in which if the applicant of a resource is a Manager, while demand should automatically be approved. However if the applicant is one person other than the owner, then it should be assigned to the Manager for approval. Is it possible to do this verification in the approval rule?

My idea was to create two trust policies for the same resource with a single policy with auto approve activated if the connection applicant is same as connection of eating of the beneficiary and other policies with the default approval process BeneficiaryManager if the connection of the applicant is different from the connection of the beneficiary. I don't know if the approval rule can be configured to check these values during execution.

Any kind of help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.

    Concerning
    Deepa

To do this, you change the task of bpel and specify the condition to jump for the task. In the rule to jump, you must specify if the applicant is responsible for the user (the two values that you get in the payload). Set it up this way auto approve request to the Manager.
Also be sure to affect the outcome of the BPEL task of condition of approval so that IOM does not wait for the State.

  • IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for VCB, Good - Bad - or ugly?

Currently, we plan to use Tivoli Storage Manager for VCB.  We will install VCB on our virtual center server and want to install TSM 5.5 for backup.  Using Tivoli Storage Manager 5.5 for VCB?  It works well, or not?  Components/versions do you use?

    Thank you!

With only a couple of hosts, you should be OK combining VC and VCB. If you enter a crisis, there is no reason NOT to vCenter virtual machine. This will help you with the costs of material.

  • ThinkVantage Password Manager and Google Chrome

I have an SL500 with 4 GB ram and love it.  I live in neat password manager that comes with it.

Googles new browser "Chrome" is pretty good.  I know that its early days, but I would like to start the ball rolling now thinking... If Lenovo lets get our Thinkvantage password manager working with Chrome.   Maybe for other browsers too?

Google Chrome does not support plugins yet, you can check the Q & A on the google Web site.

  • Connection Manager will not cooperate

Although I finally got SharePoint 2010 to connect to FrameMaker, I have a terrible time with the connection manager. I can't seem to re-enter a connection - specify only news. When I provide the details of an existing connection and click on connect, I get this:

    ErrorMessage.png

I know it exists! I want to choose the repository called, but Connection Manager apparently thinks his job is only to create new connections. What I'm missing here?

Oh, when I open the repository Manager, there no repository listed there. If I specify a different name in the connection, which will be listed, but of course manager who built a new local path and all the files that I had checked my last session are not present in the new path. This will never do.

How can I open the repository that I already had open and filled with files?

Edit: I sort of understood a workaround solution - when the connection manager appears, if I remove the repository that there are listed, and then specify its connection settings, it is finally open. This could not be the way it is supposed to work, according to the instructions in the help file. I'm a bit wary of doing things in this way - I've already lost some data because of this. Ideas anyone?

The Port and the password in mine are also empty. We use the default port, so I leave the field blank. I have to enter the password every time I want to connect.

A connection to http:/mySharePoint with a white port (by default) is not the same as a connection to the http:/mySharePoint with a specified port. Looks like that when you type the Port, the connection manager think that you ask for another connection with the same name, so you get the error.

If you can connect by taking special measures, you must provide a good server and port when you set the connection at first. You say that your point of entry is not registered?

I would try to connect without specifying a Port. If this does not work, try to set up a connection and leave the white Port. The documentation shows one, but I didn't need, and unless there is something special about your SharePoint installation, you probably don't either.

  • Hello, is anyonr know how to 'PERMANENTLY' turn off this caret annoying navigation feature for good...

It's weird, it only keeps popping up (keyboard navigation) when I use the Google search which I love to use as my primary search enging and does not occur when I use other search engines such as Yahoo, Bing, and so on. "I want to just turn it off for good. I have tried everything that I know, is gone in the config and changed page navigation features to false and it still not to disable it and other measures to try to disable way permanently and he always comes back. I have Firefox version 33 with Windows 7. ANY help with this annoying feature would be appreciated, thanks...

Special treatment of Google and the down arrows - they move a blue triangle from one result to the other - is a JavaScript that you load from the site and is not caused by the Firefox caret browsing feature.

From the discussions on the Google support forum:

    • The blue arrow is displayed when you are not signed in to a Google account (I have not test connected)

I have a not aware of any other way to disable it otherwise than for connect or turn off instant results. It is always possible that someone created an add-on to do this.
